They put in time, money and resources and the trade-off is that you have the pleasure of earning a few "basis points" to defer your spending. But that same earning also bleeds value which helps lube up the hamster wheel we all have to run on. We can see the problem here. It is easy for the system to take money in and manage its drawdown. But can it give a massive windfall to the masses in the event of an upside down trade like this? I think it has a lot of trouble doing so, because so much of the system is set up to put a DAMPER on your spending ability.
