Thank you, reading his recent posts was very helpful.

I also found his YT channel which has an excellent video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMiyEEeXNHU ) explaining the options dilemma that the bankerfags have got themselves into and the possible motives behind AI Asian Guy and others squawking about the commodities index rebalancing. The pros have all positioned accordingly but there could still be a wave of spooked retail selling or bankster paperdumping done under the cover of the rebalancing story so I'll be watching for tasty dips to buy into, my silver miner bags aren't quite full yet.

Another very good video of dario's:

If you want to day trade, don't buy physical. But don't be surprised when your paper investment tanks and you have nothing. Buying and holding precious metals is essentially shorting the entire corrupt western financial system, with its unmanageable debt bubble, fiat currency inflation, and runaway governments. Yes, you pay a small retail premium when you buy. Just like you pay a retail premium when you buy almost anything. When you buy a steak dinner you don't pay the CME price for beef. In the scheme of things, the retail premium for gold and silver is relatively very small.

But when you short western corruption and decay with physical metal, there will never be a margin call and your investment is inflation-proof.

Imagine going long a futures contract at $16 and somehow getting margin called.
The thing about that price is it all has to do with leverage. They were selling oil because they wanted to, they were selling because they had to. In the event of a slow down, their debts never stop accruing interest. So during the 2020 panic creating huge gluts of oil, they still could not stop selling.

I think they mean minimums are 5000, whereas in Shanghai, the minimum is 500? I don’t think they’re selling paper silver for six bucks an ounce.

I might have completely misunderstood it, but I dont think so. would love to discuss and learn if someone knows better, but I think the logic checks out.

Yes, the whole point was to prop up fiat by making PMs an undesirable investment through unpredictable volatility.

>>61611857
They'll charge you full price - they just don't have the silver that they're selling to you. The entire reason for this entity to exist is to tamp silver prices with paper magic.

here's the full thing sort of condensed
-
Shanghai silver futures contracts are 15 kilograms.
15 kilos = 482.25 troy ounces
Idk the price in chinkland, but let's go with $80 because everyone says it's higher.
1 chink futures silver contract currently costs $38,580

That margin hike email is pretty wordy and I don't understand what percentages apply to what so here are all of the listed percentages applied to the $38580 assumed contract price.
18%= $6,944.40

Some interesting things to note. China is doing the margin by percentage while Comex does it by $ value.
The Shanghai contracts are much smaller than the Comex contracts, which are 5,000 ounces. Comex margins were raised in December to $32,500
5000oz*$75=$375,000
At these numbers Comex margins are 8.6%

Obviously china is being more responsible and taking their metal exchange more seriously. the margin being 30% means the traders cannot get to these crazy levels of leverage that people can get on Comex.
no surprise there are close to 400 paper ounces per real ounces. At comex you could have bought 10x the amount of silver per dollar you have with their low margin rates.

What I think is beneficial for Shanghai is that you can close a smaller monetary amount of contracts. ie. Being forced to sell 500oz at a time vs forced to sell 5000oz with Comex.
I can't see how this would be useful at Comex besides keeping retail investors away.

it has been a great tool for them to tamp the price. they used this exact tactic to stop GME gamestop.
the random unpredictable margin hikes and the crazy huge 5000oz contracts mean any time they want they can force people to dump millions of dollars of paper silver.

this statement was not entirely correct. those numbers are the margin requirements. The amount of money you need to deposit as collateral.

but it is still interesting how much collateral is needed at each institution

the oil thingy was tied to that one reservoir in murrca being chock-full and unable to contain any more, so all the futures bound to it basically exploded.
That can't really happen with Silver logically, but then again we're in clown economy. I hope we all find sites auto-calculating their prices and shoot our orders.

OK, here’s what I found out.

Basically COMEX has manual margin rates on their contracts which are roughly 8.5 % and these contracts are 5000 ounces. They rarely deliver physical silver (0.5%) half of a percent of contracts.

SHFE has a dynamic percentage from 16 - 18%, however, has pointed out. The contracts are much smaller but have much higher margin rates more than double COMEX. SHFE apparently deliver physical silver at much higher rates than COMEX.

>The COMEX system requires a large, fixed dollar amount for a large contract, which makes it less susceptible to immediate liquidation from minor price moves but vulnerable to forced liquidation when the exchange raises the fixed margin due to high volatility. The SHFE system's margin is a variable percentage of a smaller contract's value, which means the margin adjusts automatically with price changes, tying it more directly to the real-time value of the physical metal… the COMEX's fixed-margin system can create sharp, high-impact volatility spikes and forced liquidations when margins are manually adjusted during a crisis, while the SHFE's percentage-based system uses automatic adjustments and trading halts to manage volatility, leading to different market dynamics and price relationships.

>>
>>61611925
yea it looks like SHFE is a much more realistic market. requiring 30% margins is much safer.
Comex doesnt even have the metal, and allow crazy high leverage with only 8.6% required.

like mentioned earlier, they used these margin hikes to squash gamestop. It looks to be one of their tools. The other thing they did is ban buying. allow only selling. they did this with the hunt brothers. We will likely see it again.
the 5000 ounce contracts are ridiculous now that we see SHFE is only 500.
It causes huge dumps when ever someone get margin called.
>>
>>61611925
So COMEX isn’t pricing silver at $6 dollars. They’re at silvers futures $77 dollars they just have lower margin requirements and they can manually change them daily to manipulate the markets (I guess?)
>>
>>61611934
SHFE is 16-18% margin and dynamic but they supposedly delivery physical silver 100%.

Since some people here don't seem to understand margins, here is what it means.

>Initial margin: Deposit required to open a futures position.
>You have to have this much money in your account to open a position
>Reason: So you don't get kicked out of the position in 20 seconds due to a 0.2% move

>Maintenance margin: Minimum balance that must be maintained to keep the position open.
>At this point you need to put more money into the account to maintain the position. You get back to the initial margin
>This is also the point where you get a margin call, ie a request to top up the margin again
>Reason: So there is enough buffer between that and 0, ie. the point where losses are no longer covered by your collateral

>Margin call: The demand to restore the margin balance back to the initial margin level.

>Variation margin: Daily cash settlement of gains or losses via mark-to-market.
>Unlike forwards futures are settled daily MtM, so this is essentially your profit/loss

Note that you only pay the full amount for the position if you accept physical delivery at expiration. If you settle for cash there is no delivery.

That doesn't make sense. He needs all the money up front and then the mint will start producing it. It will be crowd funded.
It's not like he is producing a certain amount and then selling them to us.

Based, me too. Only about $300 in puts but they're so cheap deep OTM and far dated, it's stupid not to.
>>
>>61612479
I'm wondering the same thing too.
Have any pmg rounds ever rug pulled?
Hopefully they can make it as safe as possible. Maybe the mint can take some of the responsibility with the money and shipping. I would trust a mint more than a random anon.

Anyone swing trading silver? I'm swinging leverage. I think it's great that silver is trading sideways with huge volatility. Basically swing 16% everyday with 2x. Just have to keep a portion invested, in case it breaks out. Of course I hold physical as well

I completely agree. God needs to amend the law to ban usury, gambling, leverage trading, and fractional reserve banking.

What will the gold/silver ratio be this year?
>>
>>61612662
If we close near 82 today the handle will be complete and Monday will be explosive.
>>
Och, gut,. Then today is PMs climb up friday, I thought yesterday was friday but with dumping curses. Then possible Mo. Tu. prices will be push down again if today up to 23:00 they keep climbing. If on Mo. Tu. prices keep still skyrock, we see another chapter then. Actual the tryied to hold gold under 4500 and silver under 89 $/Oz. Not worked. - I found another little plastic pocket of junk money today and there where so 5x 1 Lincoln pre 1982 cent (copper) and a 1x Brit 2 Pence (bronce) coins. Good we had Ami occupants in DE, so I can too profit from it. Sometimes I even find alien money at work, but mostly old DM/Pfennige, rarely Kaisers Reichsmarkt/Hitler Reichsmark, Nickel Ami 1/4 Dollars, Dimes, copper cents, Italian coins, Turk Lira, Spain, France, Croatia, money etc. But now rare as near all have EURO money, some time ago found a Mexico coin (and also others before) in my purse as the look similar to EUR coins, you get them smuggeled in with change money.

I would keep it. But still you can disclousure the case at LCS. I also got one 333 mini coin/medal with others 999. In DE you have to pay tax on under 900 gold, so I get my 333 without tax then because noone saw the tiny mark "333". I just noticed with my zoom glass and because was more dark, brown looking the the usual. has some "beer" color. Price byack then was some 20 or 25 EUR (the other 0.5, 999er too at same price of 20 or 25, all used, pre owned), maybe in 2022 at a LCS, much cheaper then retail they took some 40 EUR for 0,5 then. Made good deal then.

When posting YouTube links on most (all?) 4Chan boards, a hypertext link is added by 4Chan after your URL text. On computers it's "[Embed]," on phones it's "[Open]."
If you copy/paste the entire OP pasta, those links appear as new unlinked text. Keep doing that, and we'll end up with large strings of [Embed]s and [Open]s for the YouTube entries.

I must say, though, it's getting better while simultaneously worse. At least the iqpajeet pesona disappeared.
