if you wanna dodge the (((free))) trade broker shortcomings check out Interactive Brokers and pay them to avoid PFOF
They're the only brokers that have that options afaik, but I saw some reddit post about another firm that offers no PFOF middleman

>It said I was marked a month ago
They give you a warning when you do your third day trade in 5 days. It's when you do your fourth that you get locked out for 90 days.
If you DO have more than 25k in the account then turn off the warnings and it won't do that to you.

I don't like the word retarded as an adjective, but most day traders strike me as being legitimately retarded.
Like, slow on the whole and then mentally retarded and in a couple specific faculties.

They approach day trading with the scientific method of an 8 year old and I'm barely exaggerating when I say that. Your introduction to how to trade stocks begins with an introduction to basic logic or basic critical thinking and somewhere mixed in with that is a bunch of terms like "volatility" and "risk adjustment" that they barely understand.

I take a great amount of solace in the idea that there's a way to reliably make money as long as these people exist and are also able to.

I do not believe that they know what a stock is. Nor that "trading" is not specific to a stock.

Please read my extremely flat tone and note that I'm not trying to be inflammatory and that I'm legitimately just being honest. The hardest part about learning how to trade has been listening to these people talk.

Quantum Computing Insider Here:

Google is going nowhere with their superconducting schema. They fired Anthony, the previous director of Quantum hardware, and promoted Julian. Julian is just a nerd he has no leadership potential. Senior Engineers at the company still can't put in to words what exactly the computer is useful for. The official word from Julian on the problem it can solve is "Random Circuit Sampling". Which is what it sounds like, the computer generates a random quantum circuit and can measure values on it a certain % of the time. "Quantum Supremacy" is what this means, the quantum computer can solve a problem (random quantum circuit sampling) better than a classical computer. Well no shit, it invented a quantum problem, it's not solving anything useful. The "error correction" just shows how much noise is built in to the whole bullshit that they need a seperate error correcting circuit running in parallel to fix all the errors from the noise. That's right, "quantum error correction" isn't using quantum computing to solve any errors that might exist in a chunk of code, a LLM, or anything useful, it just means correcting the errors native to the quantum computer. It's inventing a problem and solving it and calling it innovation. SAD.

On the other hand, Photonics is going through the fucking roof. Some would not even consider it quantum, but to be fair it really is. It uses photons instead of electrons, and delivers significant performance advantages for certain types of problems, specifically interconnects which are fundamental for any complex circuit. TSEM went up 3x this year, and they are dominating the US manufacturing of photonics chips. MRVL is innovating a tremendous amount and creating new devices testing different substrates etc.

Regarding the SQUIDs:
MRIs are already priced in obviously. Most people don't even realize MRIs were the first "quantum computer" and that they measure the spin of atoms in your body and correlate those values to different body materials to give a map of your internals. This is an actual useful version of superconducting quantum computing because SQUIDS are legitimate quantum sensors which can be a part of a profitable machine so long as they cover the cost of super-cooling. Thankfully new alloys have been smelted which can be superconducting at much higher temperatures, such that only liquid nitrogen is required which is 1000x cheaper than liquid helium.

Protein Discovery, Quantum Chemistry is the area I don't know much about, but I believe may actually be the most advanced. I need to re-watch the NVIDA town hall with all the quantum companies because there was one company building simulation software, which would fit well with the natural capabilities of quantum computing. If someone knows please chime in.

In short my view of the industry right now is that the companies trying to make a really "computier computer" are failing, while the ones making quantum sensors, tools, and machines will succeed.

I know a lot of people who lost money on weed stocks - seems there is too much taxes and regulations and its just cheaper to buy illegal weed so the profits of legit companies are not there.

B-but they will have AI, and free education, both if we invest more into OpenAI.

Think of the revenue that free education can provide. No no, not via ads.

First AI then internet access.
