Market is realizing that NVDA is the biggest grifter and will gladly destroy all mega caps by pushing their bullshit chips

Because insiders have been selling big tech for a while now and most people coming into it are retail normies.
The insiders keep on dumping at them, especially on good news when the normoids really flood in.
The stock being stagnant for like 6 months should have been a pretty good clue on what's going on regarding the monetary flows.
Retail is barely keeping it afloat with no ability to push it higher while the big players move out.

Fuck it Wendy's calls in May at a $10 strike seems reasonable. I'll just spend under $40 on options and see what happens. I think a short squeeze is possible I managed to sell and then close a put at a profit of $50 over the past few days so it seems like a good idea.

short interest percent float is over 20, there are arguments for the stock being undervalued, and a shake up is possible in the near future.

I might also add an ITM call or just buy some shares.

intelligence requires reasoning and it's just a neural splat of text. no matter how much you increase the tokens the ceiling of what makes a correct page of text still isn't solved. you have to advance beyond pytorch and then the truth about current AI is revealed that the divine concept of intelligence working on 2 volts in the brain is a very efficient machine out of our tech range

Automation. It used to take 8 million just to get one industrial welding robot to weld a different door. Now it costs under 800K. The problem is that cost is amortized by some big model trained in a datacenter for a several days/weeks, but once that big model is trained the cost to deploy it is smaller than training a robot itself. So build more datacenters to train more models, eventually we will get to the point of oversupply of AI models, that's the bubble bursting point, but the world somehow sucks at building datacenters so right now that's where the market pricing in that difficulty. The datacenters are not the valuable part, its the AI models. Money is divided as to how this datacenter capital will pan out, either it depreciates to nothing or it sticks around because smaller/older AI models will still need to be run (https://xcancel.com/AnthropicAI/status/2026765820098130111).

>all of humanity, warts and all, in an obedient question-answering system

Hyperbole aside, one of the biggest hurdles is not the hardware (HBM crisis, tsmc, datacenters, etc) but getting adoption to people like (you) and everyone else on mount stupid that will need some guidance on how to make AI useful. Obviously shoving a chatbot to hallucinate your excel spreadsheets is not the correct strategy. Sort of how the hype around clawdebot was just how simple it was for normies to interact with it once its set up and all the weird projects that came around hooking those bots together. I think most consumers still want something like a smarter Alexa/Siri, the only challenge there is making sure it doesn't call out the Jew or say nigger (which is very hard for a stochastic parrot to consistently do) .

Accounting and law are things that llms can probably do reasonably well but won't be replacing humans due to needing someone to take the blame for potentially catastrophic fuckups.
Same with healthcare where AI might suggest a possible diagnosis on things like xrays but a licensed doctor will still be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
There are few jobs where AI is both good at doing it and not a legal risk.
