Bullshit

coin dealers want you buying 150 year old rare US coins that they bought for pennies on the dollar when boomer bob died and left his coin collection to a bunch of idiots like you.

Coin merchants barely make any money selling bullion. Not enough to live on, not enough to stay in business. It's just not that profitable unless you have literally millions of buyers.

Just got back from Spain, picked up a few 80% silver 100 pesetas coins (15.2g pure silver per coin) with my boy Franco on them for souvenirs. I initially wasn't going to buy any after asking y'all earlier in the week due to the VAT but things worked out better than I expected, though I had to go to a few shops to find a decent deal. I ended up getting these for a little less than 1 euro over melt each. That's maybe not the best deal when junk in the US is at a negative premium, but for a souvenir I'm happy with it. Unlike the tourist trap shit like fridge magnets or Catalonian flag pins at least these will have some value in the future. Also turron are awesome

>Coin merchants barely make any money selling bullion

Lmao they can make $200-$300 when you sell your $1000 of garbage rocks ,,,,,another $200-$300 when they find the next sucker to buy them

>The average bid-ask spread on silver at a local coin shop can vary significantly, but it generally falls within a range where the buyer (dealer) offers between 50% and 95% of the spot price when selling silver, meaning the spread can represent a loss of 5% to 50% of the metal's value at the time of sale.
> For common junk silver coins, such as U.S. or Canadian silver coins with lower silver content, dealers typically offer around 80% to 90% of the melt value based on the silver content.
> However, this percentage can be lower if the shop is not interested in bulk or lower-purity items, as some dealers may undervalue coins to protect their own margins.

Nice anon, glad you were able to find a good deal. Besides them being low premium, I really like the Franco 100 Pesetas because the coins themselves are emblematic of Franco's success in restoring Spain's wealth after the Republicans had sent all of Spain's Gold to Moscow during the Civil War.
You should've looked for Baby Head Pesetas as well, though you might not have found them to be worthwhile since they tend to command more of a premium than the Francos and don't have much going for them beyond novelty.

Most people don't have metals to sell if they lost their job so you did better than almost everyone else when it comes to planning ahead.

I wouldn't worry about selling off, you can always start stacking again once you're stable. Maybe even faster than before if you get the right job. Most people earn more as they get older, so what you stacked up until now will probably seem small compared to what you can stack later in life.

"Under this sign they want to betray and sell you."

And "verraten" means more "trait", becauuse "betray" should be more meant as "betrügen", words get turned around during ages, meanings changed in writing. One has to compare the vocals to see. Once there was a proto world language "Theodisch" or "De Odischa Spracha", precedessor to "Altchochdeutsch", "Old Norse" etc. check "Erhard Landmann" Book+Articles about this. Or the old book "Die Ursprache".
>>
>>61456393
>what's the method for refining gold?
>melt gold with copper to reduce purity to about 1/3
>pour melted copper/gold alloy into water to make small beads
>dissolve the beads in nitric
>filter the residue
>melt the filtered residue with borax and a torch

you can also do an extra few steps by adding hydrochloric at 3:1 to fresh nitric and dissolving the gold before decanting and precipitating with urea and sodium metabisulfate to further purify the gold
>>
>>61455951
in diesem zeichen will man euch verraten und verkaufen

betrügen is more like deceive or cheat/scam
verraten means to betray mister internet linguist
>>
>>61456408
>you can also do an extra few steps by adding hydrochloric...
I don't usually do this unless the precipitate is contaminated with something that doesn't readily dissolve in nitric such as lead or platinum

most gold isn't contaminated with lead or platinum or other weird shit, so simple parting with copper or silver and separation with nitric works just fine.

I love the look and feel of old coins. Reminds me a few years back I bought a small hoard of these at a flea market for 12€ a piece. Just their melt value today is $40 even back then I got them under spot. I think the old man just wanted to get rid of them he wasn't a coin dealer he sold mostly furniture and trinkets.

Yes, I know. You are right. But I meant it in not nowdays terms. Actuall wordbooks have turned the words/meanings, their orgin, turned around. Easy to see is when you compare the different languages today with their previous versions. DE "schwimm" PL/Rus "plyn". DE "Könich" Rus "Knich". DE "Arzt" is Altchochdeutsch "Arzat, Lekkar" PL "Lekarz". DE "Bruch" (If you break a stone, the debriss falling from the crack is meant) has meaning changed in PL "Proch" (Powder). Check yourself. 40% Slawic lenguages is from Latin, some Mongolic, and rest ist still wery well present from the Theodisch. Check "Oskar Schade - Altdeutsches Woerterbuch" to see remenants of what I mean. Theodisch was before year 800- 1000. Also good: "Elmar Seebold - Chronologisches Wörterbuch des deutschen Wortschatzes - 8. Jahrhundert"

danke schoen, what if one's gold is in electronics scrap? basically it's un-removable from the circuit boards it's on.
>>
>>61456543
typically you macerate the scrap in a blender or tumbler, then melt the whole mess down in a bonfire that will probably kill birds in flight and get a person arrested if their neighbors smell it

then you just treat it the same as any other scrap.

Sadly I lost all my silver, gold and guns in a tragic boating accident but I've heard people who want to get rid of silver sometimes arrange what they call "cash deals" where they give their silver to other upstanding citizens for free and the other person gifts them pieces of paper with funny squiggles on them.

>>
>>61456570
>lmao that's what i was worried about.
if you stick to just ram pins and other exposed metal you can get it off with any oxidizer that will dissolve the copper underneath

but then you're missing all the gold in the boards. I've roasted off a few motherboards, they're difficult to burn because of the fire retardant in them. And after burning them I didn't get much gold out of it. Not enough for the work required keeping the fire hot.
>>
>>61456578
the methods aren't necessarily conflicting

there's about a hundred different ways to refine gold or silver. Some are much harder than others.

don't count on that forever, you randomly happened accross some helpful bros. just as you may happen accross employment outside.
try going for a walk, like walk to the "store" as you yanks call it, get a drink or a chocolate bar or something, make idle conversation;
>hey man, how you doing?
>me? not so good, i need a job, know anyone who might be hiring?
who knows what random encounter you may have and hey, always remember, you can get a job and then just quit if it's shit, you can look for another job while you have the shit job, move up the ladder so to speak.
and also I'd like to advise you to spend less time around the people you have in real life, if this is mroe helpful and nicer, i am willing to make an informed assumption that they're assholes. more time spent around them will not be good for you. go for walks, go see shit, a man can do that :)
i took a detour through a local park on a trip to the "store" recently, random guy says good morning to me, full eye contact, like he wanted to say more but i left it at "good morning" as i was sick at the time.
another example, i was on a job recently, it was kinda interesting so people would stop and look at what i was doing, and one guy who stopped happened to be the landlord for the properties near by, got his number and may be renting something off him in the future.

According to you like 3 cents worth,,,,lmao this ruins your narrative

>>

if billions of people throw away a tiny bit of gold or silver every year that's tons of gold and silver lost every year. It's not really gone, just mixed in with so much trash it's not worth recovering.

I shouldn't have to explain this to you man. Simple math.

Yes, the recycling process generates usable material but a part of what comes in is permanently lost as waste. This is what I was referring to.

Greek is also an dialect developed from Theodisch, before there was Oldgreek (Was wolrdlanguage like Englich today). Griechen = Frisen. Check out "Kyrie Eleisom" = "Herrie Erlösung". (Also check "Bunte Götter") Also Herro, Hero, Geroi means the same as is from same ancient language source. "... and the truth will set you free." ... Two, or more, tribes shared similar vocabulary because they came from on tribe previously. No, not means every language is oldgermanic (Altchochdeutsch, that was later, around 900) but all had the precedessor language Theodisch. Later the different dialects evolped from this. ... I am not a faggot, but it is not importent here what I might be or not here. ... Question; buy silver in DE one got to pay 19%? tax, or more, but what is if one want to sell, then also 19% tax await? I newer sell yet. But I buy at 16 EUR, or 22 EUR too, so even if taxed I would made a profit for free at actuall prices.

It's also a /biz/ meme as of McAfee.
Basically, he had all of his money in crypto and was open about it.
The IRS got pissed and went after him then he sunk his own yacht and claimed that he lost everything in that accident and fled to Spain.
The IRS went there and suicided him, which was very strange because he was always saying that he would never kill himself for years (and kept saying that until he died) and that the IRS would be the ones to kill him and pass that as a suicide.
His death even warranted some threads on /biz/ because even if you hate crypto, you have to respect the hatred he had for the IRS and taxes in general.

the vacuum flask was nicely done. I bought one years ago but they figured it out with a fucking car A/C vacuum pump. That was funny

then synthesizing potassium cyanide from ferrocyanide. I've done that before with sodium cyanide, but I had no idea how dangerous it was when I did it

basically if you're ever breaking down sodium or potassium ferrocyanide to produce straight cyanide make sure you keep your solution mildly basic

if it becomes even slightly acidic the cyanide will leave the solution as hydrogen cyanide gas, which kills in a matter of seconds. One of the deadlier inorganic poisons a person can make.

Dissolves gold really nicely though

but then you precipitate with zinc and ADD FUCKING ACID to the sludge!? That's exactly how you die of cyanide poisoning. That was amazing to watch. I wouldn't try it for a pile of gold personally, but it was fun to watch.

Grab a hori hori knife. Cut a 6 inch circle, with the blade angled in so it's creates a cone facing down. The dirt will usually just pull out in one piece. You can use a pointer or your coil to determine if you lifted it out. I highly recommend a pointer for field digging. Takes a lot of the guessing and precision work out of the recovery.

Always fill your holes.

12 guys working 16hrs straight for a werk is 1,344 man hours. If they got $300, that works out to $0.22/hr total, or $0.018 (1.8 cents) per hour per man. That's gross. It doesn't include defuctions for overhead.

I always liked the Athenian Owl so ordered some before prices became completely ridiculous
I payed a big premium for those 60 Euros per coin around 20 % but it was worth it

I also ordered a 20 franc Napoleon but it hasn't arrived yet

Yes, called "Hellas", or Hellenen, "Die Hellen" means the bright ones, or fair skinned. Other orgin might be from "Hel" what is a place in space. ... So i not mind buy some "Nius Ows" siver coins a few years back for 22 EUR as I got room left under the 2000 EUR buy limit here. So when I buy 1oz gold, money was left to buy 2 or 4 1oz silver owl too. ... In DE you can buy up to for 2000 EUR, over that you have to show your ID Card which they do photocopy then in case Finanzamt would check. Not sure what exactly happen then or overall.

1 lb = 453.59 g = 14.58 ozt
Gold silver ratio about 72, it's worth roughly 1,050 ozt of silver right now. You'll probably be fine.

Most of us seem to prefer silver because we think the ratio will correct downwards.

>Most of us seem to prefer silver because we think the ratio will correct downwards.
define what you mean by that
I think silver is undervalued. and big things are coming in march. I'm gonna buy a lot of silver in jan & feb if it dips.
>>
>>61457927
That's a really nice looking coin. Is there going to be a cheaper non-proof version?
>>
>>61457968
You can buy the 1oz silver or 2oz silver version but they're both like double the price of spot so it's a bit of a rip
>>
>>61457960
Gold Silver Ratio
Gold's nominal value divided by silver's nominal value.
To make a fraction smaller, lower the numerator or increase the denominator.
The ratio going lower would mean gold going down or, more likely, silver going up.

That is, they will become more closely valued to each other, so there's potential for real (not nominal) gains by holding the less valuable of the two. Is that clearer?
>>
>>61457907
are those numbers suppsed to be either or gold and silver or do they just stack one type of metal
>>
>>61458043
Do you not know what AU and AG are?
>>
>>61458066
Aurum and Argentum i had 5 years of latin in school
>>
>>61458043
Yes, stackers tend to have at least some of both metals in wildly varying ratios. The chart was made when the GSR was higher, so today multiply your gold ounces by 72 and add your silver, then use the Ag number.

>Is that clearer?

>>
>>61457978
Not fair. They need to do more regular gold and silver bullion versions of their fancier coins.
>>
>>61458066
>Do you not know what AU and AG are?
No. Unless you meant to type Au and Ag.
>>
>>61458043

Most stackers stack gold and silver, and a scant few also more niche metals like Rhodium, Palladium, Platinum and maybe even Osmium.

Some have exclusively silver or gold (for upside potential or ease of transport, for example).

Right now the GSR at about 72 is still comically high so your best bet is to get silver, and then maybe when the GSR drops further, arbitrage it and trade some silver in for gold.
>>
>>61458249
so to be a dragon you need 100 Oz of gold and 10000 Oz of silver?
>>
>>61458254
Or 7200 adjusted for current GSR ratio anyway
>>
>>61458254
Either 100ozt gold or 10,000 ozt silver,
or any combination of the two, using current GSR to convert between them.
>>
>>61458254

According to that chart, and assuming a GSR of 100, you'd need a mixture of 100 oz Au or 10,000 oz Ag.

This could also be, for example, 70 oz Au and 3,000 oz Ag, or 40 oz Au and 6,000 oz Ag, or just 100 oz Au, or 10,000 Ag or anywhere inbetween.

Essentially you want a certain amount of "GSR"s, where one ounce of gold is 1 GSR and one ounce of silver is (1 / GSR) GSR. If that makes sense.

Just relax, be polite and expect nothing.
But throw in a sentence to let her know you'd like something to happen. For example it's late but I wouldn't mind talking more, how about we make coffee at your place, or have another drink..
See how she reacts and if she likes you it'll happen.
Pro tip from a weirdo imo sex ot really for someone you try luster, and she trusts.
So if you trust her into your life and with your body when asking her for another drink, talk ir coffees later... add saying you trust her to take good care of you.
Hopefully this will help her trust you too.
