Israels army is one third the size of Irans army.
Plus israel has massive weapons of mass destruction, the latest technologies, the biggest airforce and tanks.
They don't even need america to be involved with Iran, israel can beat them on their own. Israel has a 300k standing army and it never takes casualties.
This is incredibly bullish actually.
The only bearish thing would be americans messing around when Israel already has 300k supersoldiers with unlimited F35s.

Maybe you will one day wake up and realize you are in pretty much the same camp that said we would run out of oil through our consumption of it 1990. Spoiler, that didn't happen. In fact we have a greater supply even. We might get food shortages but oil is not in a shortage. Consumer spending habits will change but this will all fit into the new world agenda of carbon taxes and forcing the goyim to eat more slop and bugs. In other words it's already been priced in you stupid faggot.

Kek, I called up my female stock broker and told her I want to purchase even more shares of SOXL. She questioned me if I was really comfortable taking on that amount of risk since it is very volatile right now and I immediately told her that I believe in David SOXL. She paused and then informed me that David SOXL doesn't really exist. Pausing for a brief period over the phone, I held back my initial rage to her disbelief but then laughed incredulously at her ignorant remark and called her a silly bitch before hanging up. Female stock brokers are such silly creatures and any advice they give is not to be taken seriously.

Well, it's not necessarily about the whole world falling apart. I have some faith that we can cope with it. It's more about just the stocks shrugging the innitial shock and trucking along like nothing's going on, when nothing's been resolved yet and we're looking at endless "2 more weeks" cycles.

It doesn't matter that much to me and current scenario is nicer than a full on panic crash, but it just seems way too consequenceless.
>>
>>62161130
We have had a lot of crises that spell economic doom but the market always shrugs it off because people find a way to cope and kick the can further down the road. It then gets priced in followed by the money printer going brrr and the system of infinite debt continues. Soon when everything becomes digital it will all just be numbers on a screen.

RR & AT are two british stocks that will benefit from renewables, RR makes small modular nuclear reactors and is soon to close a contract with Swedish gov for some.

AT (Ashtead Technology) is an offshore specialist equipment leaser that provides expensive equipment for both offshore renewables and offshore oil so it wins even if the North sea licenses get expedited and drill baby drill becomes a thing under Labour.

The strait is a pretty massive logistical chokepoint, whose closure restricts the flow of difficult to replace materials and other resources, including its derivatives and even if they could be replaced, there's the simple fact that the price of oil increased heavily, which inflicts an inevitable fee on top of pretty much everything that won't go back to before the closure anytime soon. But yeah, on some level it's just numbers on the screen.

There is increased productivity from AI but there's no increased demand to match it, which means AI is actually shrinking the economy instead of expanding it. Yes, and that was overblown considering Russia's oil productioncapacity and ability to divert sales to India and China. Now there really is oil not being produced and shipped, and not just Iran's.

And it had a month's long impact on the market. The difference back then was the Fed raising rates as a response. Now they won't do shit. That's the only thing the market cares about, the interest rates.

AI makes you finish your weekly work by Wednesday instead of Friday. But instead of doing more work on Thursday and Friday, AI makes the company fire 2 out of 5 people so the weekly work done is not increased.

Yeah if it was one farmer. Assume he has 2 guys under him that produce the wheat, he fires one of them and forces the other guy to use the tractor to produce 300 tons. He could produce 500 tons if he didn't fire the other guy, but there's no demand for the extra wheat.

Except in this scenario the tractor company doesn't make money selling tractors, and the quality and the cost of the tractor is decreasing to save money while the company prays demand doesn't go down

The the problem tech bros don't want to admit. We have this massive demand because AI is being sold at a huge loss. If price increases demand will fall. That's basic economics. So hyperscaling companies are operating at a loss and just hoping they can keep this going long enough that AI will have developments that make it profitable enough to justify the costs

but each new iteration gets more expensive and as we've seen with open ai the new versions are disappointments

That is not how the interesting/productive part of the economy works. You are talking about this from the standpoint of like a local grocery or utility company or boring accounting firm which last had a new client in 1998, all of which can't grow much more.
But many firms are actually not that. They do have room to expand. Why would these lay off workers just to save money? That makes no sense. Most founders and shareholders want to get rich, they don't just want to make a daily wage. And they run the company because they believe in what they're doing. So why would what you said apply? Rather, this additional productivity they gained will simply be reinvested as more leverage.

I can't see any companies investing for more leverage. Do you see them? The only companies investing are Nvidia, openAI, anthropic etc, and they produce the AI. All the other companies have to do is use the AI to make more money. But the other companies want to make the same money. Facebook is firing 10k because they don't want to code more.

It's not 50% supply being gone. If it was oil would be sky high. The biggest issue at the moment is paper and physical oil have a spread of $40+. And eventually that will converge to physical this year

It expands all the way down.

Yeah I know way too well, I'm German myself...
Talking to those people is impossible too, they think you need a literal large countries worth of space to store nuclear waste and they think it's insanely expensive (despite France mogging us with like 80% nuclear somehow???) by using only stats from Germany (where it was intentionally mismanaged).
It's just sad, they even hate on Fusion by association just because they're both "technically nuclear", it's genuinely frustrating to talk to those people even if you completely agree with them on what goals to achieve.
Sometimes I wonder if a lot of them are just renewable energy shills and that's all.
>>
>>62161453
>renewable energy shills
I mean, someone has to pay for them to be a thing
I guess they unironically get some money from russia and the us oil and gas industry too

The cause of this war is South Korea.

South Korea is famous for Samsung and K-pop.

Because South Korea smuggled strategic materials into Iran, Iran was able to acquire weapons of mass destruction, including biological weapons.

>>
Just face the music bears. Its a new paradigm. Stocks only go up now, never down. If you want to make money you buy and hold.
>>
>>62161499
The problem isn't using Solar Panels, they're not bad, they're just bad if that's all you do (while reducing coal, gas AND nuclear) when nuclear is right fucking there.
>>
>>62161468
isn't nuclear more expensive than renewables? maybe it was more economical in the past, but now that the industry scaled up it's probably smarter to just go all in on renewables

America puts the solar panels in the desert just like China. Europe moving to solar is so incredibly fucking retarded.

The amount of times I've had to explain this to a europoor is truly baffling
>>62161506
Nuclear is more expensive to create but lasts for 60-80 years so is a better payoff. Literally the exact type of investment a state planning for the future would embrace. Even the best solar panels struggle to get past 30 years of life span. But for short term politicians elected for a decade or two they don't care.

All of the politicians in Germany or America for example will be dead before all the solar breaks.
>>
>>62161511
You want to know what I think boss?
>>
>>62161506
Initial investment is but once you've built them maintenance isn't that bad (especially modern ones), plus NPPs don't have the problem where they're cyclical and just always pump out steady energy.
It's why France has such cheap energy, the NPPs they built years ago just churn along.
Plus of course if you brand yourself as a "futuristic" political party but refuse to invest anything into Fusion research it rings pretty hollow.

Renewables also just eventually hit diminishing returns, once you've build Solar Panels and Windmills in the best spots first it becomes worse and worse efficiency wise the more you build, because you're going to build in the best spots first of course.
