>The ISM US Manufacturing PMI fell to 48.7 in October 2025 from 49.1 in September, below market forecasts of 49.5, indicating an eighth consecutive month of contraction in the manufacturing sector. Production shrank (48.2 vs 51) and further contractions were also seen in new orders (49.4 vs 48.9), inventories (45.8 vs 47.7) and backlog of orders (47.9 vs 46.2).

It absolutely will not:
1. They already blew their load last month with all the news. There's probably not much more to say in the earnings call.
2. Reactions to earnings are usually irrational, and it's not as if AMD is oversold like AMZN was.
3. NVDA earnings will inevitably murder it. Good news for NVDA will kill AMD because of the increased competition. Bad news for NVDA will also likely kill AMD because the sectors are linked. Again, people are retarded about earnings.

It's all so clear now. I should have put all my money into CRCL in June and then flipped into Nvidia. And I shouldn't have bought 1500 dollars of warhammer models while putting it on my 0% apr card and not paying. and I should have taken that weekend job that was paying me 1600 bucks but i had to drive 4 hours to do it. and I should have paid that debt. It's all so obvious in hindsight.

This morning while driving to work a thought crossed my mind that I am saving and investing such a huge chunk of my income and putting it into the market at a time when everything screams bubble and a lost decade ahead.
I'm 30 years away from retirement, and a lost decade would really help me accumulate for the future, but I might be throwing money into a bottomless pit until it pops.

How does one come back from this? Realistically there are people that bought at 35-40 as well
>>
Here's the setup that grok and I worked out
>20k buy-in when market drops by at least 40%, per 1990+ data with 2002 and 2008 crashes
>deposit entire paycheck into account
>split all income 60/40 VTI/VTEAX, reinvestment uses same split
>PLOC making interest-only payments for living expenses assuming 6% interest
General back testing indicates that a 2009 start would give a full living wage by 2019, and that passive income would grow further the longer I worked after 10 years. A larger jumpstart of capital would do even better, so I'll keep my normal investing strategy until I see an opportunity

The latest data from Cotality shows national home values rose 1.1 per cent over the month of October, and 6.1 per cent over the year.

All capital cities saw rises, with auctions over spring hitting records as investors and first home buyers tried to outbid each other.

a negative outlook is a good way to guard against disappointment. if you don't expect much you can't really be let down. it has it's uses sometimes. but that's not the way you should invest, not the way to get the best in life. you have to make stretch goals, you have to want better for yourself, believe you can do it. good things do happen to you, there are such things as positive surprises, people do live happily ever after.

OpenAI and Nvidia start every week with a few stock pump and dump announcements. Today it's OpenAI/Amazon.
The amounts in most of these deals are so high and the goals are usually so unrealistic that we have to assume most of this stuff won't be implemented. It's just to pump the stock.
The market is bound to get tired of these some time soon, but OpenAI wants an IPO, so we have to assume they'll all try to keep it going for at least another year or so.
