Newfag here.

I mostly own PSLV and SVR. So physically backed funds I can hold in my TFSA. No capital gains, no spreads, no storage, and I can cash out easily. Why is this not superior to physical. In 4 if you don't hold it you don't own it. I'm genuinely curious. I don't know enough but saw the rise as an opportunity to make some gains.

Said stocks are only "backed" by silver, but they're not 100% backed, it's more like 1% or .01% backed. When the price goes huge they might not.
And if there's really a shortage of silver you'll get a physical premium when selling it to the stores, they're already waiting until march to get stock in now, they'll be at a point where to stay open they're paying out to bring in sellers.
This isn't a hypothetical either, back when silver was 25 an ounce and Silicon Valley Bank crashed junk silver was going for 5-10 over spot per face value, despite being cheaper than spot before said crash.
So that's just one part of it, the other part is you aren't relying on some other party. The cost of storage for me is literally nothing, I can liquidate 9k at a time with no reporting, and I can ask the local coin store guy market information - he's happy to volunteer his insights and tell me how business is. And my asset can't go to zero if somehow they weren't backing it like they said they were - which has happened in the past. Bank runs are also a thing that happens, which is why during a crash it's actually not a good idea to have cash in a bank. This can happen with non-physical traders.
And besides all of this miners would always be more profitable than just some PSLV or whatever, so if you were addicted to jew dollar transactions you'd hold physical metal but also trade miners, like many people here do - this would get you the upside from the miners doing a 10x and the physical silver being insurance.

Oh, there's the other part, physical precious metals are just an insurance account with no yearly buy in, you buy it and forget it. If I needed to buy something right now, like a hot water heater or a car, I'd go to the coin store, cash out however much I needed in about 20 minutes, and I'd have said thing I needed. I could put a new roof on my house and pay in cash, or get a car no financing no paper trail.
>>
>>61632994
I can put physical silver between me bum-bums. Can you do that with your ETF's?

People who don't understand fundies, there were people who sold at 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and now 80, they did it all the way.
They bought a physical asset and didn't understand the fundamentals because fundamentally they were jew paper traders, if you actually knew what was causing the price rise you'd never ever sell more than 10% of your stack.

And we were due for a breakout anyway since we crabbed since christmas, this is a breakout with like 20 days of buildup behind it. At some point it can't be tamped.

You're unironically right. I avoided silver because I had to pay 40% premium just to own it, thats why I only bought 79 ounces in total. I have 5 ounces of gold though so hopefully be comfy. But 80% of my net worth is in woke paper assets which is an epic fail.
>>
>>61633463
Why not just buy land or whatever else you want. It's a huge risk that gold will never recover from this. Gold might be used as their scapegoat.
Even if it was a good trade you would be setting yourself up for at least another decade of waiting when you could have spent your silver on other productive assets.

The gsr trade might have worked in the last, but the importance of silver and the uselessness of gold has never been more apparent. This time is different.

Im the author of the OP, bimetalism is not a scam. The arbitrage mechanism in antiquity only worked because there was no free market that would allow the arbitrage to be closed and price differentials to reach equilibrium. Bimetalism is essential to monetary freedom of the masses, but since both gold and silver are also commodities in addition to being money, you cannot set a fixed exchange rate, the exchange rate must be allowed to float. Then, through both arbitrage and bullion movement driven by interest rates, the exchange rates will float evenly throughout the market.

If things ever got that bad where you need MRE's to survive that means the supply chains have broken down. In such a scenario probably 50-60% of the population would be dead within the fist three months of the fall out. The weakest would die first, the elderly, the sick, dependent on medications, and women would be completely stripped of any rights and put into a subservient role or traded for goods. You can't imagine how quickly people would start to die when basic medical care disappears and the grocery stores are empty.

Business as usual for them, they normally do what coin stores do and take a certain percentage, they aim for X profit.
They bought the stock when it was cheaper so it doesn't matter to them that it's better to do something else, they have a business and aren't worried about individual sales.

Basically they're in a 9-5 loop and don't realize what they have.

Hallo, frens. Some changes to the game plan for today because both Mint 1 and Mint 4 got back to me this AM. I won't be emailing any more Mints at this time.
Mint 1 sales manager is at a trade exhibition right now but "wanted to get back to me". They do serial edge number on "open reeded collar". I haven't seen a sample of their finish yet, and they are slow moving on giving partial gilded options because usually they do full plated. If he's at a tradeshow, I don't know how long until he moves on our design approval, and gets back with gilded options.

Mint 4 is moving on this. I have an actual quote draft that has their company logo at the top and Frensmark in the item lines lol. Anyway, they only offer face serial numbering, which we scraped. They don't have reeded edges, only matte blast. The great news is that they are moving to do a "general layout" for approval. The sample they sent me of their finish is, you know, fine. Ill attach a sliver of the image so you guys can see. This person is also touch and go about gilded options. But look, if I get an email from them and they say your designed has been approved, I say I blast over the pre-payment for the dies and go for it. Thoughts, frens?

More suppression would be a bad thing, but it would be an opportunity for stackers.

Woah lets back up. The final design is picrel. What I posted before was grok being a dumbass, i didnt look at it that hard. I was trying to get the black off our latest 3d render because the black wouldn't be on the final round. PICREL is the final design, not F2S. Apologies, but I think we need to retire the render with the black on it. It just isn't what the final would look like.

>>61634067
Yeah, there are several different versions of the stacker. The Apmex version is also made by them too. Then there is the TD version and there is at least one more too.

Can't yet. The pre-sale won't go up until after we find a mint that will make them. Still trying to find a mint that will do it.

I cant imagine past 100 but they will dump a lotta money into suppressing it before that point. Maybe other anons have more exact data

Pretty cool. I've never come across another in person. I try not to buy online if I can help it. If I had to guess, I'd say that greater than 90% of my stack has been purchased in cash FTF transactions. The lion's share of those from brick and mortar shops.
>>
>>61634004
Obviously you see what going on with the market.
Go for it Before it gets crazier. Would be great to lock in the price before $100 spot.
Too bad about the serial numbers , but they're not necessary. Youve seen plenty of anons are ready to buy the design you've show, we know how coins look and that there won't be literal black on it.
Good luck

We all have seen coins from this mint. But I think their custom mint department is different, because they make a lot of different styles, but custom options are comparatively very limited.

Thank you. If these 2 fall through, just how far we've gotten with them makes me hopeful for finding another that will pull through. WAGMI, frens.
>>61634107
The designer and other creatives have said the design we have is final. So, unless they chime in about it, I'm sure we can all accept meme phrases don't follow perfect grammar in any language.
>>
>>61633824
This shit is really funny? Do they even say anything about it?
>>
>>61634148
It's also is the exact design we've been wanting for years.
If anything different is made it will always be open to being surpassed by a definitive version later on. (But I doubt we will ever get another meme round with the direction prices are going, maybe copper rounds?)
Best to just get it done and get it in hand.

We need approval from a mint first then i will run a sketchy ass pre-sale with high premiums, unironically. but im in pmg weeknights 9PST to keep people posted. I told peopel last night im emaliing a bunch of new mints today, but now im not going to do that bc of the move from 4 this morning. ill give the same update today as tonight, but want to catch people up because if we get approval for layout design from mint 4, I'm going to pay for the dies. If it gets rejected then i will send out to more mints.

Agreed. And I take that back, It is very helpful for me to know that Osborne rejected before, but these sales managers from 1 and 4 have seen the design and both have pre-approved it. i think someone said said that osborne had the same thing where sales said yeah cool, and then production was like hell no. that's why it will be interesting to see what mint 4 who is going to get approval will say bc it's not osborne

Are you tired of being beguiled and besieged by vipers and charlatans?
Are you constantly wondering if the people you associate with are honorable and honest?
/SETF/ has discovered the “$ilverpill” through years of being constantly bombarded by degenerates and vipers here on the chans.
The greatest strength of the silverpill is that it’s not only antimicrobial, antibacterial It also now comes in anti-parasitic forms
That's right frens are you having trouble sifting through who's really on humanity's side and who's just really a filthy economic parasite?
Well wonder no more!
Thanks to SETF we now have a foolproof way to determine if there's a filthy covetous jew among you.
JUST TAKE THE SILVERPILL and they'll come to you decrying how foolish your (((investment))) is or how you're to blame for allowing (((them))) to get away with their schemes!
That's right folks, just a simple conversion of fiat currency to Argent pur, and all the little vermin scurry right into your oven, no longer must you find, label, separate, and exterminate in multiple labor intensive steps. No more arduous public works projects building holocoasters. All it takes is just a simple ”$ilverpill”.
