Historic Gold to Silver Ratio, based on mine output is around 15 to 1.Last 10 years its been between 80-120 to one gold.Whatever you think the ratio will settle at, here is a quick reference. In Cad, do your own conversion Gold 6500 an ounce currently15-1 :: 433 per silver ounce30-1 :: 216 per silver ounce40-1 :: 162 per silver ounceCurrent*****50-1 :: 130 per silver ounce*****75-1 :: 86 per silver ounce100-1 :: 65 per silver ounce 120-1 :: 54 per silver ounce The usual for the last 3-8 years has been about 35-40 an ounce, adjust for ratio and inflation, that would 62.5 an ounce today , Canadian. We're double that. What's next fellas? Make a prediction, post stack!
>>61670082It varies with period and location. Some places had lots of silver and little gold, others vice versa. Apparently Egypt had a lot of gold, so for them silver was nearly as dear.

>>61670228it is heartbreaking how many beautiful coins are ruined by the head of some dictatorial reptilian tyrant
Holo is really the best template for random situations. Especially for gold and silver as she is a merchant at heart.
just bought a couple of 1oz silver rounds and a few gold backs off of apmex.they require a purchase to be $500+ now because of high volume. Their website also had some hiccups. Now most of the silver I got was when it was around $30~ an ounce/round.Now I kind of worry since they're over $100 a round. Its starting to get kind of stupidly expensive to stack silver. Kind of kicking myself for not steadily buy some every month...I just kind of dumped in for a few months and that was it back then. But its now like over $100 per 1oz round for silver. its definitely become harder to stack now that the spot price has caught up to the dollar inflation. If my salary inflated like silver did this wouldn't be a problem but this is becoming a worry since if there aren't cheaper metals or more fractional silver things to collect/stack this will mean this given pillar of my retirement war chest will weaken in growth potential.Gold backs are allowing me to build something at these tiny fractions gold but they feel more like collectors items. Sure the gold is inherently valuable but how would one sell these things off later down the line other than as collectables?
>>61670222>Hmm, how much more silver is used today military compared to WW2?Lots. Primarily because there's a lot more powered tech in weapons systems. Previously it was mechanical detonators and unguided munitions. Now everything is smart. The most robust, longest shelf life, highest capacity battery chemistry is still mostly silver based.

>>61670288If you think about it for a sec, everyone is commenting in how much it hurts now to buy.Gold and silver were always some of the safest assets to buy before they started pumping. They are an almost perfect measure of how much fiat currency is being printed recklessly, and we know that this printing will not stop. They are and have always been actual money. If you can afford rent, food and the rest of whatever you consider essential, it is a very smart investment.

If you can play it right and manage your debt to sit at a lower interest rate than the rate of inflation its the only way you can make fiat work for you if you never plan to invest it in growth assets.Unfortunately I think that's only a game the higher tier wealthy can play.
>>61670257I silver a spermacide?

>>61670272nice. i don't think it's ever going to historic ratios because of modern mining techniques. maybe temporarily it will. i predict the ratio will land on approximately 20:1, similar to pre-1913 ratios but not quite there. it may take a while to get there though but i think we will see 200-300 eoy.>>61670287your primary concern should be the plastic peeling up on the corners over time. a tiny dab of glue on each corner edge would be prudent i think. unless you fill the frame completely so that the goldbacks are right up against the glass>>61670302>zoinks! showing your serial numbers will totally allow a robber to pinpoint your location!faggot
>>61670325>>61670327I understand, I bought in when it was 28 and stopped for years. Now I'm kicking myself because I bought more at 70. Guess what now it's basically 100. >>61670512Gold is worth what Gilded has always been worth. Oz necessary to buy land same as it was 100 years ago. Silver has been undervalued by paper markets, and is now doing discovery as the Chinese exchange (which is physical allotment not paper) begins to show its true value beyond the crypto like valuations on the comex. )Gold is always a solid place to store wealth. But its not a get rich quick scheme. Silver was a scheme? Because it was artificially suppressed by paper trades (600 paper claim per one ounce) Gold is....250 paper to 1 real ounce..I think) so we're profiting from the scam collapsing on Silver. Because China is forcing a real price check on it because their exchange demands it actually exists. Buy Gold when you want to store wealth. Buy silver because its a better hobby than stamps or Pokémon cards. God speed
Good times.I'm not sure if either will drop but going to buy more gold soon. And a little silver:)

>>61670558I'm so jealous of this gold it's crazy lol
What's the proper GSR to stack now lads? And what percent of junk do you encourage for your silver stack? Debating what to get when my tax return fiat comes in.
Fucking sucks to have bought near 100oz of silver late but with Trump not going anywhere the small gains should still be of use.
>>61670152Deuteronomy 32:3-5I will proclaim the name of Yahweh. Give our Elohim the greatness he deserves! He is a rock. What he does is perfect. All his ways are fair. He is a faithful El, who does no wrong. He is honorable and reliable. He recognizes that his people are corrupt. To their shame they are no longer his children. They are devious and scheming.Isaiah 1:21-23How the faithful town has become a prostitute! She was full of justice, and righteousness lived in her. But now murderers live there! Your silver is not pure. Your wine is watered down. Your rulers are rebels, friends with thieves. They all love bribes and run after gifts. They never defend orphans. They don’t notice the widows’ pleas.
I'm not sure I understand the GSR ratio. I feel like there's this implication that if gold and silver were mined in equal proportions (1:1) they would be the same price. But they aren't the same, or equally useful. Based on consumption from industrial demand, it seems that silver would be more valuable if gold and silver were mined equally

>>61670638Next time you've got a surplus 5k. Buy a coin or bar. At this point, and for the last 15 years, its a better store of your current paper cash value than an index fund. If you cant surplus 5k for savings, save half and get it next year. Silver is too volatile (historically) for this same principal to apply. Buy silver as a hobby. You focus on storing wealth, in basically most forms, and other people will be envious of you too in short order. Its discipline. And he'll yeah that stack is nice.
