I creditmaxed 2x 10oz bars and it feels sad knowing cheapies are gone. I knew this day would come where $20-30 silver would look absurd. Even if silver has room to grow, that doesn't change the silver purchases in relation to my income. Life was so easy when silver so stupidly cheap.

I made so much money on silver these last few months. You've wasted so much time seething here and you still can't acknowledge the run from $50 to $120?
I went ahead and requested my 401k to be cashed in. This is probably the last chance for people to cash out their fiat dollary doos and lock in some real wealth.
Just look at these tweets. If the banks are fleeing dollars for metal it's time to hunker down for the next monetary reset.

Fortune favors the bold, and I think it is axiomatic that the ONLY way things can play out is that the masses as a group will be the ones to get fleeced. So if that is true you can't play it safe and hope the government or Wallstreet will protect you. We can see what the banks are doing and I think it is wise to pay very close attention to these "dollars" that we have lived our whole lives trusting.
I will never forget how offended and bothered IQ Dalit was by you cashing out your 401K. He is normally rather tone deaf to everything but he made a special point to try to mock you. That's particularly telling that their biggest fear is people's fiat-dollary-doos are simply not supposed to be chasing after real-world resources. Anything substantial that you can buy is often a renewable/consumable, a service, or a leveraged purchase such as a house or car. Taking ownership of metal is one of those secret offramps even a lot of wealthy people might not consider because they trust the banks will be able to protect them. When in actuality they can only protect themselves by revaluing gold. If you don't own the gold you end up being the victim of the fiat fallout.

I have so little silver that if I buy just 20 ounces for 1800€ my average €/oz goes from a somewhat healthy 15€/oz to a risky 47€/oz.

I just can't believe it. Silver always fell down to previous prices after such runs, gold didn't. If I buy more silver and my average price per oz goes above the floor I'll be SOL until the next bullrun, meanwhile If I stay lower it's always a gain if I ever need to sell it.

If it's held by someone else then they don't own their silver. The only way to secure silver is to physically own it with no intermediary involved. And the only way you can do that with a 401k is cashing it out, paying the taxes and penalty and buying silver with the proceeds.

daily updoot on the Tinmaxxing project :
Got myself an infrared thermometer to make sure i'm not going over 300°C (otherwise the lead would melt too), and the pair of metal scissors was dropped by amazon today.
Played a bit with it, it's relatively easy to get through tin, but man it will be a lot of work, my grip strength will increase by x10 by the time i cut all my scrap into bits.

Also ordered another 40kg worth of scrap off ebay, with an average cost of $11/kg before shipping, $15-16/kg shipping included. Better prices than the past few days because i took a bit of time haggling and searching for alternative keywords (tureen, veggies dish, etc..).

The first orders already are showing up, picked up 13kg from mondial relay this afternoon. So far i ordered approx 100kg of tin scrap for 1500€. End goal is to turn those into 50€/p kg bars, so a bit over spot since it crashed today lol, but far below than what you can shop around from metals oriented shops online (often in the $100/kg ballpark).
No idea how liquid it will be, i'm not expecting for it to sell fast, but if i can sell one or two bars per week i'll call it a win.

Now i've ordered all the tools i need, just waiting for the pouring beak pan to show up and start baking. Spent a total of 60 bux for all the tools, so it's really affordable compared to what you need to smelt silver or gold.
>>
Also, a bit of a heartbreaker, but to help me identify the hallmarks i'm not familiar with i used grok a lot. And it turns out most the old scrap i'm getting are from the 1600s/1700s. I can't make my mind around destroying flatware who survived 300-400 years, but all those old ones are filled with lead and antimony, so they can only be used for decorative purpose. And the market isn't existing for them around here.

Thing is, i'm sure some burgers would be interested in owning medieval/renaissance flatware, but with Bloumpf tariffs i can't send them to the US..
I feel a bit like those sandniggers who were blowing up old buddhas and zoroastrian statues..

No. No its not even close. Your first mistake was buying anything that is not minted by a modern government and backed by one. You shouldn't have blown your money on old junk meme silver and old gold that no one will recognize. If you ever try to pay someone with any your coins, you will be laughed of the room and probably arrested for fraud. Next time just buy a silver eagle, or a gold eagle. Get real, bro.

True, but it still is somewhat rare and was used as the poor's man silver. It's 30x rarer in the earth crust than copper, and x30 time more abundant than silver, so it's sitting right at the middle.
Funnily enough it also is used in complement to silver in it's most common applications : solar, EV, batteries, electronics, soldering. Both metals are used in tandem in a lot of industrial applications.

Junk is probably going to surprise us all when it becomes unofficial circulated money again. The biggest concern for banks will keep the tax cattle using their fiat dollary doos and NOT finding some other means of storing and exchanging value. America will never be able to inflate a bubble as big as we have today. The takeaway to teach your grandchildren and great grandchildren will be to never EVER stop stacking.
