ounce measured bars are rarely sold in europe (except single ounce or gold), so i guess the advantage is the ubiquitous availability of kg bars.
silver bars are mostly 100/250/500/1000, 5 and 15 kg bars.

no way. philarmonics have high liquidity, are very well known and while bland, they at least don't have a lizard on one side like, say, maples or britannias.
OTOH historicals are neat, but in this context gold is gold and if it's easy to swap anywhere, then better.

I had a nice 100oz Johnson Matthey loaf bar that was nice and rounded and smooth on top. It was sublime. Last year I decided to buy another and when I got it it arrived as a rectangular, kinda ugly JM bar that didn't match the original. It grew on me, but at that moment I realized that paying for a stamp is hardly worth the premium paid. Silver is silver and at this point I wouldn't buy anything more than 10oz bars. It's weird looking at them knowing they're about to be $10,000 each soon.

This is a sentiment I heard expressed back in 2010. People get one good trade under their belts and they think they are traders. They become over confident.
Most people actually eat their worst loss very shortly after their largest win. Most amateurs have no concept of risk management and fewer still have any idea what structural changes occurred before and after 2008.
Lots of danger out there if you don't know what you're doing out there.
There are times when it makes sense to chase yield and interest and there are times to be fearful. There will also be trades you can't afford to miss that pop up periodically throughout history.

So after doing some research for the new theoretical Holo coin I think a medieval style Groat hand cut from pressed sheets of silver about 4grams of silver and roughly 25 - 29mm in diameter and hand struck with a side profile of Holo and the words "Lupus et Aromata" around the edge on the obverse and a wheat pattern along perimeter with a set of merchant scales with coin and apples on the reverse. Im debating putting a year. Either 2006 the year the the novel was published or 2026. Im thinking a price point around 45 - 50 USD per coin depending on silver price.

>I don't stop because traffic is clear and I've already committed to the turn

>later outside securing my load in the yard
>see the guy that had tried to flag me down
>old black guy, probably mid 60s
>ask why he had been waving at me
>"oh I just wanted to warn you that that first bend around the back of the building is tight as hell, I had to back up and try again taking the turn wider and my trailer STILL just barely cleared"
>guy was just going out of his way to try and help out a fellow driver
>we get to talking about driving, and then wages, and then just money/the economy
>I was just starting to stack silver at this point
>was carrying around an eagle in my pocket just to fondle and keep me focused
>gave it to him
>told him about silver and what was coming
>explained to him what he was holding and how once you had one you just want to keep getting more
>"man me and my wife have been talking about building a nest egg"
>"thank you!"
I really hope he followed through and is doing well...

Hand cutting the shapes out of sheet metal as it was done in the medieval period. I had assumed they where cast into sand molds but thats was done more in the classical era. Allot of the coins from the medieval period have a non symmetrical shapes due to clipping by Jews and others because thats just how they where manufactured.

That's what insurance is for.

I bought 90% of my stack in person with cash, but I decided to splurge and buy some reichsmarks on eBay because my local coin shop doesn't have any.

I live too far away from everywhere else to make driving worth the trip, and in-person trips will probably be too risky, when silver hits quadruple digits. I'll probably be done buying anything other than maybe land/cars at that point, and I'll probably be able to afford to pay someone to handle that for me anyways.

Reminds me of someone I met on a rainy evening after cashing out from the bank to buy PMs that weekend. Given what we spoke of I wouldn't be surprised if he also stacked, but I noticed him to begin with because he was trying to get funding for back surgery after being injured at work and the company going under, leaving him hanging. So the $100 went to that instead of 3 ounces of silver, but in a world that might grow a whole lot "smaller" if certain things come to pass, I wouldn't be surprised to see him again.

End cycle of current civilization. There is no positive development anywhere. Everywhere is being invaded by browns and the shit all over, whites give away everything. I gotta bet big, because there's no alternative. The economy is shit everywhere. The can will be tried to be kicked, but it's now attached to the road. It won't move. This can cannot be kicked. If the only difference is 1% of the gold metal is gold then the gold metal will ALWAYS be more valuable than the silver medal until the GSR inverts. Even if silver were $4000 per ounce right now and gold was $4100 the gold metal would still be more valuable.

Not true, what they also did in the meantime was incentive westerners to buy any other asset.
All it takes is a redditor to say "volatility" and investors are immediately scared away, even though volatility is where all the money is made.

Amazing they were able to convince people that an asset that goes sideways for 5 years at a time is somehow volatile because of price action that happens for like 1 month of a year.

Now that we've seen CME raise margins on silver futures twice in one week right after the Christmas holiday when silver broke $75, I'm starting to get suspicious about those "cooling issues at the data center" CME had right after the Thanksgiving holiday when silver broke $50.

Crypto is intended as a holding area for midwits smart enough to get out of USD but too dumb to get into PMs. They don’t want it to crash, they want it to stay attractive so more idiots buy literally Nothing. Because using crypto and other virtual means (like the tokenized gold/silver we've seen recently) is, in the opinion of some, MIGHT be propped up to try and reduce the amount of people with physical goods one last time, before we are forced to return to fundametals. None of us would be surprised to see that happen. We might even be glad if that means we get another period of (relative) cheapies.

Zero. Understand Anon. China is basically trading all their USD for silver at a premium. Effectively dumping the dollar directly for Silver.

The US is now bleeding silver directly to China. And it’s a bad bleed. If the Spot price were to drop to 70 now, it would become an arterial bleed, and the Chinks would just follow the price down while slurping harder. Not only that the smaller buyers like you and me would buy more.

The genie is out of the bottle on this. There’s no way but up. They’ll pull various hebrew shenanigans to try and dump the price, scare off weak hands. But it won’t matter.

Hyperinflation is Nature reasserting itself. And the jew by definition hates and acts contrary to Nature. He cannot help it and he will go down clawing and screaming before he backs up an inch.

Shit is going to get very, very real over the next few years.

>>

It's effective after close tomorrow. So it's not really "end of the year" to most people. Although come to think of it, maybe it's for the China export ban then which should start after close. Maybe they expect a bunch of panic buys when that happens.

What will happen in the short term is people will be forced to sell their futures contracts. This might help ease the pressure on the bullion banks in the futures market, but the issue at heart is one of physical availability. I don't know if the rumors are true, but apparently the price for physical silver in UAE and China is topping $95-150 per ounce. Already the COMEX and LBMA prices are meaningless when our vaults have been drained and the masses are PANIC BUYING in the east. China can restock their silver sales because they are buying for top dollar. The West tried to adjust the price too little too late. We were practically giving silver away at $20-30 dollars an ounce and even the most low IQ silver stacker could tell you something wasn't right. Our vaults are empty and the U.S. bullion banks wanting to pay $75 per ounce right now when the Chinese are paying at least $89 is like a Limp Dick showing up to the Bonnie Blue gang bang.

ok gotcha.
you're saying that when margin tightens, longs have to sell some of their contracts to maintain integrity so the price goes down and the short's positions are worth more.

I see that as an argument AGAINST high margin though. The higher the margin the more turbulence can cause massive swings.

Also, why are we rooting for paper traders to make x20 the fiat on a silver move vs what they would have made with the same amount of fiat invested into physical silver?

I agree with:
>>61569064
futures markets are fundamentally broken for the purpose of price discovery as long as they are used as political tools and endorsed by those who create fiat

>>61569122
paper silver generally reflects physical value but there's more manipulation occurring which can have negative downstream effects on physical value. if paper trade is booming it's good for physical and vice versa. market tamping is good for no one but the ppl at the top. this is a more unique scenario than before so the typical solutions will not have typical effects.
>>
>>61569031
Isn't it just the opposite? Doesn't the higher margin require those who are leveraged in futures to pony up more cash as security for their credit? So isn't it forcing shorters to either pay more or execute their contracts at a loss? This is pretty far from my field of expertise but it looks to me like COMEX knows full well that the paper game is coming to an end and they are trying to shake out as much "phantom" silver as possible before the vaults are exposed as empty. I think they are throwing people under the bus to save themselves.
>>
>>61569148
shorters can basically bank on the price decreasing. that benefits no one but them
>>
>>61569151
Bank how? They have to pay more cash right now or settle the contract. Are they paying up to the margin so they can stay in the short position? Because that is just extending their exposure in an obviously rising market.

I love the concept, but there are a couple things retracting from it. Perspective is off: to fix it follow the previous pictures. I.e. the Chad is set in front of the crowd but the flag and his lower right is set behind the masses, which makes a folding problem. I'd say the black flag is too long and big but that's subjective. The flag toga, while nice, is objectively too big and long. You want to remain firmly grounded in physical aspects and ratios when delving into the fantastical

Overall I love it though, keep stackin

The problem is they can only shake out speculative money. They still have dwindling vault supply and industry that has no choice but to source the metal elsewhere. The luxury of market manipulation to pad corporate profits are over.
If real-world scarcity are now on the forefront of the public awareness, what does that say about dollars, bonds and stocks and wages when a money-metal randomly quadruples in price.
You're obviously not going to be keeping up with inflation in bonds and these bullion banks have a short position larger than Uranus so what happens to your equity when they have to sell their portfolios to get the cash to settle up in the Futures Fiasco(kek). This is even worse than a CUSIP Conundrum!

I mostly ignore them since no one ever says anything worth reading and none of them paid attention to the first 350 days of this year as silver steadily creeped up 140%. Silver is easily as important to industrial society as oil is but no one paid attention.

You can tell they’re only writing the articles because their boss was getting questions about silver from his boss and now he has to write a puffy meaningless article to make it seem like they have their finger on the pulse (they don’t).

Watching the price action is funny because they keep trying to tamp it down but it just steadily keeps creeping up. They’re trying to use the same market psychology tricks to dissuade investors in stocks and crypto as they do on this industrial commodity not even understanding that most of the buys pressure is coming from entities that buy it because they have to, not because they want to, or because they think it’s a good investment. Silver is a core pillar of modern civilization and has been for thousands of years.
