If you aren't a pajeet (45% chance), or trolling (45% chance), those are very bad ideas.
I already have an economics degree, finishing my masters (unrelated field), and then my phD (unrelated field).
>>
>>61186186
Why are they bad ideas? You are clearly qualified to day trade stocks with those credentials. Are you telling me to get a PhD? I have been trying but I can't get in, the latest one is ghosting after the first interview. I want a PhD but it's a job, so they only give it to one of the 500 people who apply and get through the system.

That's why I want to do the MBA because it will qualify me to trade stocks and maybe get me into management because tech seems dead.

when you're setting up an order in your brokerage account, one of the order types you can choose instead of "market" or "limit" is "MOC" for "Market On Close"

these are normally used by institutions

all those orders get bundled together and executed (if possible) at the final moment before the market closes, which is why the last candle always has gigantic volume

the daily MOC imbalance shows whether institutions ended the day feeling bullish or bearish

today's imbalance is unusually bearish

a lot of times it means nothing, but sometimes it's a signal of things to come

also i just need to diversify away from ai, infrastructure shit will still panic dip but they'll pull through just fine through a recession because it's infrastructure and it's one of the first things increased money liquidity flows through from govt spending

>CXDO
>NXGL
>IDN
>IZEA
outside of CXDO they're all technically not profitable yet but as you can see with something like IDN they have a very high gross margin, expecting to pivot to high cash generating. ideally lol.
generally when you're buying shit that is still burning cash, it's fine as long as they're growing revenues faster than expenses are increasing

ur gonna have to figure out yourself if these are really value picks or if theyre value traps
i could very well be just a one-trick pony who got lucky in a bull market and falsely believe i found a method that works.
rest of my shit is canadian, taking advantage of illiquidity there to get some value picks when the rest of the market is already fully valued. As long as Im right then although it's illiquid, if theres institutional discovery like what happened to PNG.V, ZDC.V, GSI.V (ai dashcams) and so on, then you get practically unlimited liquidity briefly during those discovery times to take profits

and just to add
2nd biggest position is still leafshit -> residential real estate in secondary markets (i.e. not in toronto/vancouver)

lots of people are scared to touch real estate, it's gonna crash and whatever, they were prob right it did dump pretty hard and continues to do so since 2022
but i mean if the stock is trading at $2 and the NAV is like $4.50 that seems like a nice trade

i like those kind of lopsided risk-reward plays,
IZEA the US one is burning cash but their net cash value is basically $3/share while they're trading at $5 now and pivoting to profitability (i.e. stop spending like a tech company for growth at all costs -> focus on monetizing instead). Most of my shit have no analyst covering it but this one actually does, $10 target price on it

i mean it makes sense and yes TTM they're still burning cash but i should clarify their Q2 was actually profitable
that said the actual business sounds so stupid, it's basically managing fucking influencers. Or well to make it sound nicer, they're basically an advertising firm, they were involved with the F1 movie and Warner Brothers paid them a lot for that

Here's what I've been trading/watching in the past three months (in order of relevance): TSMX, RGTZ, IONZ, JDST, GGLL, AMZU, NVDL, SOXL, SOXS.

Particularly, quantum has been an incredible hedge to semiconductors recently. When semis drop, quantum giga-dumps. You can hold both (i.e., long semi, short quantum) and they move at an advantageous ratio. Entry point, of course, is important (e.g., never buy leveraged stock when it's green).
>>
>>61187014
Interesting. I've been wheeling SOXL for about 7 months but the bid-asks are getting really wide lately. I'll have to look at quantum as a hedge.

>Till Oct. 1
The market will go sideways or be slightly down because mars in cancer squares the libra "stellium" (planet cluster) meaning more knee jerk FUDing + Uranus is retrograde so flash dips are likely. BUT:
Venus in Scorpio "trines" saturn (trine=120 degree apart) so institutional money will quickly buy the dip, and pump rumors abound.
>Rest of Oct.
Volitile line-go-up due to full moon in Aries on oct 17, means frenzy of "buy the dip".

I think the smartest thing one can do right now is accumulate cash. You can't short because this clown market goes up for no reason and you can't go long because there could be a giant crash at any moment, so best to stay on the sidelines for now.

Unless you think the market is going to giga crash 50% you've already missed out on like 20% YTD gains. Sitting in cash is stoopid.
