A quick glance at every NVDA earnings date for the last year and a half shows a big red candle the next day. In some cases absurdly big.
>>
why does SP500 pump and dump in big sudden solid candles and most stocks seems to simultaneously follow it?
>>
I have held nvda shares for over a year now and every time after earnings, no matter how good they were, the market hated them afterwards. they somehow beat expectations and the expectations beyond the expectations but its not enough. its never enough. I dont understand what kind of results they are supposed to show.

>>
>>62254439
You're a layer behind in meta thought. You sell when a company is at the height of mooning. For most companies this is after earnings. However, if you can already predict good earnings, then the timing becomes tighter and tighter to the point the moon's height keeps getting cut shorter and shorter. At some point it cuts off to the point of earnings itself and then before it. As huge players don't want to be the one caught without any profits, they sell immediately in the biggest games of grab money ever seen.

Then they immediately rebuy the dip as everybody else has done the same. The average investor doesn't realize they're missing this step, so they always take a kick to the balls when it happens.

>Two giant Chinese tankers laden with a total of around 4 million barrels of oil exited the strait on Wednesday. Iran had announced last week, while Trump was in Beijing for a summit, that it had reached agreement to ease rules for Chinese ships.
>South Korea's foreign minister said on Wednesday a Korean tanker was crossing the strait in cooperation with Iran.
>Shipping monitor Lloyd's List said at least 54 ships had transited the strait last week, around double the number from the week before. Iran said 26 ships had crossed in the past 24 hours, still only a fraction of the 140 or so each day that typically crossed before the war.

I counsel patience. NVDA represents 8% of the value of the S&P 500, and it doesn't report earnings until the market closes... and, as several anons have observed, it tends to dump so that big traders can buy the dip and make money the week after. God only knows what effect this will have on everything else, particularly memory/storage stocks. Hang tight.

People ignore the fact that the 2008 crash was precipitated not by niggers who couldn't pay their bills, but by lower and middle class entrepeneurs who couldn't afford to fill up their trucks when gas spiked to $4.50 a gallon for several months straight in middle-to-late 2006.
All those people who were just holding on, living the american dream of entrepeneurship by just barely making their business equipment lease and loan payments on time lost their businesses and stopped being able to make their mortgage payments.
The sub-prime mortgages were priced in with insurance against their defaulting. It was the "American Dreamers" who owned their own business and had no contingency for when they missed a load or couldn't complete a job.
So you'll see something similar with a crash here, with the high gas prices cascading into it.
