>>61600441Looks good so far.Are you the anon from a few nights ago with design experience looking to mint a round?
>>61600394I'm so close to getting a full set of Peace Dollars. All I need are the 1924-S, 1926-P, 1927-P and 1928-P.I'm in no rush to buy the 1928 (and to a lesser extent the 1927) since those are lower mintage dates that are commonly faked, so I'll need to get them from a reputable dealer in person. The 1926-P and 1924-S are particularly infuriating since they're both somewhar common (around 2M minted each) and I've never been able to get them. I need to lock in and get those two dates locked down before Silver prices go up even more.

its looking like the rare bart into nega-bartthis kind of volatility is cool but also a bit worrying
Frensmark will never happen and entertaining people who say they're gonna do it instead of just fucking doing it is like entertaining the retard you used to know who sought attention over mentioning products he was gonna buy repeatedly but never did.Shit or get off the pot.
>>61600472Just raw culls to fill my album, I don't have the budget for anything better.Even in raw culls, it's been impossible to win an Ebay auction for a 1924-S (and none of my local coin shops ever have that date in an affordable grade) and all the 1926-P's I've bought have turned out to be 1926-S's that the sellers had mislabeled.

Various industries need mining silver directly to be profitable in order to meet their demands which are currently not being met which means the bottom barrel price of silver will eventually be $200/oz
>>61600926Good.

>>61600869Well they mint their own coins rather than having to go to random heebs so yeah
Last frensmark I'll post. I put everything in one image so we can keep floating the idea until someone follows through.
>>61600926that assumes that environmental regulations and civil torts will continue to make mining silver in the US prohibitively expensive, which probably isn't true. by the time silver hits $200 every former silver mine in the US is going to reopen whether people like it or not. And they won't like it.Hell, if silver stays above $75 for a couple years you're going to see hundreds of old mines open back up.
>>61600910How about I just piss my own pants? And then we will see who looks stupid..
>>61600942crescent city silver approached them for the coin. just like any organized group that can justify their tooling with documented intent could do, aka /pmg/ if the people who are interested in the coin actually put some effort in.

I will personally open a galena mine if silver hits $200
>>61600953break even is enough to get things started. It has to stay there for a while though.
>>61600960>all the easy to mine silver is gonethat's relativethe silver that's left is just as easy to mine as most copper, gold, molybdenum. The price just has to be high enough to dig the pit.
>>61600952Ah interesting I thought that was golden state mints own coin. Presumably they got it pushed through because they wanted like 1k+ ounces of them which I doubt pmggers can front for the frensmark.
Those old mines still have silver but they'd need to be refitted to meet modern safety standards. It'll take years of elevated prices to spur investment, then years to retrofit the old mines before they come online. It'll happen, just not overnight.
>>61600977Most of them are underground. They'd just be converted to open pits instead of trying to shore them up and pump them out.We haven't done it yet because pits are cheap to operate but extremely expensive to permit

>>61600910When I rotate into PMs later I'll be doing it with the same mentality that I acquire items for emergency scenarios. They're there just in case. >>61600973golden state does. crescent city designed the coin. i bet if there were an actual document with burner emails for contact there would be over 250 people interested and probably a lot for multiples of the coin over the time of people whining one didn't exist. and you bring up.the other problem. people here aren't interested in the coin, they're interested in a limited run they can buy multiples of to sell to anons later for profit.
>>61600948That'll show him!

Rick Rule expects 75% decline in dollar purchasing power over the next decade. Expects a 3-4x in gold and possibly 500-600% increase in silver over 5-10 years. He also guarantees a 30% decline in gold and silver price at least twice over this period. Just a reminder don’t go all in and FOMO frens. Cheapies will return
>>61600708Please make this, I will drop so much money on these coins it’s not even funny. Also why not try an Iranian owned mint? I had these made in an Iranian jewelry shop and they were happy to do it.
>>61600981Chris Duane is who got me into stacking back in 2012. He had an amazing channel full of redpills and either he deleted it or youtube did and then he just kinda gave up on redpilling people. Sad! Also his wife divorced him which kinda broke him mentally, he's a shell of who he used to be.
>>61601023Yeah I think Todd actually went the opposite direction. Started with custom minted coins and was moving towards engraving. I don't know if he ever produced an engraved coin though. I don't pay much attention. I am a bit curious how someone would deal with the weight issue and the recovery of silver vapor.

Obviously an ai rendering isn't as useful as the 3d model he was designing, so I hope he follows through. And anon, if you read this and decide the whole project is stupid, at least finish the 3d model and share it with us so we can move forward somehow. Team effort.

Unless you're mega rich and you can just take the ai renderings and force some mint to do everything for you and then you produce a few hundred rounds and then sell them to us.
>>61601062The one anon who knows everything and knows this will fail has pointed out how the process gets done while the rest of you have relied on 5 anons over half a decade and countless /pmg/ threads to do all the work. It's time for you to do some in their absence if you want one.

>>61601024>75% decline in dollar purchasing power over the next decadeWow he’s quite optimistic lmao
>>61601070based on gold and silver the dollar has lost 99% of its value over the past 50 years with most of that loss being in the last 5 years. I don't know what the future will bring but a 75% drop in 10 years isn't really a wild prediction I don't think. Some of that loss may have already happened and prices/wages just haven't caught up to it yet.

>>61601082You can do infinitely more than the blender render guy by simply making a google form and collecting burner emails for people's contact, interested quantity.Export censored versions of your data collected to an open Google doc so others can see actual numbers of how many are interested. Upload whatever 2d images you want to another Google form for design survey. Open Google doc for vote results.Approach a mint once a few hundred coins are hit for a price quote of say how much per if 350 are made, how much per if 500 are made, etc. (i.e. spot at time of order + how much)Submit voted design to the mint because they literally have people on payroll to make the design have depth and don't need blender render anon. When x quantity for y price is hit, finalize with mint.Let the mint handle the financials including deposits so you don't get accused of anything and anons have security in the purchase. Aside from the low probablity of some kickback from the mint you're also not profiting. Anons are happy. This should have been done 2 years ago, the Google docs would be teeming with interested anons.I would do it but desu I don't care about the coin or other pmg coins. >>61601204there's a lot of sellers and not many buyers I think. Like if you take silverware to a pawn shop or coin store they're going to offer half of melt or less because they can't sell it except as scrap.so if you don't mind dealing with scrapping it you can get some great deals.

>>61601284There's a lot of it out in the wild here. Boomers and silent generation all pretty much either bought silverware or inherited it and their kids and grandkids are getting rid of it as fast as they can. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the same thing happen with coins soon. Huge boomer collections going on the block as the entire generation dies off and their kids don't want the storage problem.
>>61601269I guess that's the catch. One refinery I looked at had a 50c per ounce fee, with a minimum fee of $250. This is big league stuff.
>>61601284Canada seems pretty similar to the US in terms of below-spot scrap availability, and in the UK I've seen lots of unremarkable sterling spoons etc. sell below spot, but maybe elsewhere it's harder to find because everyone there was a poorfag back when silver was fashionable making it more scarce to find sterling or .800 or whatever was used there nowadays.

Anyone have any advice on jewelry? Seems like a decent source of metals but I'm not too sure what the interplay is. Also, how to estimate how much gold is in a plated piece of jewelry?
>>61602547Avoid plated. Unless you're collecting/processing/refining literal tons of the stuff, it's a lost cause. Stick to lower purity karat scrap. 10 and 12k. It's plentiful (nogs love their walmart 10k cuban link), can be had for good prices, and has a decent yield.
>>61602572I've found good jewelry that's priced fine, but it would be bought second hand and there are no guarantees I'm buying what I'm getting. What I mean is, how do I go about checking to make sure I am getting 12k, or whatever, rather than plated? Or scammed?
>>61602628>What I mean is, how do I go about checking to make sure I am getting 12k, or whatever, rather than plated? Or scammed? You need experience handling and acid-testing genuine gold jewelry so you get a feel for it and can build an understanding of the different hallmarks and the ways genuine jewelry is constructed versus the way plated/costume/fake jewelry is constructed. I've never seen fake hallmarked 10k stuff, I've seen a bit of fake 14k, but by far the most common fakes in the US are things like rings marked 18k.You should avoid plated stuff, but "Gold Filled" jewelry and pocket watch cases etc. can be an extremely lucrative source of gold if you're willing to dissolve the base metal cores with nitric acid so you can collect the karat gold foils. Lots of gold-filled is 1/20th 12k and marked as such so when new it contains 2.5% pure gold, the richest gold filled I've seen is 1/5th 10k which is over 8% gold by weight. Often people sell it at the same price as costume/plated stuff so I like accumulating it.
