I don't think thats true.
>>
>>62662717
I don't think that matters that much, it's more about the fear of FED getting space to actually hike interest rates as they don't need to concern themselves with jobs that much. I still suspect that all the hawkish talk is just a grandstanding, where the main issue are gas prices, which raising interest rates would do fuckall about and would only fuck up real estate that's already struggling, tech/private credit and US debt management. It's just a hold for now with hope that Don will finally do something about the gas prices, then it's a clear cut.

AI depends upon the sector, but so far it looks good, where I'm expecting one massive leg up in semis towards the end of the year sucking much of the liquidity with MU earning confirming the visibility of the earnings, though there's a question of the Anthropic's balance sheets with its upcoming IPO.

There are still degrees of how bad the debt can be and Oracle's the worst one of them all.
>>62662833
I suspect that we've seen the majority of the software pump and software will mostly crab/dump into semis having another leg up later on this year (they're just negatively correlated for whatever reason), though I think we're way past the software bottom. I don't think there's much of a reason to think that ADBE won't beat, but AI revenue is probably the metric people will care about the most by far.

Could be wrong as that's just my heavy chip bagholder cope, but I honestly think that that's going to happen.

Im an ethical investor.
When he got associated with that whole Israel thing i dont invest in those companies out of principle even if there could be profit to be made.I will look for it somewhere else.
Same reason why i didnt put a cent on Palantir. Its not a high treshold but some companies manage to deliver products that just rub me the wrong way.
>>
I remember when you first fudded intel, i couldnt believe it, it was like getting punched in the stomach learning how much you hated the company, and how every time it went up you would seethe and be bitter, back when we still talked. April first was the last time you really spoke to me more than a sentence, that was like a punch in the gut too, but rigjt after that intel did a 3x and made me rich. So anyways moral of the story is just because babe doesnt like a compqny doesnt mean its not a great investment, do not let her princess complex get in the way of your profits.

Impatient baggies are the best thing about precious metals and miners investing. They know they are supposed to be patient. They know they're supposed to hold and not fuck it up like last time. But it does not matter. The market chops away at their morale. Eventually they cannot take the abuse.

They watch the redditors get rich on the latest meme while their own bags grow heavier by the day. They've had enough and finally sell to chase. It may work out for a few weeks. Then metals and miners recover and break out just as their meme peaks, which only becomes obvious in hindsight. They tell themselves they only need another 20% on their meme trade and will rotat back into metals on the next dip. But the dip never comes.

Metals pump and pump. It is a lock-out move. Their meme trade collapses. Again, they cannot take the abuse any longer. They dump the meme bags and buy back into metals at the peak, providing smart money with the exit liquidity exactly when they need it.

Thank you, baggies.

And obviously, you're not weighting by market cap
because you're rebalancing

When you're pursuing a momentum strategy, do you understand what momentum does if you let it run? You have no alone the compounding that happens with equities, but you have momentum itself compounding, and by weighting the tickers by market cap you have multiple sources of compounding.

It's like giving your portfolio meth. It's just going to accelerate.

I always see Israelis make this argument lol
Those companies wouldn't lose much if they shuttered all their Israeli operations/contracts today (except maybe intc). Certain companies rely almost exclusively in some cases on doing business there. And those companies don't deserve a cent of your money if you want a clear conscious.
It's like that god father scene....it's an infamia. If you want to rationalize it from a purely investment minded framework then consider the geopolitical risk. The IDF and Israeli project are demonstrably unsustainable as a going concern. They only exist because of US backing and that is slowly changing (for real this time) as American voters push back on this issue more and more with each passing day. I would need an ungodly return even as an amoral investor in that retarded welfare sink hole.

I can't do canned stuff anymore. Once you learn how to make soup on the stove you really are just wasting your money any other way.

I love Nongshim ramen though. For the price of canned food nowadays i simply don't see it as a good deal when i could spend a little more on a pack of chicken thighs or even steak.

Rate hike is already priced in. If there's a hike, nothing really happens, indexes down .30%. If there's no hike, green 1%.

War is not escalating in any meaningful way. Iran's economy is in freefall. Oil being at $90 means it's already peaking. No reason for it to go higher.

I remember the shills saying Rial exchanged with USD doesn't matter. I've had access to it since at least yesterday with my basic $20 subscriber account. If you use Codex, update Codex and login Codex. You should be able to select it in your models.

btw, this model is essentially AGI. It's better than humans at almost anything technical. It's as good as a PhD in most tasks.

I don't understand how roblox stock is so low, I do commonly see investors talking not to invest because of the grooming scandals but the accusations brought against Meta show that other platforms have much worse issues, like minors getting sexually solicited three times a week, not just that but the ID verification has filtered a large proportion of bad actors, even with its flaws.
Roblox otherwise has been rapidly growing, generates insane revenue, has knockoff games that do better than the source material, and is about as culturally embedded within society as Monster energy is popular with all types of people. Is this a tard market, because it seems roblox has been undervalued and crashing for no reason.

Seems possible, the yuro defense sector took a dive this week and it's been moving in very weird ways... Meaning lots of money with insider info are in it.... Fingers crossed, it's a very fucked up situation and no one is benefitting from it at this point. Ukraine is done, failed empty state full of crippled and traumatised veterans, millions left and after getting a life in western europe won't go back... And Russia is also degraded and it's now a pariah state that has to suck up to China and India to keep their economy from collapsing, all to get 4 provinces that are going to need hundreds of millions of dollars in investments, money they don't have and won't get from anyone except Xi, so the Chinese will be the ones setting the terms there, again.

See I prefer $80 - $100 Nike trainers that aren't 3 inches of foam on the bottom but I only run 3 miles maybe 5 miles max on any single run. Since the early 2000s I used to buy 2 pairs of the same model to play tennis every 2-3 years, they went from 35€ to 50 then 60... last pair was 85€ it went went into the garbage after only 7-8 months of use.
Adidas still has models with acceptable quality in the 50-70 price range that you can use for more than a years before the disintegrate.

You guys understand that, possibly before this year is even over with, AI is going to be vastly more intelligent than the smartest humans?

It's not hard to understand this. Silicon is just a much better substrate for intelligence than biological neurons are.

Silicon scales
biology doesn't. So you could have silicon brains the size of a solar system, but it would be very difficult to have a biological brain of any signifcant size, nevermind plantary scale.

Neurons communicate slower than the speed of sound. Transistors communicate at the speed of light, and information between different silicon brain can be shared at the speed of light. Humans meanwhile, share information at a snail's pace. And information sharing amongst humans is highly inefficient. Information sharing with silicon is shared at the speed of light.

Portfolio was down like 35% intraday and then a late day truth social post allowed me to make a deal and exit for a 2% winner in the final 3 mins of trading that day. Had I held all week through the Friday expiration it would have been a 250% winner. But I also would have been down 40-60% most of the week until the day of expiry which is why I made the intraday deal, especially after my broker called the police on me. if it goes the same as last breakout it would touch ATH, though I believe the last time pumped harder because of how much it fell before.
What might be more realistic is if it goes past the previous local top to mid 180's before dump/crabbing in prep for fomc rate decision the week after this.
What else might be happening on semis like MU and SNDK which seem to be showing similar patterns and might be forming the cup of a cup and handle, so we might be in for a giga pump if the handle forms soonish.

Skip ETFs. They don't have the concentration to seriously compound. You will need compounding to give you the edge.

What you do is build you a portfolio of 10 tickers maximum. Ideally, around 8 tickers, but 10 is acceptable. 6 is acceptable as well.
Lets just go with 10. It's a good on risk vs reward.

You can achieve effective, strong diversification with only 10 tickers. You could even do it with 6. You will be diversified, as long as you select diversified companies. So no going all in on one sector. You'll need multiple sectors.

Make tech, or tech adjacent like Amazon and Meta (technically retail and communications), no more than 50% of your portfolio. Actually, targeting 50% tech is a good rule to live by. Keep that in mind.

When you're selecting your companies. You're looking for aggressive compounders. You don't need to worry about P/E or other shit like that. What you're looking for is free cashflow and growth, and return on invested capital and balance sheet strength. Find yourself 10 companies, with strong cashflow and ROIC, and be in at least, 5 different sectors. You can throw in a value ticker if you want, but watch out for value traps.

And be careful about correlation. You can have a company like CAT, and you've got a big AI stack thinking it's fine to include CAT because it's industrials. It's not. CAT is on the AI trade just like NVDA is. It moves right with the AI trade. You've got to check correlations. Review them every quarter. If a bunch of your portfolio starts trading together, you've got a problem.

You're looking for companies that invest heavily in their growth, and have high ROIC. Review their fundamentals every year. If they start deteriorating fundamentally, you can swap the deteriorating tickers out for a stronger ticker.

6-10 tickers
big compounders
FCF, ROIC, and balance sheet strength
5+ sectors
monitor fundamentals and correlation

If you pick half at least assed companies it'll beat ETFs. One other thing.
>>
>>62664262
It'll beat ETFs because you're concentrated in 6-10 of some of the best companies in the world. You don't have shit like thousands of zombie companies, or old geriatric companies with no growth dragging on your returns every day. You're in the best compounders and they'll compound much faster than ETFs would.

No AI is going to tell you to not use ETFs. They'll say invest in full index funds.
>>
>>62664282
So you should buy companies with insane P/E ratios, since it means the market is efficient and has priced in its future growth, eg winners keep winning (if you bought NVDA 5 years ago at its then peak, youd be laughing now)
>>
>>62664262
>if you pick the 10 best stocks of an ETF
>it will beat the ETF
HOLY THANK YOU SO MUCH HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT
>>
>>62664110
This is a beyond retarded rumour because if it was under review it would be all over the mathematically community instantly. You cannot keep anything like this a secret. It's pure midwit hours.
>>
>>62664287
I literally said in my post that P/E doesn't matter.
>>
>>62664285
Too bad, that means you write like AI slop. Not reading that shit, fuck off.
>>
>>62664288
Exactly. Do that.

The easier you make it for yourself, the better. You can even copy trade. It's not about the effort you put into it. It's about getting into 6-10 big compounders and letting them run.

Lets hear your advice.

then you'd be pretty much retired
each stock represents a different week of the year.

A trade is an action thats required to invest. 'Invest' is an ambiguous term that is only vaguely distinct from gambling, with the typically differentiating factors being skill and frequency/turnover and assumptions of stylized facts within a given market as continued phenomena. You might say investors have a thesis, but so do traders, even if not driven by fundamentals.

A good 'investor' has high skill/discernment and low frequency trades, a good trader has high skill and high frequency trades. Mathematically speaking higher turnover is better, all else equal, as you can recycle and compound your capital sooner.

It is harder / more elite to be a good trader and most rely on crystal ball level intuitions or just pure delusion and lose all their money. Investing is typically a more conservative and less volatile pursuit. Market makers for example are pure traders.

I decided that I'm going to give you guys a portfolio of big compounders, safe ones that you can put all your money into. I'm serious. I'd be comfortable cutting this list in half and putting all my money into 5 of these.
to go with my post here

GOOGL
NVDA
AMZN
LLY
AMP
AVGO
TJX
AMAT
GE
KO (or BRKB)

You will be safe if you just all in one this portfolio. Just equal weight them. They will be a compounding machine that grinds up in most regimes.

I don't disagree at all, fwiw. 'Gambling' just typically has a negative connotation of pissing into the wind, but it's all gambling at the end of the day, even boglehead style investments as they are simply gambling the statistical facts of the past hold up into the future.

Traders are just the 'fuck around find out' version of this

Terry Tao seeing the writing on the wall here. AI solutions to mathematical problems mostly involve brute force case analysis that is impossible for a human to follow and difficult to derive mathematical insight from. The AI companies aren’t interested in advancing mathematics, they just want the reflected glory of “owning” mathematicians in news headlines.
