I have never touched options in my life and I am afraid of them.
My portfolio right now is 87% index.

Sometimes I have a high conviction trade on a single stock but buying $1k worth of stock in a $100k portfolio doesn't really move the needle if it goes my way.

Does it make sense to enable options trading?
I literally have no idea what I'm doing.

>>61764030
Im out already. Cut my losses when silver was at $105. All the money I lost was what I made on minors in the previous 6 weeks. So sure it stings like hell, thinking "what if I hadn't FOMOed?". But I try to think of it in a positive way. I didn't lose any of the money in my savings account. I just lost "the markets" money. Hopefully I learn my lesson for the future: Dont FOMO (!!!). And dont get too exposed to one specific bullrun (remember rule 1).

Yes. Disregard morons like >>61764084 who have never traded options. What he's saying is equivalent to a cash holder saying "Don't invest in the stock market. You will lose money" because in his head, he has some penny stock speculator.
Likewise, options are only risky if you do short term expiration gambles (never do below an expiry of 2 weeks until you are an ~expert). There is no reason to not buy a 4-5-6 month call on a high conviction stock.

Stop hoarding, start engaging.
Reading snippets isn’t worthless but they only become meaningful when integrated into lived experience. Pick one book, one idea, one project, and follow it through to completion. Learn the discipline of finishing, not collecting.

Curate your media diet ruthlessly.
Quality over quantity. One hour of focused reading or thinking trumps ten hours of scrolling and tagging. Don’t let symbolic knowledge masquerade as real insight.

Experience, then label.
The medieval model worked because knowledge was embodied: monks didn’t just read Aristotle, they lived a life structured around understanding it. You can’t replicate a monastery, but you can ensure your engagement with ideas is active, not performative: write about them, debate, teach, or experiment in your own life.

Detach status from knowledge.
Stop trying to look learned. Learn to be comfortable knowing without showing. You don’t need to posture; the real advantage of knowledge is in how it changes your judgment and choices, not in how it signals status.

Practice slow mastery.
The antidote to hyperlexic extraction is slow, cumulative engagement. Read a book fully. Write your own reflection. Try applying it in real life. That’s the way to turn symbolic knowledge into lived competence.

Changberg is full of biased asia bulls.
Not completely un-useful as most other outlets don’t even really pay much attention to what the asian markets are doing, but you do need to clock their bias every time you read them.
It’s also why they’re sometimes called “doomberg” because they post doom about the west to complement their optimism for the east.
You can read through the bloomberg articles in the lead up to this silver bubble to understand what i mean.

With regard to Sandisk: since they've been an independent firm for less than a year, we have no financial data to tell us what SNDK's fundamentals are -- PE and PEG and EPS estimates and so forth -- and even if we did their insane performance has deformed the traditional metrics to the point of uselessness. We are all driving at high speed in the dark. Do as best you can before we crash, whenever that may be. My best advice is a majority stake in MU and half that much in SNDK, with perhaps a little in MUU and SNXX to act as nitrous oxide for the upside. I advocate trailing stop loss orders of 20% across the board for best possible peace of mind.

Sandisk's guidance for third quarter earnings are $12-$14 a share, or about twice what they reported in late January. That would give them a PEG of just below 1. HowEVER... they lowballed their last earnings report by 100%. They whistled innocently and twiddled their thumbs and said oh, we think it's $3 and change per share. It turned out to be $6.20. Bear in mind they are largely sold out for the year and they know exactly what their earnings are. If they pull the exact same stunt again, but only understate their earnings by 50%, that gives them a PEG of around .6, or almost the same as Micron's.

After pulling that stunt once, one supposes that the day they report *honest* earning estimates is the day SNDK drives off a cliff. Get on a platform that allows for after-hours trading and watch them like a hawk with your finger on the mouse button the day those earnings come in, anons.

prob, whats their match. Do it to their match and then put the rest into a roth, your income isnt high enough to worry about takign the whole 401k limit to reduce taxes.

Don't even ask the question. The answer is yes, it's priced in. Think Amazon will beat the next earnings? That's already been priced in. You work at the drive thru for Mickey D's and found out that the burgers are made of human meat? Priced in. You think insiders don't already know that? The market is an all powerful, all encompassing being that knows the very inner workings of your subconscious before you were even born. Your very existence was priced in decades ago when the market was valuing Standard Oil's expected future earnings based on population growth that would lead to your birth, what age you would get a car, how many times you would drive your car every week, how many times you take the bus/train, etc. Anything you can think of has already been priced in, even the things you aren't thinking of. You have no original thoughts. Your consciousness is just an illusion, a product of the omniscient market. Free will is a myth. The market sees all, knows all and will be there from the beginning of time until the end of the universe (the market has already priced in the heat death of the universe). So please, before you make a post asking whether the market has priced in rate hikes or whatever, know that it has already been priced in and don't ask again.

One way or another. We are guaranteed a test of strength to determine things now. They wont talk it out without it. It could all spiral of course. But what's the point in, investing in that. There's little gain in doom. But a clash is coming. So, Whatever your favourite asset it is that you "stack". Think of it now deeply in terms of how will it perform in this scenario. Look at the supply chains the previous patterns etc.

I will be swapping out my stocks to go full risk on 50% for these picks by Tuesday. If it dives a bit on Monday I will wait. But any sign of strength on all metals. I'm going for it. These tickers had over 300% gains last year or so but I didn't have the balls to keep a significant percentage in them. As they rise as I expect Im selling it all down to grow the risk side.

I see a general resource/commodity/metal boom like no other.

Going into hold mode. The volatility is goin to get so fast. It will be hard to sell tops and buy bottoms. Maybe reposition allocation slightly to fast risers. But the geopolitical situation is baked. It’s a clash. Hold and let the bull run. Care not about massive dips. Hold about 30% in large cap new newmont and majestic but trim it into the list as it blows up. But that’s basically it unless I see some new risers to add to spread risk. Few will belly up but that’s the play.

So MSFT is almost inevitably going to 550 again, it’s just a matter of when right? I’m in a huge position at like a 485 average. If it hits 540, I’m a millionaire. I don’t see how it won’t hit that. Even if it takes 2 years it would seem to make sense to just go do other shit and wait.

Its so easy to make money in america. If you play with options you need to have extreme discipline. Set trailing stops below 15%. Because 9 out of 10 of your trades are gonna be break even or losers. The one that doesnt is the one that will make $5500 in an hour.

Discipline...Options.

remember it. Dont listen to people who tell you not to do stops. If you are buying options anywhere under a 6 month expiration use stops

Some of the most money you can make is in DTE Spy options but again, let your stops work. I made $13,000 one day buying in at 2pm and selling at 3pm without only a $600 buy
>>
>>61766788

> If you play with options you need to have extreme discipline

Wrong. You need to have extreme insider influence or information. Better get to grips with it. All markets. And our democratic options have been rigged for decades. It’s mask off time. Prepare accordingly.
>>
>>61766976
Well if you’re Eastern European you at least have good demographics and faster growing economies than more western countries. America can vary quite a bit in terms of opportunity and the kinds of people you are surrounded by, it really all depends on where you live. People living the lifestyle that guy has I pity personally, since so much of their existence is just so mind numbing and based on materialism. I get to work remotely at least so I don’t have to wake up early to commute and sit under fluorescent lights all day.
>>
>>61767273
Or just you know...have extreme discipline and you know...not accept 10%+ loss. It is what it is. Dont get emotional about it

Understanding options is fundamentally the only way to get rich quick anymore

I dont disagree with your part about inside information. Saw something years ago that 50% options buyers are insiders with info while 30% were people hedging. The balance were just normal traders

Sure I'l blogpost.

I'm WMT anon. I graduated compsci 2012 (intending gamedev) and didnt make any meaningful professional connections, didnt want to move to Toronto or web dev online, so I took a break for 2 years. Then I kept my head down and worked at WMT for a decade (10 yr was December). My store loves me, I get PT hours, and I live well within my means. Paid my debt off in 18 months. Today I have about CAD $140k net worth, with about 224 oz silver. I'm 36.

I also complained about Crohns disease itt a few times. Been dealing with a bladder fistula for 4 years, the last being vert debilitating. Had surgery 10 days ago, still cathetered but healing well. Minimal gut loss, didnt need an ostomy bag.

I'd say whatever you do, make sure you're happy and it's sustainable, andbsurround yourself with kind people

I think copper and silver still have good upside, fundamentals havent changed. I did take profit on silver before the dip. Might rotate into it again but I'm gonna get some leaps on HL. Heard TECK is a great play too - in both cases for zinc

FX trading on the daily is pretty comfy with TA. I blew a $200 account to $0 three or four times. My broker allowed 100, 200, 500x leverage I think

The funny part is the author basically did all that shit (and more)
>>
>>61768151
of course if you take a risk so that the bad outcome results in something you can shrug off its fine, but the unholy levels of greed and leverage that went into the moves that manga shows and its consequences are pure nightmare fuel

So participants can cause irrational prices in the market ? Are you retarded or something ?

So what's the play for Monday? What we buying?
>>
>>61768189
Yeah. I mean a lot size is $100k currency units, down to $1000 micro lots. Retail doesnt swing that so they take on lots of leverage.
CFDs are pretty cool, but if you dont know what youre doing or have that psychology or risk management dialed in, you lose your ass

Like you said, gotta shrug it off. Treat it like a marathon

the participants have errors in judgement, the market as a whole cannot be "irrational", don't generalize the system with human conventions

Reddit is better than this website by miles

The upvote system lets you see the best content first and filters out the rest.

Plus Reddit lets you sort comments by popularity, that way I'm always guaranteed to see nothing but the best content, as chosen by the community.

Here's it's just "first come first serve" like some disgusting rural cafeteria. I want my web content catered and curated, thank you very much.

4chan is just an endless stream of shit by comparison.

You probably all come here because you're failed Redditors who couldn't get any upvotes with their r*cist trash content.

As we speak I have 3 different Reddit threads on the front page of their respective boards, bringing me many thousands of upvotes each hour.

Feels good to be a successful Redditor and not an outcast like you bunch of chuds.

This toad stares so deeply into my soul
The concern etched into his face is merited, I am no saint.
Does he have a name? I want to thank him personally.

Life is so freeing when you stop taking the crazy pills. The crazy pills that is, the ones that make you crazy.

You'd think the panickans would've learned from faggotretardsoldtheliberationdaybottomfora-40%returnandneverrecoveredbecausehesagayloseranon who posts his portfolio here occasionally, but I think some people here are addicted to being histrionic women that like losing money making emotional trades.
