Another 5 ounces acquiredI'm just gonna keep acquiring silverJust won't stopCan't stop
Inaugural pile post for thread
Canadian here, bought 22.50 face of 80% Canadian junk at a antique shop. 20% under spot, cash deal, no taxes.Always check antique shops, they buy old furniture and end up finding all sorts of old loose coins.
I come seeking adviceI am at 500 oz of silver. Two 100 oz bars, the vast majority of the rest is in 1oz rounds of various designs. What should I get next? Im thinking a couple bags of 90% coins, mercs, franklins etc, or some gold. I'm not sure why, but it doesnt feel good buying 1/10 of an oz of something and I cant afford to buy a full oz in one go. Does Gold have that same amazing feel when you hold it as silver does? Any advice on where to go next with my stack would be greatly appreciated.Heres to 1000 ozs, wagmi
>>61286946buy some roosters
>>61286946Ignore all the fud on junk silver, 90% u.s constitutional or even 80% canadian junk are good options. Its divisible silver, recognizable, and ease of use for barter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_Bby9QKHHY>>61286912very
Does circulation lower the silver content of 90% junk? I have a $100 fv and putting similar stacks of Rosevelt/Mercs and JFKs/Franklins side by side is a little concerning.
>>6128694690% junk silver so you can be a stacker but also a coin collector. Doesn't matter what as long as it's 90%, I got dimes and liked them, and then I got quarters and liked them, and then I got halves and liked them. I even got modern proof coins (still 90% for the right years) in a bag of junk quarters, and those were also neat. Proofs at spot if you get lucky and are just given them, which really does matter for silver because they're so shiny it's as reflective as a mirror.Anyways, I wouldn't touch cringe gold. Respect the GSR, No point buying it when it's at a bad ratio and you can get a better amount of silver with your fiat.
>>61286939Nice:)
>>61286946Yes you need 20 Franc gold gogo
>>61286981absolutely dimes/mercs are the worsthalf dollars have the most silver content>>61286982i have a little bit of 90%its more of a hedge for trading in a post apocalyptic scenariootherwise, i just buy 999the only thing cringe is your attitude about goldits a long term assetsilver is a short term play you dimp when the happening occurs >>61286996nice cock

>>61287001I wonder why dimes show more percentage wear on average? Is it because they're smaller and make more movement in a pocket than a larger coin does?
I'm tempted to spend 6 grand worth from my meager 10k savings on getting more silver. Should I go for it?t. 45 ounce stacklet
>>61287001>It's a long term assetYou still have to respect the GSR. You can buy gold, but only when the GSR is at a decently low level and not some crazy high above 70 number. I have no intention of buying cringe gold when the GSR is like 80 or 90. Even if it's a "long term play" you don't buy it at a bad time on purpose, and we have this little ratio that shows you when a bad time is.
>>61287018100toz silver and 1toz gold is the minimum "just barely made it" stack
>>61287016Square root law. Double the width, 8x the weight but only 4x the surface area. And also less movement, partially because larger denominations sit around and are used for smaller purchases less, but people rapidly spend small denominations for daily purchases and to make change.
>>61286986Thanks fren>>61287009Are you fucking retarded?

>>61286981It does. However when you stack them next to each other its kind of exaggerated since its the rim of the coin that typically wears down the height of them when stacked side by side. Unless the coin is a slick, the silver weight is usually pretty close with minimal loss.
>2025>not owning physical gold and silverare you retarded
thank you for the advice frensthink Ill dabble in some 90% franklins, but other wise just keep stacking .999. Still on the fence about gold despite how beautiful it looks.Im looking forward to posting my stack at the next 100 ozmay abundant ammo, well proportioned women and healthy soil be had by you all
>>61287035The GSR has always worked and the number we're at is historically high, we saw a good gold deal at 70 GSR 4 years ago, and it stayed there for 6 months. It's historically way lower.
>>61287018Further unaskedfor infoI'd get either 3 1/2 oz AGE'sOr 1 1/2 os AGE, 1 10 Dollar Liberty Head and 1 10 Dollar Indian HeadYou now have a stack if about 1.5 oz gold and can save for the next 1/2 oz or add smaller pieces
>>61287016Mercs have more wear since they're older and saw heavy use during its years. Lots of things back then cost in the 5-25 cent range. Easily done with small change.
>>61287055Thank you:)
>>61286982>I wouldn’t touch cringe goldI keep going back and forth. Really tempted to slurp another ounce now. Have 5.5 ounces of gold. Got 110k in high yield savings then 150 in business checking. I just bought my first roll of American eagles to reach 300 ounces. Half my stack is 90% junk then the other half buffalo rounds and 10 oz bars. Plans been investing anything over 100k HYSA and saving for down payment but I’m just not going to do a jew mortgage bros. Gotta buy a 4Runner/tundra so that’ll be 30k cash but ready to slurp and invest more now
>>61287030I'm not too interested in gold due to the extremely high cost per ounce. I might get one if I can get an apartheid era Krugerrand near spot.>>61287035I have other accounts, at the very least I don't have to worry too much about expenses
>>61287088Ok:)
perhaps a strange place to ask, but I'm anon so fuck itAnyone have anything to say on trying not to be butthurt when some anons are doing so much better financially than you? I do my best not to let it get to me, I work hard and dont indulge in the consumerism and hedonism. I'm proud of what I've accomplished and how far I've come; Im working as hard as I can to buy a plot of land and escape the (((FIAT))) system, but there is often a small little coal of resentment deep inside when I hear people throwing around numbers that would change my life. I'd rather not have that feeling, its not a good one.thank you for reading my blogpost
>>61287105That’s weird. Focus on yourself. I’d rather be poor and on the street than sell my soul for any material wealth. My whole investing purpose is to obtain enough to fuck off and exit the system just like you
>>61287082I really was emotionally driven to buy some gold, then I remembered the ratio and that I'm not an emotional investor or planner.Really I'd only touch gold if it's pre-33 stuff you got near spot, because some of the premiums are crazy low now with the recent price increases. Discount numismatics are everywhere and in the right places premiums in general are nonexistent. That's the one upside I can see of buying gold in this market, the price in general is so high it's eaten the premiums on some previously numismatic stuff.

None of you will believe me and that’s okay, but I must regale my loot from today. A local senior community holds a weekend where they sell their extra belongings and baked goods and whatnot. My dad and I came across a table selling world coins - any denomination - 8 coins for $1. Long story short, we ended up walking away with about a combined 10 ounces of Canadian and British (50% barf) silver coinage. We both picked through troughs of dirty coins and both found some other nice treasures. It does incur a unique melancholy to know that I will likely never be able to buy one Canadian 80% quarter for twelve and a half cents ever again for the rest of my life. Blessings to you all.
>>61287714That's great fren, congrats! Nothing feels better than making crazy good deals, it's better than sex even. And you are setting the bar pretty high with .10c/oz lol.>None of you will believe me and that’s okaywhy would you think that? Good deals are out there, if some anons don't believe it, it's either because they feel jelly and/or to subconsciously cope ("no it can't be! i paid in full, so must anon!").That's why i love silver so much more than gold, it's very difficult to find good deals with gold because there is so many eyes on it everywhere, but silver still is under the radar (a bit less since we broke ATH) enough to allow nice slurp opportunities.

>>61287738>>61287738Ooh beautiful franc you have there. Even I hardly believe that it happened haha, but I guess the hours spent autistically studying when European countries/colonies debased their currency has finally paid off in dividends. Exactly what you describe - tons of people were fishing through the costume jewelry while only a couple children and a guy in a news boy cap were searching the coins (albeit for reasons different than mine). It is a little bit disheartening that these people can’t spare the time of day to see if their coins could’ve been passed down to their family instead. I doubt all of the coins came from the same person, but to just not care about ~$500 is incomprehensible to me.Some specifics of what I grabbed:-~2.5ozt in British 50%-~.5ozt in Swiss Francs-4 Munchin Olympics games 10 mark (~1.2ozt)-~.6ozt Mexican 1952 Hidalgo cinco peso-a tiny amount of silver, but a handful of 18** South American coinage (all silver)-~2.5ozt in Canadian 80%-a cool South African 6 pence from 1896 (didn’t even know they were a country by that point)-picrel is the 2000 dinar Iran (I think it’s actually Egyptian but I’m not certain). I’m torn between putting it in my dad’s stocking for Christmas or selling it for ~$50 on eBay. I’m leaning towards giving it to himEasiest ~7ozt of my life
>>61287860That's really great, happy for you fren.ps : it's 100% Iran; but you gonna be stuck with it because ebay's algos are flagging anything coming from Iran and Cuba and auto-delete your listings (same is true for others platforms, total embargo). Here a 5000 dinars i'm stuck with for example kek.
>>61287892
>>61287105Use it to start a fire in yourself and try to do better. It's inevitable to hit plateaus, you burn out working so much overtime, that overtime makes increasingly less money with each passing day, for a period I was working OT at a high volume while salary getting nothing in return, you can only rise though positions so quickly. Only once reaching these plateau and burnout do I feel at ease, like being wasted from a workout I've reached something like a max and can go no further for the moment. We live in a demanding economic system that is in its death throes. Love of money is separate from need for survival. Those here saying to ignore physical wealth would not hesitate to have a dragons hoard of shiny rocks should the opportunity arise. You may not need a new car but cash, for the time being anyway, and other forms of wealth are and will remain means of force projection in a dying world if used correctly. I don't want to fall into cycles of consumerism, I want to be able to provide enough capital into such a world that I can change it as I see fit. In the reflection of gold and silver are the fall and rise of empires. Specie and wealth are not enough in themselves to make it so to speak in the coming cycle but you're going to want some. You likely won't get the sort of wealth someone early to BTC got by working harder or buying shiny rocks but remember there are two ways to get rich. One is by acquiring additional wealth and outpacing your peers, the other is by staying financially alive even if just barely while most of your peers go broke and destitute. This second path is likely available to you regardless of your intentions. If banks bail in or go bust, if the dollar hyper inflates and the stock market is cleansed from a its lies and goes stagnant a decade; and during such time you have a modest stack of silver and gold you could be considered to be incredibly early.
>>61287892>>61287909Fancy pieces in here tonight. Maybe my confusion is from listings on eBay have been categorized as Egyptian to get around the embargo?
>>61287968Possibly, you can't have the name of the country or any iranian city/province in the title nor the description.Even playing around those i got a listing deleted, so i wonder if they also scan google lens on the listings (or maybe a report from another user most likely).

>>61288002american history x yotsuba
>>61287178Its so popular because it has in its various forms the distinct look of money, something actually designed from the ground up to be money. There is nothing wrong with rounds with animals, wieners or whatever dumb bullshit on it but from the broad appeal a trade good should have, most get aesthetics wrong or not quite as right as Asahi and some other refiners that inevitably end up being priced accordingly. Empires were able to navigate this surprising well putting some man with a mustache or woman with an incredibly thick neck on their gold coins so that we would know even as foreigners centuries later but now those empires are gone, men no longer have mustaches and the women's necks aren't thick just fat. Everyone wants something appropriate of pouring out of a burlap bag on to a table for buying something illegal and you cannot do that with wieners
>>61288028I can’t believe what a scam 90% junk is. I just went to sell the equivalent of 21.5 ounces of silver and I got $780. So I could only get like 16 ounces of silver back (rounds), and would have been even less for quality silver. I’m slowly siphoning out of it and thankfully I don’t have a lot of it, but it’s going to be funny when Millenials in their 50’s who have $1,000+ Face value who are probably going to get half of what I just got at best when shit really starts getting real.

I was an NFT and crypto buyer and spent 30k on chains and shitcoins. Yesterday I just sold everything I had for only 1k, and bought silver. I am also an unpaid federal worker. I could have used that money to buy food, but ultimately decided not to. The truth is I knew from the beginning that I should have bought silver but my coworkers kept hyping me up and only later did I realize they didn't even own any crypto or NFT. So I guess this is a cautionary tale to not be a fuckup. I'm sure there will be a lot more people like me in the next few years. If I wasn't able to make around 80 dollars a day tutoring people I don't know what I would do. >>61290123I bought those all at once. But plenty of times I've ordered just a single ounce here and there.
>>61289820Correct, they seethe because buying shiny rocks removed leverage and liquidity from their loans and money games. You can put $1000 in your bank, that goes out and gets loaned and spent on other things that drive up prices and makes other rich, or you can buy some metal, that nobody is making loans and and inflating the system even higher. I enjoy taking the power from my bank account and selling my 401k's years ago for shiny rocks. My money is not part of the fiat bubble making machine of usuary. Feels good owning something and being happy. If there will be no more tariffs... then it is more likely that Trump will need to end the Federal Reserve and restart a gold standard to compete with BRICS. I don't want to worry about cyber attacks in certain areas stopping people from cashing out of digital assets while others get all the profits. Fun times ahead.

Has anyone done a lot of research on home safes and used them? What do I need to know?
>>6129054199% are horse shit, sheet metal and a chinese computer chip for the lockIm gonna weld my own one of these days
>>61290541The best protection for metals is secrecy. Locking up your metals in a massive safe won't protect them when someone takes a pair of pliers to your balls. The best safe is one that is bolted to the ground and too heavy to carry. Small lockboxes can just be picked up and carried off. having multiple hiding places could be useful as well in the event someone finds/takes a small portion you won't lose it all.
>>61290541>home safeNot a lot of research, but I've heard most hotel size safes usually get stolen as a whole instead of being opened on the spot. So it's mostly just a matter of putting it at a hard to reach spot (back corner of a cupboard) and bolting it to the wall. So unless you need a fridge sized safe, 50 bucks for a small one might do the job. After all, any lock can be picked/broken into so opsec is actually most important in my opinion. Also, living in a safe area where there aren't that many burglaries certainly helps too.Happy stacking!

>>61290753>So why did the french put a chicken on their coinsThe French put a rooster on their coins due to a historical pun where the Latin word "gallus" means both "rooster" and "Gaul" (the ancient name for France). This connection, initially used by the Romans to mock the Gauls, was later embraced as a symbol of national identity and courage by French kings and revolutionaries. The rooster also became a symbol of vigilance, hard work, and revolution, appearing on coins after the French Revolution

I was an NFT and crypto buyer and spent 30k on chains and shitcoins. Yesterday I just sold everything I had for only 1k, and bought silver. I am also an unpaid federal worker my pay reflecting the value i add . I could have used that money to buy food, but ultimately decided not to because im obese. The truth is I knew from the beginning that I should have bought silver having watched 13 Peter Schiff videos but my coworkers kept hyping me up and only later did I realize they didn't even own any crypto or NFT. So I guess this is a cautionary tale to not be a fuckup like me. I'm sure there will be a lot more people like me in the next few years. If I wasn't able to make around 80 dollars a day tutoring people who were failed by the public school system like me, I don't know what I would do. I also was trying to sell my small ass home in desperation but with only a few days left the buyers backed out. If this government shutdown doesn't end I may actually have to sell some of my silver for 54% of what i paid for it last week which really sucks. Just keep me in prayers because I will fall for every scam and self destruct.

Right now with good news money is available, and it will go into some kind of asset be it stock, crypto, gold, or silver.Everything going up means generally more money is now being used and not held back because of bullshit reason number 32,452.
