I just blackpilled myself by doing a little calculation...

>I'm organizing my stack and take out some of the constitutional silver I got.

>Looking at and fondling 1951 quarters.

>Hmm I wonder how it must have felt to be paid with these back then. Two silver quarters is more or less $50 today that's crazy...

>Look up 1951 minimum wage: $0.75 an hour.

>Wait... That would mean... Calculate average minimum wage job hours lets say 25 hours a week at minimum wage = $18.75

>So 18 and three quarter ounces of silver earned per week, 18.75 times spot price today of 110 equals $2,062 and 90 percent of that because .900 constitutional silver purity is $1,856 per week earnings before taxes inflation adjusted.

Holy fucking shit we have been so fucked out of our prosperity its not even funny. Even taking into account things were equivalently priced to earnings back then its still ridiculous. If my grandpa who is still alive had magical foresight and saved some of his money from when he was working in a factory in the 50s as physical coinage it would be worth MILLIONS today, even working an equivalent job today and buying precious metals id still never catch up to what he could have saved due to how worthless our money is today. I'm curious about Platinum and the value/usage of it in the future? Is there anything to it aside from jewelry? That's not too different from the vast majority of gold's applications, yet plat has kinda decoupled from gold.

I have some 24k platinum jewelry I bought from Mene a couple years ago. It's gone up 150% in that time, which is wonderful. But platinum hasn't seen the remote gains that gold has had.

>>
>>61745340
Silver price was even suppressed then, which was why when you look at wages post fed creation in terms of silver things get wonky. Think of it this way every dollar is 4 quarters, each quarter has a fixed amount of silver, but the paper dollar itself can be printed. The amount of printing had ended up suppressing silver's price, since the huge amount of dollars made silver change seem less valuable. Though as silver's price went up due to increased production cost caused by inflation of the paper dollar supply, it made silver coinage unsustainable.
The ending of silver coinage and the end of the bretton woods system is what lead tot the price discovery we saw in the 70's for gold and silver. Though that lead them to have to start suppressing precious metals with other systems.

>Well according to a lot of the people here
A lot of people here bought their first ounce of silver last week.

Having 50 ounces might make you the richest person with liquidity on your block in a hyperinflationary currency collapse. At least in the immediate aftermath.

50 oz might buy a small home a low cost region when the dollar dies.

50 oz will buy a functional used vehicle today.

50 oz might be a years wages after a currency reset.

In short, 50 oz may be a lifeline, and may save your life, but it's not a guaranteed life of leisure.

One ounce will definitely get you laid, even today if you don't mind crack whores.

Agreed. That's actually my point.
More people, less land/resources means more competition for those things. The supply-demand curve is immutable, regardless of the state of currency. There is simply no way of accurately predicting how a hyperinflationary sitiation in the US will unfold as nothing of the sort has ever happened before in human history. There has never been a hyperdeveloped technoindustrial society like the US before, let alone one that collapsed. Its collapse will be a first ever of its kind event.
Land/property in cities (if they aren't razed to the ground by feral starving groids) might be cheap while arable country land might command unfathomably high prices. We can make educated guesses, but the funer derails, are unknowable until we arrive.

We can surmise that the population of the USA will be much less after the loss of the welfare state, and one might reasonably expect that the resulting ethic/demographic composition of the America will be radically different than what exists today.

If only productive, non-criminal people are the ones who manage to survive, it will be a much better America of tomorrow.

The cheap farm equipment to pick cotton was definitely not worth it
>>
thank dog.
i got into an ebay frenzy yesterday and bidded a lot on 2x1kg bars. Dont get me wrong, pretty patina, vintage bars. but 6.600 € for 2kg is too much. Was able to take back my bid just now and instead bought two (much less desirable) 1kg Lunar series coins and 3 hindenburgs for just 6.075€. Feels bad but also more money to stock up on stuff now.

In Ogden Utah there's a road called "Wall Avenue" It's named after a wall that taxpayers funded that was built around the community to assist in protection from indian raids. There are plaques around the city explaining the history, and how the indians were "pacified" before the wall had been completed.

Pacified is a very nice sounding word for doing the needful.

Well the military would handle that quickly while shitty areas with no value would become like that but since there is not enough repopulation and stability war lord stages will be very short lived for the same reasons why there will be mass starvation in cities.
The military will have to respond to the midwest basically killing anyone coming near by locking in everyone at the state borders and probably block off the farmlands in places like California as well as normies would seek food and water and loot it all

There's no indicat that hyperinflation is around the corner, it just looks like China will put a large portion of its reserves in gold and leave a small portion in dollars. Considering this, it seems gold may go up 2-3x, but there's no rationale for it to go higher in a few years. The jews have enough tools to prevent hyperinflation, perhaps indefinitely, because they own the majority of things already.

I could use some advice /pmg/
My brother is asking for $15k urgently and in exchange he’d give me 25% of his share of our family home. There are four of us brothers in our 30s and this deal would put 50% of the house in my name.

The house is worth around $230k, but he needs cash fast because he found a house for a good price so that’s why he’s offering it for only $15k.

The issue is that I’d have to sell my entire gold and silver stack to make it happen, and I really don’t want to do that.. Plus I wouldn’t see any real benefit from owning more of the family home until our parents eventually pass away so I’m not sure this is the smartest move right now, especially by looking at the prices right now, maybe few more years and I could get my own place from the investment.. We live in the EU by the way.

I could also sell my whole crypto account and sell my motorcycle too to have around $15k but I don't want to touch my bike either..

Any advice would be appreciated.

Look after your OWN needs first. Houses in most parts of the USA will not be going up in price, but gold and silver will.

He's asking you to trade an appreciating investment for additional equity in a depreciating one. The time pressure is a hint that you're being scammed.

What are the realistic prospects that either of those properties will significantly go up in value if the US tips into recession?

have it all put into a trust and get contracts set up because otherwise you are going to get scammed out of your own inheritance.
Why would you need to buy the family home?
Are your parents selling it to downsize?
Unless you are planning to get everyone vacated and then fix it up to rent its not worth losing out on potential gains.
I'd say sell crypto the cycle is over and everyone is going for PM right now with no stability in sight and true, proven methods being years away due to construction and setting up new systems
A lot of leaders in real estate also say a crash is ready to happen so its a huge risk although most houses turn a profit within 10 years

PMs have much more room to run, so it's a bad deal, but I am a firm believer in helping family. Doing this would result in your kin owning more land (and land is what I intend to spend my own silver on when the day comes), however the discount means that there's a very real risk that not only will your brother not feel grateful down the line for you doing this for him, but he may even decide that you owe him for the discount he gave you. It really all hinges on three things:
>Is your brother a shitbag who takes but doesn't give?
>Do you love him enough to sacrifice your own gains for his success?
>Will your income allow you to immediately start DCAing back in?
It may or may not be the right thing, but you should explore other options as well. Can you take out a loan for all or some of that $15k, or cosign a loan with him? Can't he borrow against his own shared ownership of the family home? If he's worth helping then helping him is good, but don't rush into things. If it's that urgent, though, then don't dawdle either.

Our parents ain't planning to sell it, they just put 25% in each of our names to avoid inheritance tax later on, becaues this is a taxjuice country.

I personally do not believe that. I was talking to a friend that is very high income, and I asked him why he didn't go into precious metals and he explained his banker friend told him that the monetary system was safe and secure.

Asking a realter about the prospects of real estate is like asking a banker about the prospects of the US dollar.

Now while I don't doubt that the real estate situation may normalize by 2036, it would be foolish to presume it will normalize at anything close to the current real values in terms of silver or gold at that time, and there will be one hell of a real estate crash between here and 2036.

Guys, I don’t usually post like this, but I need to be honest about what just happened.

I tried to sell some of my physical silver to dealers, and they flat-out refused to buy it, claiming the current spot price is highly inflated and disconnected from what they consider a real bid.

Ironically, I could have sold paper silver ETFs instantly—but instead I’m now stuck holding physical metal. The dealer who sold it to me last year actually laughed and said, “We have no obligation to buy it back. We sell when we can make a profit and buy when it’s undervalued.”

So here I am: unable to cash out physical silver at spot, despite being told it was the ultimate hedge.

Honestly… why did I listen to you guys?

VAT on silver will one day be remembered as the most self-harming policy failure of a series of fatal errors that doomed Britain into third world poverty.

Preventing your own citizens from owning silver, so that yanks and chinks could buy it all, and price ourselves out of the global market.

People talk about the US gold reserves at Fort Knox and speculate whether it's empty or not,- but it's kind of besides the point. American CITIZENS themselves, have an absolute shit tonne of gold and silver, because they're not being raped in taxes like we are.

They can get approx 300k ounces (10 pallets of 30 x 1000oz bars/per pallet) in one 20 foot shipping container. It costs about $100k for insurance and lets say $50k for shipping and handling. At $20USD/oz delta, that works out to $6 million gross profit PER container. Even subtracting various bribes (taxes and fees) to the CCP "handlers" there's a couple million net per container. Even at a $10 delta, there's a few hundred thousand in easy money. It takes about 50 days so ship cargo from NY to China, so lets say 3 months total from buying at the COMEX to bars arriving in China, ready to be reprocessed into standard Chinese 15kg commercial plates as seen on the cart with that attractive Chinese girl on her phone. >>61745619

Would this be a difficult sell? Been wavering on whether to buy this one with a nice design/personal sentimental value or just to buy an ugly bog standard one that has some company’s logo stamped on it. I want mine to look nice but I don’t want people to be put off by it should I ever need to sell it

youtube lives off views, and it's very profitable to sell PANIC in a crisis.
In fact, that's the reason goldbugs and silver surfers are getting memed on by normies so much, they only know them from TV as "the dudes who think the world will end because a politician farted".

Stop reading jewish textbooks that don't even bother to mention the jew's key roles in the slave trade.

Feather indians were murderous savages that slaughtered, raped and inslaved their neighboring tribes with glee and passion. They were the literal definition of savages, and to this very day in Canada, have homicide rates among their fellow tribe members greater than in many war zones, matching some of the most murderous countries on earth.

Lmao still falling for that march psyop like you all know something the house doesn’t. Delusional. Literally nothing is going to happen and it’s designed for you to be baggies. Silver will be at $50 in march. Knew the top was in when silver was trending on plebbit
>>

I wouldn't have it any other way.

lol the jews waited til middle of night to just nuke the silver market.. have we ever seen a market crash like this during afterhours with no major news?

The only gold designs that matter when selling are Britannias, Eagles or Krugs, everything else is going to be electronically tested given the potential loss if it's fake. Buy it if you like the design but it won't matter when you come to sell.
>>
>>61746215
>Silver will be at $50 in march
even that's 2x from where it started last year. An amazing gain for silver. Historically it moons and then crashes LOWER than where it started

meaning the way it acted in the 80's and 11's it should drop back to $16 and then crab for 20 fucking years.
>>
>>61746200
you're lucky, i ordered a kilo of silver and an oz of gold on wednesday. maybe i can still cancel since it hasnt even been processes yet

Kek, the irony.
Watching your thought process in action is fascinating. You start off with one of your programmed responses, realize it's off-topic, and then try to correct with what you learned from naked nationalist propaganda. The self-awareness is JUST high enough to be pitiful.

Their parents wanted them to go to residential schools. I'm still waiting to see those Kamloops bones.

Since there were residential schools across the country, how do you explain the disproportionately high homicide rates in the prairies, and the 10x homicide rates in the Yukon/NWT where there were no residential schools?

Don't let facts get in the way of your jewish retcon though.

ANYTHING BUT APMEX
PLEASE, they have the absolute worst premiums and highest silver ticker compared to any other dealer. Hero Bullion, Monument Metals, GoldenStateMint, anything but Apmex.
>>
>>61746354
Bullion banks are hundreds of billions underwater in shorts. Hammering the price down and calling a force majeure is their way of rugpulling.

COMEX/LBMA are finished, they don't have enough available silver to satisfy their obligations, and they intend to go out with a bang. Expect $200 silver in Feb.

This is literally the battle of the bulge for the COMEX/LBMA.

It has unique industrial properties, particularly as a chemical catalyst. If, as I expect, the future of energy will rely heavily on hydrogen, platinum will be essential. There is an anon with a hard-on for hydrocarbons that will post hydrogen fud. But some of the world's major players - like Toyota and Honda - are all-in on hydrogen fuel. BUT a global economic crash, which is likely at this point, will set platinum back a decade or two. That's my take in a nutshell.
