MARKET SELL-OFF

>Wall Street traders propelled equities up ahead of Nvidia's earnings, which have prompted worries about whether its sales will justify billions of dollars spent on AI.

this thought doesn't make sense tho
Nvidia selling shit doesn't "cause" AI. It's the opposite.

Nah, think of it like this:
In this AI gold rush, nvidia is selling pickaxes. If the pickaxe seller is seeing a drop in sales expectations then maybe there isn't that much gold after all, and investors don't like the thought of that

It's sales don't "justify spending on AI". It'd be productivity boosts or money being made by the companies doing the capex, that's what would justify the spending.
My point is it's not a logical thought, it's ESL jargon.

I used one one time to make some spaghetti faster and I had no idea how to use a pressure cooker. I let the pressure build up to much and the little weight thing that sat on the pressure release hole flipped off and steam was coming out. I thought that meant it was done and I cracked the lid and that thing exploded like a bomb throwing boiling water with olive oil and spaghetti everywhere. I burned the hell out of my hand and realized those are nothing to play with and never used one again…

It's worded poorly, I agree, but the point is that if even the company who is selling the millions in chips to data centers isn't getting a return then who would? Nvidia is also returning quite a bit of money into AI so it's not like they're sitting on the incoming revenue either

I'll throw out the same one I've been throwing out: FNMA. When they finally make the move to take it public again, I expect it can hit around 40+ a share, if not 60, based on valuations given by various groups.
The major risks are them either getting stonewalled legally, them never getting around to it somehow (which seems unlikely, as they've been pushing for it heavily), or perhaps them allowing certain option/warrants to be exercised and heavily dilute the stock.
Actually I just checked and it at +13% day today, apparently because Bill Ackman apparently revealed a plan:
https://www.foxbusiness.com/video/6385304271112

I am currently at 12500 shares of FNMA @ 10.92 average.

I did the same thing. I did make huge money because the market was dumping ass for fear of how the fed was handling inflation. My issue was I stayed bearish while the fed was pivoting. I got my face torn off. I realized I needed to become a bull and stay a bull.
Even when the market is down, staying a bull is better, you just switch into dip buying bull instead of moon mission bull. You focus on keeping cash on hand, buying good dips, and focusing on cutting true stinky losers.
