It’s so obvious physical price paid by actual tankers is $115-135. It’s like if gas futures to fill up your damn car were trading at $3, but you know damn well you’re paying more at the pump. The paper contracts will catch up to that by the end of the month. That’s without shit getting worse too.

They went from launching over 350 ballistic missiles and 700 drones on the first day to barely 25 ballistic missiles and 70 drones yesterday. It's a meme war at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Kharg island gets completely annexed or held hostage as part of negotiations.

Everyone was convinced Bibi was dead all weekend with millions of people on /x/itter posting it, but he is alive thank god, so we're not terminally locked in to a forever war which we would have been if Iran martyred him.

Trump said some things, as we know he's effectively telling everyone nothing he says is going to mean anything, and that they should stop asking he's not going to talk about his plans.

The only real interesting thing is that Trump has been basically absent all day today and hasn't tweeted in over 24 hours. Perhaps he is in negotiations.

It is the right time for it, Israel says it is about to call up half a million reservists to move into Leb. This would naturally be (one) of the times to make a deal.

Not saying AI isn’t the solution, the buildout happened too fast, the Middle East money financing buildouts can’t sell their oil and is during up. If you look at the dot com bubble, companies went broke laying fiber cable and building data center. Strait of Hormuz update
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SELRtaciaI

>Hormuz still mostly closed (3 ships per day moving through compared to 138/day average, most traffic is Iranian crude)
>12 non-Iranian ships (10 Greek, 2 Chinese) ships have crossed since the start of the conflict
>GNSS/AIS (navigation) interference still happening
>No incidents in the past 72 hours
>Critical risk in the gulf and near SOH, high risk level regionally
>No confirmation of mining
>Gerald R Ford carrier mission in the Red Sea is likely tasked with defending the Saudi Yanbu oil relief line
>International coalition to escort convoys through the SOH has failed to materialize
>2 out of 3 of America's LCS anti-mine ships are not in the region, they are currently in Malaysia idle, likely to link up with the amphibious assault group being mobilized from Japan.
>Political leadership is not pursuing pre-written war-plans in case Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, they are planning to deal with Iran's military and the SOH crisis sequentially rather than in a combined effort.
>Insurance issue is solved, traffic can flow even under fire if the US can prove the strait is not mined or threatened by sending warships through
>The point being that, if the US is afraid to its warships through, the risk level is obviously extremely high for unarmed tankers and cargo ships.
>>
>>61988235
>>61988261
The best part is, if, and that's a big if, there's z coallition, it's not to escort ships next weekend or some shit.
They'll only agreed to escort AFTER the Iranian coasts are secured. Which is the most critical piece of information Trump and his cronies are omissing just to desperately pump the markets.
This is so fucking sad at this point. Oh, and what's more sad is how the clown market will buy it.

We just need to realize Iran has the oil market in a checkmate and there is full all we can do about except let prices rise so domestic producers who process shale and what not can ramp up production. Just accept $6 a gallon gas and move on.

We cannot be fighting a war based on where traders think a line on a chart is going. This is fucking retarded. If we aren't prepared for consequence we need to just stop and leave Israel to finish it

China is not immune, just probably the most insulated among major economies.

>you think coal prices will stay the same when the rest of the world bids it up in search of cheaper alternatiaves to oil
Coal is not an immediate substitute to oil. A machine that runs on oil will usually not run on coal. Oil not widely used in electric generation anymore. To use coal for transport requires huge electrification investments that take years, or huge investments in coal liquefaction that also takes years.

>you think plastic is made from coal
It can be. I think China is the global leader in coal-to-alkene capacity.

Higher oil price will hurt the petrochemical industry, but it hurts everyone equally, so there is no competitive advantage provided to anyone.

By april 1st some 11% of the world GDP will effectively be offline or some sort of turmoil and the biggest repercussions will be the products they make and export here will be majorly effected. Japan is the most vulnerable. Its down to about 5 days of oil

first off, money is a liability. in order for infinite money to be used, it needs to show up in someones bank account. if they do something with that money that the bank can't do internally, they send that money to another bank that can and have to send equivalent assets to go with it.
but banks don't have infinite assets, so it would collapse and the creditor with infinite money wouldn't even be able to redeem it.
if infinite money actually existed, you wouldn't be able to hold even a fraction of a penny of it.

secondly, futures can only be shorted when there are futures available from someone lending them to you to sell. not only are there very few people willing to lend out their futures contracts, you have to cover when physical delivery is imminent. the treasury cannot and has never broken these basic rules
>>
>>61988733
The price has to catch up with reality by the end of the contract term, it’s only a short term play they can do. It will catch up my the end of the month.

>>61988744

>>61988733

>>
>>61988744
infinite money exists. the treasury presses the sell button on oil completely naked and they do it with money that isnt minted or accounted for, and they can outpace any buying of the futures because they have infinite money to short with
>>61988745
oh no it doesnt, infinite money nigga

>A top aide to President Donald Trump said the Pentagon estimates the Iran war, now in its third week, would take between four and six weeks.

>Kevin Hassett, head of the White House’s National Economic Council, offered the timeline along with a caveat that the ultimate decision on when the war will conclude lies with Trump. He was among several administration officials on Sunday asking Americans for patience as energy prices spike, saying the goal of eliminating Iran as a threat in the Middle East is worth it.

looks like oil price has stabilized for now, maybe now forming a top.
S&P bouncing up a bit on the futures, but the overall trend from the last month is still down
oil prices stabilizing or even just going down and staying down will give a breath of life, ESPECIALLY to international stocks, but I think the stock markets will continue going down, as they were going down before the oil shock anyway

but then again, we all kinda knew america was sending aircraft carriers to iran, so maybe the stock market was trading down based on the possibility of a special maduro operation???

hard to disentangle these 2 things. oil up, stocks down. but I think stocks will still go down even if oil goes down again. and a 2022 style bear market, year long grinding down about 20% and "not that bad" but still bad.
trump will declare it a vibes-cession

not sure about ahead of schedule, but the us military will keep hammering iran into the ground until they have given it a good shot
And we're nowhere close to the full power expected. that might peak in like a week or two, as the third aircraft carrier shows up and possibly if other nations decide to start attacking iran. and it will likely get less and less in about 4 weeks maybe sooner
at that point, trump will be searching for an off ramp, more and more

If they can't physically deliver they have to pay spot replacement cost rates which are right now like $30-40/barrel ahead of the futures price

very unlikely
we're going to be done this week.

there's only so much shit you can bomb. if some fag wants to build model airplanes with gunpower strapped to them in his appartment, there isn't much that can be done

the us isn't going to support attacks on apartment buildings etc etc, thats not good for America or israel if it doesn't want jew hating dems running like madhami running the show for the next 8 years.

the things which can be bombed have been bombed, 8 aircraft carries is something you do for shipping confidence, not because there are dozens of factories as yet un-beheemed.
>>
>>61988778
I just report the chaaart I see, saaar

The oil futures chart looks just like silver kek
Big spike up, followed by bear flag. now we stabilize
and possibly top

though the physical oil meme boys are coping, they are still right that physical oil is... physical, and bombs going off can still send the price higher
silver doesn't exactly work that way
So oil price can still go up! can't get too excited about shorting it. but yeah looks like price is going down from here. with maybe a few dead cat bounces

but the final price won't be at pre-war or antebellum levels. probably stabilize at like 80-90 for a while. we might not see 50-60 for quite some time, 6 months or more.
>>
>>61988755

>>
>>61988791

I'm shorting oil my dude
america will win the war, iran is getting blasted into dust
and at some point, hormuz will open. not because america is winning however. they can't really force iran to stop firing drones because there are too many and it's too easy
but rather because iran and america will both seek an off ramp, both will declare victory
they already are stepping away from hardline stances.
>>
>>61988797
>very unlikely
>we're going to be done this week.
>there's only so much shit you can bomb. if some fag wants to build model airplanes with gunpower strapped to them in his appartment, there isn't much that can be done
there are still many many things we can hit. Haven't even gone after the IRGC "police stations" to support rebellion yet, or the nuclear sites again in full. Those are the stretch goals.

We still have thousands of bombs, and the 3rd aircraft carrier still hasn't shown up yet
and we haven't tried the rebellion plan yet. That WILL be tried, even if it lasts five minutes and fails horribly. hopefully it works but we'll see.

The 3rd is already in the red sea, the 4th will probably chill in the gulf of Aden or something, and we will have a heavily monitored ceasefire.

All of those will be there to protect shipping, which is a bit of a meme, but it'll make people feel better and that they can trust the ceasefire.
