I believe the santa rally started today. I was bearish all of November, missed the thanksgiving recovery, and skipped out on crab week. However, when the market went green at FOMC, without even as much as a dip down beneath the intraday low, I became a BVLL believer again. Still thought it would dip down today so bought one single SPY put end of day yesterday that I sold at open dip today then switched to calls. Still too much of a pussy to go heavy leverage but bought a couple of calls expiring early January. Will buy more if we have any -1 or -2% dips in December. Rally will continue. Will also buy more miner ETFs.

-Hindsight bias is the tendency to see past events as having been more predictable than they actually were — the “knew-it-all-along” effect. This makes people reinterpret their prior beliefs and overstate how certain they were beforehand.
- Outcome bias (closely aligned with resulting) is judging a decision by its result rather than the decision process; it conflates luck with skill and discourages honest evaluation of reasoning under uncertainty.

if you're an institution that gets inflows at the end of the month, and you think it's going to be more expensive then, you can make a fat gain by locking in the price now. if you're a trader it allows massive leverage, because the contracts trade at a fraction of the underlying and if the price appreciates you reap massive gains.

You do know that the method by which they calculate inflation doesn't include house prices, right? You do know that they allow substitutes, right? For instance they substitute the price of a rib eye steak with that of a chuck steak and substitute more expensive brands with cheaper version of the same product rather than calculating the same goods and brands over time which is why inflation is not 2% or even 3%

if I was the POTUS I would push hard for:
- 0 subsidies. Funnel all money into fixing up physical infrastructure like fixing up Mississippi ports and bridges and canals, modern railways, high speed rail in the NE corridor and California and Texas and Chicago and rust belt, geothermal power plants where suitable
- Niggers get nothing, no food stamps, only work and there will be lots of digging for the new nuclear power plants, new water reservoirs (drinking water, hydroele, irrigation, pumped storage)
- no fucking layers upon layers of subcontractors, no new highways, no highways in the cities
- open insane asylums to get rid of the homeless, put them to plant trees if possible
- military is getting waaaay less money, especially stupid navy with their continuous destroyer bullshit they keep pulling
- borders will be protected by the rule "Shoot to kill" and drones, mass deportations
- cancel and remove presidential pardons so I screw every president after

Now that would make even 4% inflation tolerable. If we print money we print it for something that stays long term and not jewish banks, or women, or any gay ass retarded shit like that

And then I would lose the next elections because they would just drown me in legalese, in attacks on my government and anything I would try, and there is no way others would let me slow down or shut down any bullshit military building of bondoogle bullshit project their retard state has.

Projected $73 billion in revenue over six quarters wasn't good enough for investors who want higher returns sooner and $21 billion of that revenue over the next four quarters is from Anthropic alone($1 billion from an unnamed customer which we know is OpenAI because they publicly announced it in Oct) a private start up of former OpenAI members who like OpenAI but not to the same degree are reliant on debt to fund their expenditure so that's a risk

The bear case isn't that Microsoft or Google or even Nvidia goes bankrupt just that their valuation based off of expected revenue from AI is no longer factored into share price which causes it to tank this alone could cause a wider market crash in a panic or just the fact that the AI spend is helping prop up the economy no longer exists it will sink the US into a recession, a strong pillar holding up the US economy is the often touted top 10% being 50% of consumer spending but they can afford that spending due to the large rise in share prices in recent times that has provided that cushion so if you take that out from under them then they fall and the economy along with it

No can do on the punctuation but also I forgot to mention retail investors are 21% of the US stock market and for cerain companies like Nvidia they are 27% then there's pension funds and 401ks that are invested so a drop in the share price even just wiping out the YTD gains which in the case of Broadcom as an example is up 75% would almost certainly doom the US to a recession

Time to invest in Japanese small and mid caps focused on the internal market. The Yen is going to appreciate and hit the manufacturing export giants but it's going to help retail, services and anyone with imports. The second push for this is a coming tax cut in the new year to prop up consumption.

The current flak with China will smooth over just as it happened years ago with South Korea getting THAAD. China gets mad, has a tantrum and then calms down, this time there's not even organised protests and attacks on stores from the government.

I plan to hold in the hopes I just mistimed the bottom. I loaded up at -4%, -6%, and -7%.
I didn't expect it to go below $45 in the worse case and I clearly was wrong about that. Hopefully the AVGO hysteria blows over and we recover later today

>SCHG
Been considering switching to that next year too. SCHD I started out on buying 10 shares a month but after April it kinda stagnated. Not like I pay attention to quarterly earnings what with this being a Roth IRA, not a typical brokerage account. I use Fidelity. I just want one S&P thing but no idea if it's redundant to have both an ETF and mutual fund at the same time. VOO is the former and FXAIX is the latter. If so, I can sell FXAIX and increase my odds on buying full shares (just one VOO and QQQ per month) all year instead of 3/4ths of it.

the composition of the S&P500 is a lot different today than it was 50 years ago when you could buy it at a PE ratio of 12. I mean, aren't people like you the ones always pointing out how the top 10% of the S&P500 are carrying it and that's a sign of a bubble? The PE ratio of the S&P500 has increased over the years because you are paying a premium for those companies. If you could buy the S&P500 excluding the mag7 you could get it for a much cheaper PE ratio, yet I'd make a very confident bet that your gains would be significantly less over the next 10 years than someone who held the regular "expensive" S&P500 with those mag 7 stocks as the top positions.

The Depression is your body and mind trying to keep you down. That's the piece you have to fight and force your way through to recover.
What kind of exercise are you doing? Do you have a 24 hour gym with free weights near you so you can get there at any time during the day or night? Go get the stronglifts 5x5 app and start SL 5x5 at zero weight on the bar and go. Three times a week, it starts off easy, don't rush it, just do it every other day. It's not complicated, it's just a plan that gives you small progress every day that you go. Having a plan and meeting your goals in that plan are key to helping you beat that depression.

Oracle didn't beat on earnings it was financial massaging without the sale of their stake in Ampere their EPS was $1.33 which is lower than the projected $1.64 they also have mountains of debt with negative free cash flow and decreasing revenue from their existing software business(Down 21%) with increased borrowing which is why Oracle's credit was downgraded a few months ago and the banks who put together some of their loans are taking out credit default swaps as they fully expect them to default on the loan
>>
>>61480357
Broadcom projected $73 billion over the next six quarters of which Anthropic alone is $21 billion of those sales over the next four quarters which means their sales are relatively flat and not the type of growth investors had expected which means the stock is overvalued hence the dump
