Generally bullish activity market-wide has caused the price of everything to pump, or it should have at least.
The dip actually was just a dip at the end of the day, this isn't specific action but instead just the end of a dip. Stimmy talk doesn't help, but I don't think it was any particular action that caused this, what you saw was literally just a correction that happens before another pump.

Silver wasn't really leading the charge, it was an "everything mooning" monday. Guess the announcing of the end of gubment shutdown (thus budget approval, thus more deficit spendings) sent a signal of imminent money printing so assets all over the board shot up.

During the Manhattan Project they needed to borrow literal tons of silver from the Treasury to use with their research. Not sure if much of it was used for the actual bombs but it clearly helped with their scientific method to have THAT much silver to borrow

Military components usually are triple circuited to prevent any failure, but we are talking about 2 microns thick layering of electroplating, it doesn't amount to much anyway compared to civilian electronics, it's all about scale.
Plus war as a whole isn't a bullish scenario, i want to see silver flourish in an era of peace and scientific development (even tho sadly it often make big leaps during war times), i don't want to gain from deaths.

>Not sure if much of it was used for the actual bombs
It was mostly used as control rods to prevent the fission of nuclear fuel, plus also as alternative to copper, because during WW2 copper was critical for shells of all kinds, and we needed enormous amounts of it, so silver was used to replace it in a lot of civilian applications (thus the war nickel for example).
The logic here was that even if it was more expensive, at least the silver used at home could be recovered post-war, but not the copper sent in Europe to blow up the axis.

The best protection for metals is not buying them. Locking up your metals in a massive safe won't protect them when someone takes a pair of pliers to your balls.
The best safe is one that is bolted to the ground and too heavy to carry aka an etf. Small lockboxes can just be picked up and carried off. having multiple etfs could be useful as well in the event someone finds/takes a small portion you won't lose it all.

If you're planning to resell eventually, that's a bad product for you. You want a tight bid-ask spread. A tiny, idiosyncratic round like that is going to have a wide spread.

You know those packaged 1-gram gold bars like picrel? Those typically have very wide bid-ask spreads (like 30%), so they're terrible for profitable investing. Why do they exist at all, then? Because the price is low enough that they work as gifts. Their job is to be symbolic gifts, not profitable investments.

This 1/200-troy-ounce round probably has an even wider spread than 1-gram bars.

The retail gold products with the tightest spreads are the popular bullion coins (official government money) like 1-troy-ounce American Gold Eagles and 1-troy-ounce Krugerrands.

I was an NFT and crypto buyer and spent 30k on chains and shitcoins. Yesterday I just sold everything I had for only 1k, and bought silver. I am also an unpaid federal worker my pay reflecting the value i add . I could have used that money to buy food, but ultimately decided not to because im obese. The truth is I knew from the beginning that I should have bought silver having watched 13 Peter Schiff videos but my coworkers kept hyping me up and only later did I realize they didn't even own any crypto or NFT. So I guess this is a cautionary tale to not be a fuckup like me. I'm sure there will be a lot more people like me in the next few years. If I wasn't able to make around 80 dollars a day tutoring people who were failed by the public school system like me, I don't know what I would do. I also was trying to sell my small ass home in desperation but with only a few days left the buyers backed out. If this government shutdown doesn't end I may actually have to sell some of my silver for 54% of what i paid for it last week which really sucks. Just keep me in prayers because I will fall for every scam and self destruct.

Silver swindlers will continue to dump at the peaks for as long as they can get away with it.
You will only get busted when they sell a high and it keeps going lower.
You're leveraging beyond leverage with their game they play. dealing in hudreds of dollars probably, of borrowed leveraged money.
Your game only works if it rises after they sell.
eventually the natural price discovery will break through this market manipulation and you will be jumping off buildings again like the good ol' days

It should be IMO. Silver is money, and it's stupid to use money in wiring and batteries. Everyone thinks monetary value is derived from usefulness. But real money's #1 purpose should just be to be money. Gold and BTC aren't as valuable as they are because they're useful for other things. They only have ONE purpose - to store value. It's military contractors and technocrats that want silver to be devalued to use in their weapons and systems of mass control. Silver belongs in the hands of the people for the sake of a free market.

I also though those packaged gold bars with the code maintained their value through time, no?

It should be IMO. Silver isnt money. Everyone thinks monetary value is derived from usefulness. But real money's #1 purpose should just be to be money. Gold and BTC are more valuable as they are because they're useful for other things. It's Big Silver that want silver to be overvalued and sold to incels as systems of mass control. $$$$ belongs in the hands of the people for the sake of a free market.

but then you'd have to be trading with a person who is able to access the internet, which means they will be punished for interacting with you

also you need a way to store and keep whatever you get in return. if it's land, you need to be able to pay taxes on it have it otherwise exempt from forfeiture. you'd also need a way of paying for any utilities

Money was the single greatest economic invention in human history, even greater than division of labor. It makes up half of virtually every human to human economic transaction on the planet forever. So the usefulness of gold and silver for various things such as electronics becomes irrelevant when compared to their value as money. Being good for money is literally as useful as anything can be.

When land is being bought and sold in silver and gold routinely, THAT is the time to exchange stack for land. Right now, the price of land relative to PMs is horribly skewed by fiat credit money. When the smoke clears after the debt bubble pops, THEN you will get your money's worth buying land with PMs. For now, the smart move is to exchange banker cum rags for precious metal and hold it.

>Pandorum (2009)

My bad.

You're right, it's certainly not the greatest B-movie ever. A lot of the Dennis Quaid scenes are very cringe. They also tried to push something like a "melting pot" of survivors, which felt really forced. I like the concept, though the execution is pretty hackneyed. In better hands, it would've been a great movie. The thing I did like about it is that the makers still swung for the fences even with limited talent. Which I can appreciate. I categorize it as a good "one time watch" sort of movie.

I'm into film making and film history, so maybe I have different reasons for liking or disliking a movie. For example, I have a huge soft spot for Alien 3 (1993) even though it's objectively a terrible movie. Pandorum is a little like that, in my view, because there's ambition with mostly mediocre execution. Though you can still see the potential of what it could've been. There were a couple cool scenes and sequences. It's like they focused on things that just weren't worth it while ignoring the elements that made the concept so interesting in the first place. It's like a multi-million dollar example of how to let a great idea deflate. If anything, I think it warrants a future remake with real talent behind it. Take out the cringe Dennis Quaid stuff, drop the leaning into "muh amnesia" line, make the protagonist clear, give him an actual character arc, and you basically have a pretty neat concept ready to go.

Well, that's just my take on it, anyway. I still think it's good for a one-time view late at night when there's nothing else on and you just want to watch some spooky stuff.

No, they are tax free until you withdraw, so you get to avoid taxes for 40 years , so this moron decided to withdraw early and paid income taxes and penalties now of 50% rather than taxes in 40 years at 20%,,,,rookie move

Why do you happily give them 20% premiums?
>>
>>61301281
There is always an early withdrawal penalty, with some exceptions (buying a home for example)
Normal 401k contributions are tax free, but taxed on withdrawal as income
Roth 401k contributions are taxed today, with no taxes on withdrawal (returns are untaxed)

The main benefit of a 401k beside company company match is paying 0% income tax now on wages, you defer that for decades, ideally until you are in a lower tax bracket, paying 50% today vs. 0% in 30 years is insane blunder

They're pretty good when it comes to looking up sold comps on graded coins when you cant find any of on ebay so theres that.

Do you need the fiat? Maybe offer a trade, like silver for gold. If he's looking for your eagles, trade in your favor slightly saying you will trade 25oz of eagles for 28oz of maples, or something like that if you wanna keep silver.

I don't think he'll go for it though

Should I crack this slab?

I got this from Bradford Exchange back in 2021, when they would sell you the first eagle well below spot, then entice you to complete the full collection to 1985 while ripping you off.

I have no intention of completing the full "collection"

Bradford & Littleton are still in business, and probably making more money than ever off Boomers.

Nobody knows, the lowest expectation is that 50k will be worth the new 50k of the next monetary system, more likely it could play out that it becomes the new hundreds of thousands or even make you the new millionaire.
>>
>>61302468
The real question is if the current system makes it.
If inflation stays steady and a sneaky ww3/civil war 2 or AI bubble pop doesn't fubar everything. Then it will just slowly double and maybe triple over 5-10 years.

However. If things fuck up. You have the only true buying power around.

Even if the USA tries to issue a new currency after the dollar collapse, it will never again be the reserve currency or trade currency of the world. It will probably not even work domestically under threat of force because American business will need a currency they can use for international trade and that is not going to be an American CBDC. Hard to say what exactly will be the new international currency or, more likely, currencies. But they will almost certainly be backed by commodities because nobody can be trusted to issue fiat. And the only commodities that really work for that are gold and silver. The remonetization of PMs is almost a given at this point. The remaining questions are when and who will be first to issue a PM-backed trade currency? My guess is China followed quickly by the USA. Maybe Germany.

If there’s a panic, it is within possibility the general public will accept a “solution”. I have very little faith in my fellow citizens, maybe you’re giving too much credit (no pun intended honk honk).

I think there’s a law of economics which functions like gravity. Print fiat and it collapsed and a compelled digital currency will have the same issue in eventuality. Maybe spending any money outside of it will be illegal relegating us to a black market.

Its actually what the jewish banking families have in their long term planning of this era, If any of you have watched Jim Sinclairs (Mr Gold) interviews you'd know that they have planned that their will be 2 resets, the first one would be a "Man made reset" which is the one they are trying right now with digital currencies and that would only last a few months to a year, then there would be "Gods reset" back to gold which along with people like Jim Rickards are predicting to happen next year.

>Only going to double
>But bro, how much silver?
Realistically silver does a 2x-5x, so your 50k turns into 100-250k, and that's just liquid money you have right there.
You invest that into whatever else pops up. 250k invested in a market that just went through a crash and will recover actually is enough to retire. 100k, maybe.

It's not like you're restricted to making ONE trade for your whole life or anything, and precious metals historically perform well when everything is doing bad - meaning you can exchange your precious metals that are going up for assets that are going down, getting a massive trade multiplier right there.

The how isn't important.

God/Universe/Monad/Divine Consciousness, whatever you want to call it, has plans for this world, plans for us, and they do not include whatever insane kikery these "elites" have in store for the world. There will always be a unforseen Black Swan, or thrown wrench into the mechanism, that ultimately will be their undoing.

It happened with the Trucker Convoy ending the Covid lockdowns, it will happen again with their next Great Reset attempt. The House always wins and the house belongs to God.
