What coins are worth grading, if any? I have a 1920's Soviet coin and a Peace Dollar that the seller claimed to be a Scarface.
>>
>>62763316
it depends. you need to know exactly what the coin is and an estimate of its grade, plus if it's cleaned or damaged which will prevent a straight grade, and then check the pcgs pop report for values
>>
>>62763331
then you can determine if the grading fee will be worth it or not

Plus one of those times tge stockmarket was at an all time low so people rushed into that.
Now that's at a high, debt at an all time high, war on destabilizing oil and basically everything else, money supply has never been higher. And their only way out of the unplayable inflation is to make us pay for it by diluting the value of the usd more by printing and inflating even more.
I wonder where gold and silver are going in all of this.
:P
>>
>>62763887
The only real hedge against inflation is intrinsic value, everything else is speculation. The intrinsic values of precious metals are a fraction of their market price.
That said, I'm medium term bullish on gold ETFs because they're down to 2022 RSI levels.
>>
>>62762741
Every asset class is easier for the government to confiscate than PMs: houses, vehicles, bank accounts, boats, pensions, stocks, bonds, ETFs, insurance policies, everything. With the push of a button. But idiots think a bunch of pussy federal agents are going house to house with metal detectors. Seriously, you should just shut up forever.
>>
>>62763909
No such thing as intrinsic value in any object. Value is a subjective human mind state. However, it is true that what people value in PMs is the actual PMs. By contrast, what people value in fiat money, ETFs, and other printed paper and electronic blips is what they represent. They are symbols of something people value while PMs are valued in themselves. And when the global smashdown to real value comes, holders of symbols rather than real assets will find that for dinner they must eat the menu rather than the steak.

PMs are not valued in themselves, they are valued by tradition because coinage used to be minted from gold and silver. The demand for them is overwhelmingly speculative in nature.

Hey I am a serious investor and I'm seeking information if any of you can help me before I make a bulk purchase of silver and gold. Any vids or resources is also appreciated

1. When the markets crash and their cbdc is pushed on normgroids, how do people transact silver and gold? I know there will be a parallel market but the government will probably try to heavily tax or outright ban silver and gold use.

2. If it really does lead to turmoil, where in the US is safe to move to. I know I am late to the party but where I'm at is not safe anymore. I am thinking about moving to either Granbury TX, Houghton Michigan or even somewhere in Idaho or the Dakotas. But where would you all suggest is safe?

3. How long would the system be broken for? And even if silver and gold explode in value (which is inevitable), is there only a small window of opportunity or will the parallel black market permanently exist going forward?
>>

this worries me. if weight, size, and ping all were fine (guessing magnet too) how would a copper/zinc coin mimic those characteristics? the coin would have to be thick, and the ping would have to sound awful, right? i am concerned i have bought lots and lots of coins based on weight/size/mag/ping alone, assuming that this always meant i was getting real silver. then again i am not intentionally buying anything worth faking - i hope - like rare mint marks.
>>
>>62764049
The intrinsic value is the value of it as a commodity before it was money, the intrinsic value is what the market pays for the use of gold and silver for what they can do such as electrical conductors, being durable and inert, being malleable and able to be hammered one atom layer thick on to another metal and protecting that metal in space etc.

Long story short, you're a leftist fucking retard child who thinks these words mean nothing, you're a complete utter faggot who if was asked "what is money" you'd come up with the answer "money is whatever we choose it to be" which would conflict with "so why aren't sea shells money to this day?" And you would play faggot leftist word games to avoid answering the question on why some things could not survive being money whereas the markets over time keep repeatedly coming back to gold and silver as money because if the intrinsic value that they have, all of that you would avoid because you're just a bitchass lame leftist communist nigger who can't admit he's wrong and has a huge ego.

Go play in traffic, because if it's not ego, it's because you're a thief and you need to play these word games, change definitions and pretend not to understand all so you can trick others into getting robbed by you with extra steps. Complete utter lame faggot.

The US government may try to replace the collapsed USD with cbdc but it will fail. It will fail because the Chinese are going to issue a gold-backed trade currency and a weary world, stunned by the failure of the fiat USD, will jump on it. Even if the US government tries to force-feed Americans with CBDC, the rest of the world is going to reject it. The days of the USA being the global bully-boy are ending. And Americans will need a currency they can use internationally. The US government will have no choice but to issue a gold-backed New Dollar or get left in the dust. So not only will the government not ban gold, it will have to remonetize it.

I am less certain about silver. It was once the de facto money of most of the world - particularly Asia and the Americas. It may be remonetized or stay mainly industrial. Either way, its value will weather the coming storm.

Without an app and a coin ping test kit and or other coins to ping it would be difficult to decide off that. I'm not surprised the weight and dimensions were right. Junk silver has "wear" and won't all be the same weight. This gives the scammer room to wiggle when making the fake.

My concern with cbdc is they can pretend to base it on a pseudo gold backed currency but actually not actually pay people in physical gold. And that cbdc will come at a time of major and borderline catastrophic social cohesion. So people will be desperate enough to buy into cbdc. Eventually even cbdc will fail naturally too but if China does in fact remonetize gold then maybe that's our only winning hand to play.
>>
>>62767684
i am not of the opinion that the app does anything, there is plenty of variation between coins, coins not on the app, and copper sounds really bad. but the point about wear i still dont get - a copper/zinc coin would be way under weight, its not even close, like multiple grams off. wear is like 5% before it becomes unreadable
>>
>>62767885
Looks like there are some other base metals in it. Nickel is pretty dense and heavy.
>>
>>62768005
nickel and copper both have a lower specific gravity than silver. so does steel. how do you reach the same specific gravity as silver, exactly? mix in little tungsten powder? i am being serious really trying to get to the bottom of this, i have yet to actually see a fake with the correct weight and dimensions (including thickness) that wasn't a fake made of real 90% silver or whatever, for numismatic rarity reasons. i do NOT get out the magnifying glass for every morgan dollar purchase, just my scale and ruler.

How do euro cucks cope with the extra tax on silver?
Sorry, that question was rhetorical, they obviously cope by buying gold.

To me, it just makes it blatantly obvious that silver is the superior choice and they don't want you to have it.

Gold is fully monopolized by the Jews and is useful for them because the hyper dense value is perfect for covertly funding whatever gayops they have planned.

Basically the same system we have but on steroids.

Cobalt hydroxide is not the same as pure cobalt. Cobalt is a pure, raw chemical element (\(\text{Co}\)) found on the periodic table. In contrast, cobalt hydroxide (\(\text{Co(OH)}_{2}\)) is a chemical compound composed of cobalt bonded with hydroxide ions. It typically contains only about 30% to 40% actual cobalt by weight and serves as an intermediate feedstock mined and processed primarily to make lithium-ion battery cathodes for electric vehicles (EVs)

agree. if the machine can have up to four dies and the additional dies aren't at all expensive (like $150 maybe) a few rare examples would be neat to have, although i'm sure the completists would throw a fit about not getting one.

Just got off the phone with my brother who is training to be a pilot. He was told that his training may have to be indefinitely suspended because we're projected to run out of oil in 60 days. That's not the opinion of me or my brother, that is what he was told by the people who fuel the fucking planes. I'll say it, we are truly living in reddit nigger chungus times

Depending on the year I don't mind dirty old coins. Makes me wonder how many people from like 100 years ago bought stuff with them and what they bought. Kind of like my dirty ass Mosin Nagant. Every time I hold it I wonder how many people its killed and how many people died holding it.
>>
>>62769698
these are 1979/80. What's odd about these is they aren't actual currency (similar to libertads) which makes me wonder how they got so grimey
>>
>>62769708
Probably spent a lot of time in shitty storage until some geezer dug them up out of their shed and needed a few bucks and pawned them off
>>
>>62769708
Probably sat in a poorly sealed box in someone's garage or some other place where there's a lot of sulfur in the air.

You're a fucking lying larping zoomer dumbass. I know flight instructors in multiple branches. There is no fuel shortage for training. If there were then you would have far more to worry about than fuel because society would have ended. Fucking larping liar scum.

>>62769640
It's low because the total amount of refineries used to process oil and create fuel are down in number. Less refineries means less fuel which means less gas to sell. Thus artificially suppressing the prices of fuel and oil. That is to say diesel and gas. There IS a shortage of JP8 (jet fuel) but that would never stop scheduled flight training, ever. There are ample enough jet fuel reserves to keep sorties going for another 50 years even with our supply deficits being artificially suppressed from less JP8.

>Too difficult to fake silver and gold metal.
>>62769860
>>62770119
I'm showing that silver and gold is not too difficult to be faked.
Whether it's easily falsifiable is another issue entirely. The screen capture is from an AilExpress products page.
It's out there - don't be so triggered by caution. Searching for fake items educates you about which items you should be particularly cautious about. Buying newly-issues items decreases the likelihood of fakes because counterfeiters haven't had time to make the fakes.
Learn. Don't be stupid.

When I look at MEX. 1 oz. Coins, the bullion prices make NO SENSE. Not rare, but they're asking $85.00 when 1 oz. Kruggerands were $62.00. They are not special -- their silver is same as Canadian Maple Leafs. WTF. Why?

>>62770380
Mexico makes something like 1/10th to 1/20th the volume every year that even Canada puts out.
