If the ~356:1 imbalance holds and paper shorts are forced to cover with physical (or equivalent), the "fair" physical price could theoretically jump to current spot (~$62) multiplied by the ratio: $62 × 356 ≈ $22,072 per ounce. Even at the more conservative 300:1 ratio, that's ~$18,600—still well over $20k.

Also sorry for the sideways Harambe

Data Point to consider:

I had 1kg of junk silver I wanted to rid myself off (jewelry mostly) as it looks trashy.
I visited two local shops that I have good standing with, one antique focused and one just a junk buyer.

I sense both are turning bearish. We were all bullish 3 months ago, it was easy to unload, hard to buy, we all were hyped. Now I sense fear, harder negotiation. I sold pretty much at spot to the junk vendor. The antique dealer doubted being able to sell anything for simply aesthetics at these prices and did not want to buy in even at spot. The junk guy took a bit more of a risk and I got rid of everything except a few soviet silver medals he did not want to pay anything extra for.

Good news is that I most likely made 600% on my little junk bag because I bought a lot of it cheaply back in the day. I might regret this and see silver climb higher, but I think now is a good time to trim fat and take a bit of profit to maybe save for a future dip.

Spending a good 5 minutes berating it. Then I do a simple google search and instantly find what I was looking for. AI to me is fucking useless. What exactly can it help with?

In terms of ruthenium/gold partially/fully plated silver coins - would they likely be with less considering their 'impurities' in a financial collapse scenario, or might the 'silver is silver' view still apply?
>>
>>61488640
Worth, not with.
>>
>>61488590
Grok is by far the best. The others don't even compare at all. It's good for hypothetical scenarios and rote memorization stuff. It still hesitates when talking about the chicken swingers though.

But I do think silver will give way, well beyond into 5 digit territory if the paper markets crash. Which they will. So it is only a matter of time. 4 digit silver will shock everyone but 5 digit silver is the end game. A few distractions later whether it be war or economic crashes. Or hell even a full hyperinflation event will make silver exceed even the biggest bulls' expectations.

GenAI is good if you treat it like an autistic man in his undergraduate college student years.
>research assistance for complex queries, especially if you tell it to show its work and punish it for lying
>small scale coding tasks
>language creation both human and computer
>drawing engineering diagrams
>drawing porn
This is why the people most excited about AI are college professors, college students who don't actually care about the material, managers of computer programming teams, and gooners.

I wanted to know how much is spent on AI data centers per year, the estimate for AI data centers total spending up to 2030, and the GPU market in 2030. It was easier than googling it and reading through all that slop.
And for anyone who's wondering, 500 billion for data centers this year, an estimated 7 trillion total by 2030, and a 237 billion worldwide GPU market.

So anyways, that was my niche use case and it was just a way to see how fucked we are and how a crash is inevitable. It also says we get an AI bubble correction of 35% in 2026.

I am literally never ever selling 100% of my stack, I'll always hold some of it even if silver goes to 100,000 an ounce, so I don't sell off the collectibles and I sell off the generic bullion when it moons, and then sell the collectibles in peacetime after - or don't sell them, and just keep them because I bought them for fun.

Is there a single anon anywhere planning on selling 100% of his stack? I've never heard of one besides that retard that wants to use it to buy one (1) singular house.

COMEX actually doesn't have to pay out and can just refuse - they play hardball first and then do this.
>So uhhh, what does this do though, they can just refuse delivery
Yeah. But their paper silver is used to determine spot price of ALL silver, and this would essentially make the paper silver market irrelevant, immediate price discovery.
>>
>>61488850
I never said anything about 100%, I just hate the fact that I have to oversell a 1oz round just because it has mickey mouse penis on it, it’s dumb and gay.
>>
>>61488940
And also, if you can't get comex bars nobody can, not jewelers, not people who make silver shot / powder that jewelers use, not industry, nobody. The thing about them not being able to deliver is that industries will also not be getting what they need, they'll have to go to the retail market. So imagine suddenly the entirety of industry going to LCS's and buying coins.
>>61488942
>It's dumb and gay!
Then uhhhh, don't buy the thing you don't like?
I paid more for coins with little hummingbirds on them because I liked them.
>>
>>61488946
It wasn’t bought though, it was traded. That’s why I’m complaining. Imagine showing up to an ancient onions juice stand and instead of someone handing you a regular coin it was silver in the shape of buttplug.
>>
>>61488956
then good, you don't have to oversell it if you just traded for it like it was a generic.
>>
>>61488956
I'll trade you that Satanic silver coin for a mickey boner round
>>
>>61488959
But the premium still exists though because someone out there WILL overpay for mickey penis so now I have to do extra work
>>
>>61488964
You don't though, you got it for a normal price (trade) as generic so you could just trade it as generic. You don't have to do anything extra, in fact you could just throw it on the ground and leave it there and nobody would shoot you for it.

Same more or less, but even being among kindred spirits in this thread I just have this sense that everything is just so OFF, but I can't properly articulate it. It's like what I imagine people in comas must feel like when they can hear everyone around them but can't respond. I don't have the knowledge or vocabulary to explain it all but everything just SMELLS right now, you know? Like,

> isn't it weird that bitcoin simply sprang into existence immediately after the 2008 crash?
> isn't it weird that so many people and governments are invested into this digital currency whose creator is still to this day unidentified?
> isn't it weird that, based on the scant evidence available, the creator of bitcoin seems to be several Americans masquerading as one Japanese man?
> isn't it weird that this "Satoshi," despite having had ample time to cash out at a substantial profit, yet has had the foresight not to do so across multiple price peaks?
> isn't it weird that "his" personal bitcoin wallet is currently worth enough US dollars to substantially disrupt or collapse entire industries or national economies?
> isn't it weird that the US dollar price of gold and silver have behaved so oddly, for so long, stagnating when by all means they should be much more valuable?

And weirdest of all; why do we all just passively except this as "normal?" I can't think of any comparably massive mystery with such seismic potential consequences in history. It's like if Watergate's Deepthroat appeared in every single living room in America simultaneously one night, and everyone just tacitly agreed to pretend he's not there and not talk about him ever.
>>
>>61489162

That's the thing though, I feel like I AM an average person. I have a sort of high IQ and a big cock but I'm mostly just a guy. I wage for a living, I make retarded decisions sometimes, I failed to sell the top of AMC, I have bad gas and my farts annoy my wife. I'm not extraordinary. Why is it that I'm in a small minority of people that's asking these questions?

I don't want to be extraordinary because that would have very bad implications for most other people, and I have to share society with them no matter what.

Korea is a big auto manufacturer and silver refiner. Go to Korea and melt silver into auto parts and then export it to Ireland since you have a free trade agreement with Korea.

Once it’s in Ireland just melt it into hand poured bars of a famous brand.

My whole country is full of smugglers so Canadians know all the tricks.

Lurked in /pmg/ a couple years ago, I wish I had more faith in precious metals back then and started stacking then. Could've easily have triple of my current stack size, but better late than never. It was in October that I admitted to myself about the suspicions I had on crypto and finally pulled the trigger.

My silver stack ratio is 17.6 toz (bars) : 4.1 toz (rounds) : 1 toz (constitutional). My focus at this point is weight, and thus I've been considering to get more constitutional. It is more divisible, has history, and is under spot, but the .900 bothers me (no real logical reason, not like I'll sell to a refiner or anything). What would you try to accumulate more of?
>>
>>61489645

>>
>>61489656
I would buy more constitutional silver right now. You can still get it at around 33x face value if you know where to look (under 49 dollars per ounce of silver). Once the premiums for 90% silver coins come back you can then trade it in for pure silver rounds/bars. Even with sacrificing some of the coins for the trade you'll make out great.

Now is the best time to buy 90% junk silver coins, since you can still get some way below melt. Just keep low balling new listings on eBay with offers and you'll make it

Everyone, especially on forums like these have varying opinions. I will list my top coins (not bars, but those are good too) you should have in your arsenal:

1. Coin of the realm (AKA if you're in the US, you should have at least a tenth of your stack be Eagles, Canadian? maples, UK? Britannia
2. Maples, from my research these seem to be desired everywhere.
3. A tube of a good buffalo round design from a reputable mint. Elemental, GSM, Asahi for example, these are your main divisible coins.
4. Junk, and make it your mission to get junk that is instantly recognizable as THAT junk silver. So I'd stay away from Washingtons, FagDR dimes, kennedy's and anything that is 40%.

Just my 2 ¢

What search terms do you use on eBay? Only been buying from online bullion dealers so far, for the peace of mind that I'm not ordering fake stuff (don't have the keenest of eyes and seen those pages fake ASE). Also, does eBay enforce the state taxes for precious metals?

>What search terms do you use on eBay?
I would buy the smaller constitutional silver coins, such as dimes and quarters. Nobody is faking dimes and quarters.

What I typically do is sort by newest listings and find some that have the "make offer" button. I typically find listings from inexperienced people who take amateur photos of their lots. Try to find hidden listings that don't get much traction, primarily ones with bad titles and descriptions. Don't buy any coins from people with generic photos, as you won't get a good deal and you'll never be able to know for sure what you'll be getting in the mail. If you want to get a good deal, go for the silver dimes, specifically the Roosevelts. You may have to make dozens of offers in order to get a good deal, but in the long run it'll be worth it.

I use this website to calculate what price I should pay for the coins in these listings. http://coinapps.com/silver/coin/calculator/. You can change the spot price to whatever you want in order to get a good idea on what price you should put in your offer.
>>
>Also, does eBay enforce the state taxes for precious metals?

There's good and bad deals on ebay. Avoid the boomers who "know what they got" and don't do any auctions. Bidding in auctions on eBay will inevitably result in you paying more than melt on what you're trying to buy.

I got this slab when silver was hovering at 58 dollars an ounce, I found it while searching through a random sellers listings. You can get a good deal just by sniping listings that haven't gotten their pricing updated yet.

why go after the hardest coin to fake among all, who also carry a very low premium? ASEs would be much more profitable and easier to fake.
Also those off brand slabs are basically just advertising, they don't mean shit but help sellers to get better prices for very little cost. I know few pro sellers on ebay who use these, they get huge discount on bulk slabbing by the hundreds each month, and the slabbing "company" just is one or two dudes milking their numismatic expert license being a super cheap knock off PCGS. Don't expect those grades to be accurate, but the coin in the slab is gonna be legit.

Exactly, you could. Difference being you'd be a fraud since you aren't a licensed numis expert. If legit, the guys doing these put their reputation/certification on the line (not that it means much for nonames lol).

>>61490180
>That's a 90% premium, maybe higher.
MUCH higher. Would cost less than a dollar to shart out a fake maple in China.
Anyway, anon will soon know about it, if he got a functioning brain he will know slabbing a common maple adds literally zero value, so he'll break the case to ping test and weight/caliper the coin to know if it's the real deal.
It's most likely real. The fakes panic is way overblown. I purchase for $5K worth of silver/numis coins each month on ebay, and i very rarely encounter fakes. I'd say the return rate for fakes is below 0.5%. Granted i don't fall for obvious fakes since i've accumulated experience in the matter.

In your previous post you said it was quite suspicious the seller didn't update the prices of his listings, but you can't believe how burdensome it is to manually update each listing everytime spot price fluctuate a bit. No way i'm updating Ks of listings no matter how much it climbs/spot outpace the numismatic value. That was my price target anyway so if the buyer is getting a good deal, then great for them, i'm still hitting my planned margin and i free up some capital for more slurps.

>you can't believe how burdensome it is to manually update each listing everytime spot price fluctuate a bit.
oh I know how that goes.
and I agree regarding setting my price to profit and not worrying about prices going higher

but given the fact that ebay takes 12% of my total plus shipping, I'd have to have either listed that coin a year before it was produced or have stolen it to sell it that cheap. Or got it off someone else for half of melt. But I'm always suspicious of anything on US ebay selling below melt. If nothing else you can just auction it and guaranteed get melt.

I dunno, and it doesn't matter. But if I saw that slab I would definitely steer clear.
>>
>>61490228
You should take it out just to allow this poor maple to join her sisters in your stack and save some space. Slabs like these add zero value, literally all the maple leafs are MS65+ since it's investment grade non circulating coinage. But you do you, in any case you made a nice deal so that's the most important part. :)

Sterling jewelry is fine, but the secret is to purchase it second hand off ebay, that way you eliminate the jew-eler premium entirely.
To not look like a cheapskate, you can also purchase empty jewelry cases from various known brands for few bux online, so it looks brand new.

He's right there are boomers that prefer slabs because everything they have is slabbed and they want to keep everything consistent. Most of my collection is slabbed and I would rather buy slabbed coins.

but then I would never buy an ICG slab, particularly a 2025 coin in a slab that looks like it's from 1985

Obviously, both gold and silver are going much higher. Silver is about to do some next level fireworks 3-4 months from now, we are talking about $150 price target here.
For gold it's more debatable, the price action will be more tied to governments willingness to be hedging against the dollar and new legal frameworks to try to settle the new economic order (one without the USD). If gold goes up, it might be all of a sudden in reaction to a new policy, rather than incremental poomps like silver.

How long out of the market's news have you been? Because a lot of things happened lately, a lot of very bullish news (basel III finally implemented, India's allowing silver assets to be used as collateral for bank loans, Saudi Arabia adding silver to their central bank stacking, US listing it as critical mineral, China's PM export limitations for 2026, Samsung announcing their new EV silver solid state battery, ...) but that'd be too long to list them all, and maybe you are aware of it already?

>So imagine suddenly the entirety of industry going to LCS's and buying coins

This literally happened in the late 70’s early 80’s, and it’s essentially happening right now in that coin shops send off coins to refineries to get melted down into bars which then go off to the COMEX or LBMA or manufacturers.

When COMEX goes bust bullion suppliers are going to spam the internet with ads and phone calls scrambling for supply and if it gets really bad you’ll probably even have “influencers” dropping sponsoring podcast promo codes and sales industry reps literally harassing people for silver, knocking on doors trying to source supply from stackers.

I have but it wasn't a chinese fake.
I bought a coin that was misidentified and it turned out to be a much cheaper item than advertised

my fault for not doing my research on the item. Also I often buy from that dealer because he sucks at ID'ing coins so he sometimes lets something really valuable go for dirt cheap. I didn't return the one coin because I've gotten so many cheapies off him I only thought it was fair I lose money once.

Kek, exact same thing happened to me not long ago. Since he list coins by batches of 200 with 3 days auctions, i zoom through it by just right clicking the title and looking up the market price, i barely look at the photos at times when i'm in robot mode (just a glance at the condition basically). So it happens he get the year wrong and that can fuck you up bad lol.
But as you said it's a small price to pay, not really worth risking your relation with the seller over a single coin.

I try to not go too heavy on US coins since the Bloumpf tariffs tho, burgers are a bit nervous ordering from the EU because they get charged an extra 20%, plus french postal services straight up cancelled parcels shipping to the US since last summer. I've to send stuff as declared as documents on the custom form...

Anyway, i know you love tiny ones, look at one of the best deals i got this year for spot, hidden in a lot of junk : half dime 1863, total mintage of 18.000ex only!

Also i'd like your expertize since i'm not too familiar with mint errors yet. I purchased this one as a date filled die error 1877 US Trade Dollar. I've no reason to doubt the seller, it's a reputable pro seller. He got absolutely incredible stuff, sadly i can't afford most the stuff he auction, but i've spent at least 15K€ to his shop lol.
But i myself can't tell if it hasn't been done later (i don't know why someone would do that tho)... and i couldn't find any similar filled die among trade dollars, so i'd really enjoy your thought on this one.
In any case i'd be happy with the coin, i didn't pay any premium for this mint error, the coin even went for slightly below normal's 1877 market value.
