>>62250624
Society would be much better if we got rid of certain people. Turning them into diesel fuel would just be an added bonus because the whole economy runs on diesel so instead of being a negative on the economy these certain people would become an important part of the economy. Lets take a minute to look at the life cycle of some grain. So the farmer plants the grain right, there's a ton of diesel fuel right there running the tractors plowing, and more fuel trucking in the fertilizers, and then when it comes time to harvest that shit there goes more fuel. Then the grain has to be processed, so there's more fuel trucking the grain to the processor, plus the fuel to run the plant, then they put the flour into trucks again and use more fuel to send it to a bakery, who turns the grain into fresh bread, and then they have to use more fuel to truck the bread to the grocery stores, and then you use fuel to get to the grocery store. So it's like just to have a slice of fresh bread, that shit had fuel priced into it like 5 or 6 fucking times. If we just turned the niggers into free diesel fuel, we could have cheaper food boss.

likely way over priced, bankers need to recoup their expenses plus make a shit ton of profit so price will spike and after a while (day, month, year) price will tank on bagholders. If business is still profitable then maybe invest at lower better price. But starlink will get its ass beat by ASTS.

Anduril?

>2008 crash was due to subprime mortgage lending and credit default swaps
Partly, the banks and brokerages were over leveraged and used MBS as top tier collaterial for overnight repo 105 loans and when the number of mortgage defaults were destroying the MBS credit worthiness then none one would accept the garbage as collateral, therefore no loans, therefore the ones that needed the loans were in default and could not meet financial requirements and did not have the cash to pay, they collapsed and started a cascade of defaults. There was panic in the repo markest Sept 2019, still not sure exactly why, I think some big US banks had too much exposure to Chinese real estate bonds and could not use that garbage as collateral so the Fed had to step in and lend to keep the system afload. Early to mid 2020 some of the biggest Chiese real estate developers went BK. There is far far more leverage in the system, its designed to implode if not saved by tax payer money and bank bailouts.

Ok, the yields explode upwards. Oil is up. Market barely down. I'd be cautious shorting this piece of shit. I've already been burned by it. I'm going to try make money otherwise.

Macro doesn't matter, that's what I've learned in 5 years of trading. It's literally irrelevant. Only thing that matters are interest rates (set by the Fed, not yields) and earnings. If earnings do not collapse, everything else is irrelevant. High inflation? Pumps the market even higher because the Fed won't act. Only deflation would fuck it, every other inflation, mid to high is fine. Only like +7-8% could lead to a hike, but how much is that gonna hurt the market? Not much. Companies seem to be always winning, that's how the game now works. It's not 2008 anymore.

A stop order is an order to close your position. It can be a stop loss (below your entry, or above your entry if short) or a take profit stop, which is above your entry ,or below it if you're short. A stop could also only be for part of your position though, rather than all the shares you own. Protip, shorting the market is typically a lot harder to make money than going long. Do tons of research before trading single stocks and even more research before trying to day trade

Because "making money" is just an idea.
Every retard wants to "make money" but how?
How much risk are you willing to take?
What percent of the account do you need to remain liquid?
Are you going to buy well known companies, or take a chance on smaller ones?
Will you spend time to research individual companies or just read the basic news?
Where do you even get the information on a company?
What are the companies futures plans? And their track record?
How do different markets impact each other?
Do you want to make dividends?
What are the tax implications of your trades? What tax bracket are you currently in?
I usually just tell people to dollar cost average (ie buy a bit more every paycheck) into major ETFs like SPY/QQQ/SOXX and then never look at it, most people shouldn't be trading.
You WILL underestimate the psychological effects, no matter how long you trade. ANd don't even think of using options until you've had at LEAST 3 years of experience trading.

Yes, but its not always 100% going to work. If you sell covered calls just before a big rally like we saw recently, then you'll lose out on a lot. It will prevent you from going red though, so if youre risk averse and ok losing out then its still a win.

We've entered late stage stock marketing. Where people are now just completely aware of things being bubbles, companies not being sustainable, and the fact things should be going south, but trading as if things were perfectly fine fucking up anybody trying to make sense of the stock market. Every bubble takes longer than the last one to pop because the previous one messes up future expectations causing an ever cascading effect.
People now just assume things like strikes will blow over and that they should buy the dip. What should be bursts just becomes holes to inject more air into the bubble somehow. The AI boom started over 3 years ago. The Dotcom Bubble was said to last 2-5 years depending on when you start considering it a bubble. The reality is the internet was still the hugest invention in existence and that tech and the internet was the future despite that bubble burst. Some people believe it will be the same for AI, no matter what happens in the near future.
Another issue is literally anybody can fucking invest now, even children. The entry barrier is literally downloading an app on your phone and having a bank account now. We're hitting bagholder saturation that might weather even the fiercest bubble pops due to sheer population of investors. A literal teenager has all the time in the world to hold their bags.

Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

I accidentally did a deposit from ibkr to a wrong account of mine, and they did a courtesy early deposit for me.

but the deposit failed because it was the wrong account. But after I got the deposit, I immediately invested it. After the deposit failed, I'm suddenly using $20k in margin

So I sent another deposit. Now they've got my transaction of hold and I won't be given funds until the 26th. That'll be a week that I'm using 20k in margin because my account isn't fully funded.
