Following on from the copper discussion last thread given the retard price of rounds/bars. Not wanting to fud people out of silver because if you are a stacklet you should still be buying. But I wonder about going to the local scrapyard and offering 10% or whatever you can haggle over melt price for some of the crackhead stolen copper they have?

Brother are you going to start up a copper works in your back yard? I get that silver is becoming expensive but coping by stacking copper is not the way to go.

Watching silver moon is surreal frens, I wish I'd stacked more dirt cheapies back when it was easy but have been diversifying with January 2027 and 2028 mining stock call options since the summer instead, so far so good but Shlomo will probably rug me before I decide to start banking delicious gains and force me back into stacking grandma's cheap sterling. I really wouldn't be surprised if the great rug prophesied by based schizos comes to pass but goddamn do i want that fat pile of paper gains to spend so I can keep HODLing all my silver forever.
>>
>>61472149
Those are cool anon. I’d like to have a collection of cubes like those tungsten ones but all across the periodic table of every metal that isn’t hazardous to have in a living space.

>>61472158
I imagine scrapyards know about these tricks?

>>61472158
I’d just like to have a big pile of copper while it’s cheap because I think silver is going to get way too expensive to use realistically and a shit metal will be needed which is where copper has been historically. Your average Chinese peasant never saw silver in his life and was trading copper alloy coins for everything. Not too far of a stretch to imagine this again. Like I say don’t want to fud stackers out of silver because is the play rn, just something for my personal interests.

australian 20 cent coins are made from cupronickel (75% copper, 25% nickel)
the price of copper is now $17.61 AUD per kg
the price of nickel is now $21.91 AUD per kg

a 20c coin weighs 11.3g (8.475g copper and 2.825g nickel)
this means it contains
8.475 x $0.01761 = $0.14924 of copper and
2.825g x $0.02191 = $0.06189 of nickel

totalling $0.2111405 of metal value, which is more than the face value

should i be stacking these while they are still in circulation?

Seems like a good idea on paper but I bet if you walk into an Australian bank and ask for a thousand 20cent coins they will just stare at you blankly then call the manager who says they can’t do that. Like bro in Australia the goyim slave desk jockeys are asking for kyc and what you are buying to pull out a few hundred bucks of paper garbage. There’s no chance anywhere in kangarooland has any significant amount of 20c coins on hand. I guess you could just use cash to buy stuff and keep the 20c coin change but you aren’t going to get many that way.

Maybe but check your local laws. In the US it is illegal to melt down coins for a profit. And separating copper from nickel is not easy to do in a small scale as it produces extremely toxic fumes.

Yes.
Aren't the 5 and 10 cent coins also made of cupronickel and proportionally sized to the 20s?

I had a thought that doesn't directly relate to silver, but it relates to the AI bubble, which relates to our precarious economic era, which relates to silver.

So, AI. It's good, it's gotten better quickly, and common sense dictates it will get even better soon. The logical outcome of the process is that you get a machine that essentially "thinks." In the strictest economic sense, an AI construct is simply equivalent to a very knowledgable and prompt human worker - it interprets information, and exports information.

The question is, is it worthwhile economically speaking? We know roughly the required input for a human worker - we can emprically calculate how much he needs to be paid, the cost of his benefits, housing and transportation, lost efficiency from time off, etc. It's not one strict round number, but we can generalize with average or median wages.

How does the AI "worker" compare? I'm not extremely well-read on the subject, but I've heard about how AI LLMs require large inputs of electricity, and therefore have shocking carbon footprints. They also require hardware, such as the many data centers being built, and those require both one-time and recurring costs and inputs. Can we empirically measure this? Is the efficiency likely to improve, i.e. lower electricity consumption? How much input is required for the LLM and the human worker to export roughly equivalent "labor?" Could the current bubble be built on the impending realization that AI automation, though impressive, is simply not "worth it?"

That's $1600 for the card and 450w per hour, and it can easily replace work performed by a group of PhDs, or a group of mid-level devs, you name it

of course it's economically viable. do you really think these high IQ kikes are putting all their chips on Pets.com? There's no AI bubble. AI is the real deal and if things are rolled out in a sensible manner, AI will usher in a new age of prosperity for the human race

The problem is, the metals are alloyed. You're not really going to find anyone who says "wow, melted coin alloy, I need that to make _____!"

Unless of course the AUD undergoes hyperinflation, in which case it might some day be worth separating the metals, but like the other anon said, you'd need to smuggle them out of your cunt or you'd probably get persecuted.

Old US pennies are a solid store of value since they're worth over 2 cents now and they're nearly pure copper. Just walk them over the border into Mexico and they'll buy them, no questions asked. But that's for here, and only if you saved a shitload of them.

Consdier that the pre-1982 US penny is 95% Cu and 5% Ni. That penny is now worth 3.4 cents melt. Even with that 2.4 ¢/penny profit, you need 413 pennies weighing 1.22 kg to make a $10 profit. Your 20¢ coin has only a 1.1 ¢/coin profit. you'd need like 909 coins to make a $10 (USD) profit. That's a lot of coins to lug around for a pittance of profit. You'd be better off collecting aluminum cans by the roadside to sell to a recycler.

The illegal PM smuggling trade has really kicked off again in Asia boys.
The Israelis monopolised it for many decades, 2 were arrested recently from HK smuggling gold into Japan in auto parts.
The route was roughly India/Sri Lanka > Thailand > Hong Kong > Japan.
Japan was always the end target country because of high prices and taxes and high demand for PMs.

There has to be some kind of mistake. I bought my American Silver Eagles because I was assured that it would be the only kind of silver that would sell, and that I would recoup my hefty premium because the new buyer would gladly pay it to have a genuine American Silver Eagle. Need some advice about guns. I never owned one before and I've become more pessimistic about the world as I get older. I’m debating between revolvers or compact 9mms. I like the pocket carry style guns for concealment / ease of use purposes and the 9mms seem to have an edge based on their capacity. At the same time, revolvers seem to be more than enough of a gun to serve its purposes of self defense and are seemingly more reliable(?).

Revolvers aren’t more reliable, that is a meme. The only case where a revolver is better, is if you anticipate being face to face with your attacker. Revolvers can be shoved into someone’s gut and discharged, where a semi gets put out of battery and can’t fire. I second this guy, get a Glock 19, or a PSA dagger clone (just a Glock 19 gen 3 with a lapsed patent) or a 43X/43x clone which has less rounds, but is slimmer and more concealable.

Adding to this. Don’t forget ammo for all, mags for the AR, you’ll probably want some kinda optic (I recommend an aimpoint pro), and an iwb holster for the Glock (I recommend a Tenicor or Milt Sparks for the swag factor). For the shotty, I recommend Federal FLITECONTROL 00 buckshot and Federal HST for the Glock.

Go for the compact 9 from a reliable brand like Ruger. Revolvers are old tech and not as reliable as you’d think.

The future is going to be the kind of place where everyone will want to carry something concealed to bet their life against.
>>
>>61473399
You want a 22lr revolver. Reliability is a factor, yes, but there are more important factors.

If you have to shoot some nigger in an alley and would rather not wait around to answer a bunch of questions, you don't want to be scrounging on the ground to find out where your shell casings are at 3am. 9mm makes a big bada boom when it goes off and every lookie-loo comes out of the woodwork. 22lr is a small enough noise that most people ignore it. If you buy subsonic ammo no one will even hear it. Finally, if this is your first gun, 22lr ammo is cheap as fuck. You can practice a lot. 9mm centerfire ammo will cost you an arm and a leg.
>>
>>61473565
There's one called the 'diamondback sidekick', which is 22lr but also comes with a 22wmr setup, AND is double action, so you don't have to cock it for every shot, you can just pull the trigger over and over. I have one and it's very nice. Sights are dogshit but that's not what we're looking for.

For any newbie I'd recommend a revolver or something with a dedicated safety, really specifically because newbies don't know what they're doing with guns and will shoot their eyes out. Hell, I am experienced and I had this springfield 9mm with no fucking safety on it and it made me really, really nervous.
My sidekick is ... OK. When I cycle it, there's a little play between the bullets and the frame, and the fucking casings can cause the cylinder to hang up, so it can lock up. What the fuck.
There are a number of really nice 380 auto compacts out there I guess I could recommend if one was looking for something with less kick. It's a more reliable caliber than 22lr and won't leave you stranded with dumb horseshit jams. At this point, though, I carry a 38 special 5 shot daily. Very compact, and not too hard to shoot. Couldn't believe how accurate it was at a good distance at the range, honestly.

>>61474156
I doubt we'll ever see a crash in silver again like we did in 2020 when silver tickled $12 per ounce. I think the moves are being made and the people sense the danger in 2025 in ways that didn't really matter like they did in 2008 and 2020. Lots of military positioning is going on in the world and we all know it happens for economic reasons. Sometimes trade negotiations happen at the end of a canon. I doubt it’ll be that bad post-BASEL III, but it depends on how badly the liquidity is needed. The economy is currently in a worse position than it was in 5 years ago.

If the credit market goes tits up then you could see some wild (but very short term) swings in both directions, but I personally wouldn’t wait for that kind of opportunity if I was on the fence, or worried about spending “too much” for something 5at is easily worth 10+ times what it’s currently selling for.

a couple of weeks later, here we are.

To expound, a cash settlement was paid by the shorts to the longs. Many suspect that it’s because COMEX didn’t actually have enough silver on hand to pay it, so the music is about to stop.

I’m honestly getting nervous how fast this is pumping. I have 300oz physical and I have 300oz SLV (kill me). I also have calls on GDX. My portfolio is pumping so hard.

The thing is I don’t have an exit strategy….i think the physical I will likely never sell but I may want to get out of my SLV position before it collapses as fraud. I don’t know what to do bros…. It’s basically mooning. I was so focused on accumulating that I never formulated an exit strategy.
>>
>>61474389

I found out today Thursday is super secret thing called a fixed spot price that only refineries have access to. It is legitimately like a Cabal to know about this price. Some guy knows the guy who knows a guy. Does anybody know how an average person could get access to this price. It would be very important Information because it’s what underlying transactions are based upon. Supposedly there’s a group in LMA who gets to decide the daily fixed price for gold and silver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same, I don't get the fear of "big brother" stealing our stacks away. This nation is nowhere near as patriotic for example, as it was during 1933, and even then it was shit-giggles for people to actually hand over their gold, hence the large influx of pre-33. PMs are eternal
>>
>>61474493
These guys have low iq slave nigger genetics. Theyre the kind of fags to actually voluntarily report shit to the IRS (lmao.) All these homosexuals keep saying “muh feds are gonna confiscate muh stack and tax it and sheit” yet have retirement accounts and crypto and all this fag shit in the computer as if shlomo couldnt hit a button and make that all disappear instantly. These people are just fucking retarded. Like imagi e holding 20k in slv while were watching silver moon and calls go up hundreds and thousands of percent. They just cant be helped.

Precious metals dealing is a cabal. Only a handful of people have access to private sales from the Mint who then distribute to a larger network which spreads out more and more locally. Refineries offering special prices would probably imply industrial customers looking to move large quantities. The silver cabal does have to maximize the use of silver so they still want it to get to where it needs to go (silver used in products can be leveraged up to make jobs, taxes, profits etc). I wouldn't be surprised if refineries would refuse to sell to you if you didn't already have a working relationship with them already. LCS owners will routinely drive to refineries to sell unwanted or used metal/jewelry if they need liquidity or want to unload unsalable metal. My hunch would be the fixed spot price is just taking into account things like volatility in the market in order to remove the annoyance of a constantly updating price movement. They list a price for the day and that's what it is.

Taxes? Where we're going we don't need taxes.

When its time to sell, there won't be any taxes. In a hyperinflationary environment you can sell in January and by the time you pay taxes a year later you will owe only a pittance in fiat. This ends with remonitization of PMs.
>>
Whats the current floor for gold?
Its not normal for it to pump this much without some sort of pullback, maybe 4150 in a few days?

I have a theory about gold, I believe gold has already helped silvers momentum up, silver will peak up, and as it does it will take gold with it and there will also be a huge jump in gold. Gold is being suppressed right now, I suspect by the US, to acquire as much as they can quietly for revaluation in the future
