Very prudent. By the way, I note with interest that Micron's PEG ratio is minutely lower than it was last week. That means industry consensus on their next earnings report has gone up, which is an encouraging sign.

Sandisk has no fab / business cycle for me to time what demand looks like in year.
The fab side of Micron along with its increased capex means you're looking at 2027 for demand to sag, barring the bubble itself going.

>>61775486
I have no idea. However, here's some quick messy math: IF earnings remain stable, which is a good bet, then to achieve a PEG of 1 the stock would have to reach $850 a share. Also, if you average their current and forward PE's together, that gives you a PE of 22; to achieve that, the price would have to go to $750. So... yeah. That's my seat of the pants guesstimate. If the crazy train keeps going into next year, and these new fabs coming online can satisfy demand without cutting profits, then it may achieve low earth orbit. Nobody actually knows. But as long as the PEG is .5 or lower, it remains IMHO the best deal on the market, period.
>>
Just picked up some leddit and mu calls.
Should I pick up PLTR puts?
>>
>>61775491
Based on its most recent earnings report, Sandisk's current PE ratio is around 95, which is astronomical. However, its PEG ratio is .94, which is much more comfortable. Sandisk's guidance for third quarter earnings are $12-$14 a share, or about twice what they reported in January. HowEVER... they lowballed their last earnings report by 100%. They whistled innocently and twiddled their thumbs and said oh, we think it's $3 and change per share. It turned out to be $6.20. Bear in mind they are largely sold out for the year and they know exactly what their earnings are.

After pulling that stunt once, one supposes that the day they report *honest* earning estimates is the day SNDK drives off a cliff. So get on a platform that allows for after-hours trading and watch them like a hawk with your finger on the mouse button the day those earnings come in, anons. Yes, there are potentially great gains to be made, but it's all speculation at this point.

If I had $500k, it would finally feel like I'm with the realm of making it. It's not rich tier but it's the turning point where I could take gambles that generate good returns without risking the whole pile. Ie a 10% gamble that ends up going 1.5x in 3 months is a pretty good return. The same cannot be said when you only have $50k and only risk $5000 only to get $2500 as profit 3 months later. The opportunity cost and the emotions of seeing other things pump might just get to me and I drop the play for something else, after all $2500 after 3 months is nothing amazing. I could make that in a month waging. But $25k? Yeah now that's serious return, the emotions are not so heavily influencing my behavior, it's the point where the action is now low risk to my networth, but a great return on my col requirements.

All I need is one big multibagger on an all in and I could be there but I can't do it guys, risking it all is terrifying but not doing it may result in it taking years to get there! Why can't it be this easy!!!

No, but the stock. Do not go all in. Take the amount you were thinking about investing and cut it in half. Wait until it goes up, say, 20%. That gives you a good safe margin. Then buy a little more. Wash rinse repeat. That's how you make money and shield yourself from disaster.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to invest in Palantir. The company itself is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of machine learning and data structuring most of the tech and its applications will go over a typical investors head. There's also societys nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into a dystopian high tech future- this philosophy draws heavily from Orwellian literature, for instance. The PLTR investor understands this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this company, to realize that they're not just a company- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike PLTR ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the inclination in what PLTRs CEO said when he said, "We believe in augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it," which itself is a cryptic reference to Huxleys magnum opus Brave New World. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Alexander Karp's genius wit unfolds itself on their brokerage sites. What fools.. how I pity them.

Hi anons, Charles Schwab MU-shill here. I've been trying to help you guys make money since last November, and I will persist as long as I feel it will do any good. Look at the low forward PE and the absurdly low PEG. Look at the EPS forecast. The crazy train has no brakes, and there is still time to get on board. Buy a little. Put a 20% trailing stop loss on it and leave it alone. Wait for it to go up, so that you feel safe. Then buy a little more. So long as the PEG remains below .5, it remains a screaming deal.

I know you have that AHHH I DON'T WANT TO BUY AT THE TOP feeling. That's okay, anon. Don't get greedy and don't get scared. Just hang on tight and wait for the tsunami of cash to keep pushing them upwards. Oh, and remember -- you cannot baghold semiconductor stocks. It WILL go back down to $100 or so after the data center craze is over and wander around aimlessly for the next 10-15 years.

Broadcom is nice, but Micron is a much better value. Sandisk plain scares the shit out of me, because there's no data on their fundamentals save a forward PE and phat earnings. None. And even if we did, most conventional metrics cease to function when a stock appreciates 1000% a year. Buy some, but be wary.... and have your finger on the trigger when their next earnings report comes due.

And to answer your question directly, the memory/storage crunch will go into next year and maybe the year after that. That is a certainty. What we don't know is what effect that will have on MU, SNDK, WDC, and all the other companies that build the memory/storage for all these goddam data centers -- on their stocks as financial instruments. Micron has two new huge fabs coming online early next year, and that might break the drought and send their stock tumbling. Or that spare capacity might be gobbled up and send them mooning yet again, as ridiculous as that sounds. We simply don't know.

I've been obsessed with SNDK's valuation this year. From what I can gather, SNDK is 1/3 the size of PLTR in marketcap, but has over 2X the sales. That's kind of crazy, desu.

Sold off my SNDK today, so that means it will probably keep going up. Last Friday scared me though, so I'm thankful to get out. That being said I do have a ton of PLTR from years ago, and it almost seems foolish to keep holding that if SNDK is better value. Crazy to think about.
