Pretty sure it's just the AI circular money bubble but done on a smaller scale between car rental companies, 2015 Chevy Malibu owners, and boomers that forgot they still had a subscription.
>Car rental companies get paid by Sirius to keep the radio in their car model SKU's they buy, increasing "subscriber count" and "listening hours"
>Second hand used cars sold from said rental companies still are listed as active users increasing "subscriber count" and "listening time"
>Boomers piss and shit themselves when they don't have radio or a station dedicated to the eagles. They don't use it, but are given free months of service whenever they try to cancel to increase "subscriber count" and "listening hours"
>Satellite radio has no proper attribution layer so all the "listening hours" are fudged and the "subscriber count" has been inflated by the above
>Advertisers then dump money in because the numbers seem good and their a fake department designed to light money on fire
Sirius can basically limp on indefinitely until advertisers stop dumping money into it.

News covering Burry's "pain" is basically supporting his thesis. And he just told everyone that he is still short and intends to stay that way.
They're scared. That's why they're running stories on his latest "pain" post.
Plus SoftBank just exited, as did Jeffries. Them exiting confirms that all of those analyst's price targets higher than 200 USD are bullshit.

Their NVDA stake was less than $6 billion. Even if OpenAI spends that immediately on new chip orders with NVDA, that is nowhere near enough to let NVDA meet the earnings expected of them next week, especially since NVDA has to keep spending money buying their own stock back at these high prices.
NVDA is fucked next week. Near term price target is 170-180, and price target for January is 110-120.
Seaport will see their $100 price target become a reality in spring.

He's required to disclose puts he buys. He is NOT required to disclose any stocks he shorted directly. Nobody knows what his current actual short position is.
>>61307260
>He's a broken clock.
He shared his homework this time. And people are reading it. He's right about about the depreciation, he's right about the circular spending being unsustainable, the only question is: did he get the timing right this time?
You should know: he shorted nvda QUIETLY last year. THIS time he's telling everyone.
And this time he waited until after an entire month of US government shutdown.
Yeah, he's right this time.

>On August 7, 2025, Bloomberg reported that the project had not started and no funds were raised to meet the project's initial $500 billion budget. Market uncertainty, American trade policy, and AI hardware valuations caused the delay

Boomers mostly and slightly millennials. It gives an advantage to whoever has a down payment which is not gen z. The houses will all be snatched up and gen z will be even more priced out. It should help with rent though. (More market competition). This idea sets up a really bad long term possibility on loan defaults too.

I work in a company most of you know. Thanks to Claude Code AI, we have stopped hiring juniors entirely and have significantly reduced mid-level headcount, and with the current rate of progression I strongly suspect they will soon go the way of the juniors as well. I have teams of AI agents comprised of different roles assigned to different models working on features in parallel. What used to take a month of work by a whole team now takes a senior week with Claude Code. That's literally 20x productivity at a fraction of the cost. We're not in a bubble. We're just hearing the cries of the incompetent being left behind by the new technological revolution. Every revolution has its sacrificial generation and they are it. The truth is that thanks to the exponential progress of technology we haven't even started yet. I wouldn't be surprised if the T in STEM simply does not exist anymore in 2 years max.

>normalfag here. someone told me that as a normalfag, the only stocks anyone should touch are sp500 and nasdaq for long term returns and never touch anything else. is this correct?
One of those technically true, but rarely actually practiced properly by those trying it for the most part. Normies will spend a few months putting money into an index, get a single day or week of -10% returns, sell everything at a loss, never go back in, and then cry a year later that assets are too high to get back in when they recover. Seen this happen to a lot of redditors and even that one guy here who kept posting his yearly returns around the negative 30% mark because they get shaken out easily by the market.
If you actually do follow it though and just buy every dip, never sell, and let the ETF rebalance for you it's practically impossible to actually lose money since you're never actually selling and just stacking.
I think the bigger problem that people have with it is that you really do need a good base level of cash and little debt if you don't want to be a scared little bitch when the markets correct.

Proud SXM subscriber here for the last 15 years or so, almost exclusively for the live sports and sports talk radio aspects. It's also nice for the car when we're in the middle of no signal zones, when I don't want to deal with Android Auto, etc.

SXM is some kind of ponzi scheme, I'm almost certain of it. I don't know how they're still in business. Howard Stern has been a massive negative for them over the last few years (decade even), they can't help but fuck with host lineups on Mad Dog Sports (probably their second biggest channel) and their solution is shit like "uh give a big contract to Call Her Daddy podcast!" You can message their AI chat bot on their website and negotiate your rate to like $5/month. It makes no sense at all. That said they do have a decent app, obviously a shit ton of music channels, etc. I'd hate to see it all collapse one day and have hope that once Howie is forced out they can refocus that money elsewhere. Not buying Barstool, Rogan at his very earliest, etc. are huge mistakes and I just don't know if they have it in them to make smart decisions, they're the definition of Buy High Sell Low

boomer talk, noone knows which companies are "good" anymore because all the valuations are pulled straight out of asshole.
By that logic all companies most companies should dump hard but its not going to happen either because there is still demand so we are stuck in the clown vibes based markets.
Exactly what is happening with AI - the technology is getting widely implemented and is in the early-mid stages of deployment but its still going to dump because there was no muh bubble for some time so we decided its now. (of course it only applies to mid-large caps because mega caps have cultist like fan groups so its going to pump forever like tsla and pltr

This is pasta, isn't it? However.
I work for IBM and as much as I emotionally dislike AI slop, my job very much depends on the AI meme bubble never popping. Probably the same can be said for many tech workers. The funny thing is that while we're all scared of AI taking our job, it's also curtains if the whole industry craters and the people who support it get laid off en masse. See, I need AI to be dumber than me but still profitable. That applies to a lot of workers for tech companies. And if I get fired, I'm literally going to switch careers to something else. Fuck the job market for tech. Maybe I'll get into the medical industry because that's the last job market in America.

That dang thing kept bugging me all morning. BIPP-BOPP-BIPP-BOPP. What in the Sam Hill? My grandson gave me this fancy-pants new-fangled eye pad thing and I swear it does more botherin' than good.
I finally squint at the screen, and it's one of them not-iffy-kay-shuns. Says my Cola stocks up a whole PERCENT. Just for today! A whole percent! Now that's just crazy. The company didn't suddenly sell a billion more Cokes between breakfast and lunch. This market is crazier than a road lizard in a hailstorm.
These kids with their Robin Hoods, tapping buttons on their phones... they're gonna get burned. Don't get piggy at the trough, Son, that's what my old broker Hank used to say. Back in my day, you'd call the man up. Have a real conversayshun. You'd think about things. Nowadays it's just whizz-bang, buy-sell-buy-sell faster than a jackrabbit. It's plumb loco.
And it made me think of what my Pa told me 'bout the great depresshun. He said when things don't make no sense, you get out. Well, these days don't make no sense.
So that's what I did. Sold it all. Every last share of everything. Yessir. Got it all safe and sound now in good ol' U.S. Savings Bonds. Good enough for the world wars, good enough for me. At least I know where my money is at night, and it ain't disappearing cause some computer decided to go tringle-trondlin.

From my ignorant ass grunt view a LARGE chunk of wealth in america is being sat on by a relatively small amount of people that really dont have any plans for it and if they do its to overpay for frivolous shit like spending a year living out of a 3000/night hotel. Which they are only able to do because so much time has been spent taking advantage of Americas image so theyve successfully negotiated lower pay for the location with immigrants and pump their own bags.
