You have NO IDEA how many websites and online software applications are only kept running by programmers and sysops people typing on keyboards 24/7 to fix shit as it breaks in real time and meanwhile seriously wishing they were dead. AI has only made it way worse since now slop changes are happening faster than anyone can keep up. Software stocks all took a dive because everyone thinks AI might replace them, but the reality is AI is going to destroy companies products from the inside out. It's already happening.

Tech leads the rally and fall, other sectors are slower and have less volatility.

My play above is contingent on AI buildout and EVs. The next 5 years should be exciting for that. Also copper/silver has a tremendous upside in 5-15 years.

As for the oil, it's domestic largecaps and toolchain suppliers. I'm expecting OPEC to fuck with the US as the Iranian war, as per the 80s. Even if they don't you can see IEZ has had wonderful growth

but hardware is doing better than anything. it's really not that simple of a story babe. the sector might be lagging but tech is still the hottest thing on the market, and most of the damage is in software anyways, not the mag 7. that doesn't mean you're wrong, the everything else trade is having a big moment, reassuring because the economy still isn't too great. but i still think tech overall and ai specifically is the best place to invest right now.

i think amazon was the first stock i ever bought
i had 10k of amazon in 2010 and sold it because i didn't want to get a job that winter and i went to thailand instead
i also had some rando stevia penny stock that i wasn't following but it shot up 10x and luckily i happened to check it just a couple days after the peak
and i had DDD because 3d printing was supposed to be huge
actually Texas instruments might have been my first stock. My dad had me by it through computershare in 2010 for some reason. Always thought it was odd how the GME baggies act like computershare is a big secret when that's how my dumbass dad buys stock
and that's the story of how i'm still not a millionaire but at least I don't have a job

The US will do like it always does since the past failed ground wars, never commit to boots on ground and only attack shit holes. These two together make it so there's never any serious threat to burgerland or the markets. They just strike from afar with planes and missiles for a while then go home and nothing ever happens. The only way for this to be a something burger would be if an event occurred that merited boots on ground, like Iranian terror cells blowing up the Pentagon kek and that ain't happening so keep trading and shitposting Lil gup

Reading what is on the regulators website, public information about inside trading. I like to write and take notes so I'm making a list of executives and people making big trades. Then im looking at companies that make a big move like today a mining company is up 33.33% so I start looking at what indicators lead upto that price increase. Most of that info was also public data and the executives also started buying early.

>>

>>
>>61873567
The main difference is the legality. All legal inside trades from a person known to have intimate knowledge from a meeting, government approval, im personally thinking banking, all kinds of proccesses along the way could give different people along the way "insider information" but the aim is that a regulatory body which is then kept upto standard by comparing its performance to other bodies globally keeps track of trades done by people "in the know" as in executive officers, large family trusts, different known professionals with different knowledge etc then makes them publically available by law im guessing. Anyone who tries to skirt this system by telling your wife or friend to invest in this company now or sell now would be seen as suspicious, im guessing law enforcement would work with the regulatory body to keep things above board. There are 2 different types of legal inside trading, a worker or investor who has intimate knowledge of the business and decides to make an investment at a certain time or large purchases from the companys directors, executive officers or the company itself.

If a war happens (not guaranteed) and if it is an attempt at regime change instead of some "we bomb something then you launch some missiles that intentionally kill no one", then within three days of the war starting multiple USN ships will get sunk and SPY will limit down
If the US evacuates its embassy in Iraq I'll take out a large bearish position.
Most likely either nothing happens or nothing big happens, but markets are being entirely irrational about the potential damage and Iran's capacity to inflict serious pain on the US military if there is a legitimate attempt at regime change. Normalcy bias, you'll see it in here too.
