Netanyahu stands to benefit from Iran attacking Israel, but not if Iran attacks in retaliation to an Israeli attack. It would have to appear to be either retaliation for a US attack or an unprovoked preemptive strike, regardless if true or not. I do wonder if they'll do anything at all this weekend. Trump keeps saying about striking Iran. I believe him. Question is when...

Yes, delta is always <1 so it's common to refer 0.2 as 20.
People also refer to it as 20% as in the underlying statistically has 20% to touch the strike though I never actually looked at the math behind it.

Idk maybe when the very consequential midterms that may compromise his ability to conduct the war at all if he loses are over. Maybe thats why he's waited so long, instead of striking on a weekend that is guaranteed to send oil to the stratosphere and send the market into Niggerhell and guarantee defeat when the midterms are TWO (2) weeks away. The Iranians are trying to bait an attack for this reason, which is why they struck 7 tankers the other day.

I think he's coming to terms that he'll lose them, the midterms. See what I did there? Terrible joke. Disregard that. He did hint that he might do something before they happen. Nothing he tried worked at suppressing oil prices. There's literally nothing that he can do that would improve his odds at winning and nobody cares if Iran gets nukes, the point he keeps on repeating ad nauseam. People just want lower prices at the pump and a cheaper cost of living. They can't get that with these shitty wars not ending. We had some great gains during the MOU period.

??? it makes no logical sense to not at least take the chance in 2 weeks time of MAYBE getting one house and having more leverage, instead of guaranteeing having no houses and having zero leverage. There is no reason to not wait 2 weeks, and if the logic is that he has both houses RIGHT NOW, then WHY did he wait months and months to escalate? The long term intention is a ground war in Iran, and that can only be done post-midterms.
>He did hint that he might do something before they happen
His words are irrelevant, he also said a few weeks ago that he wouldnt do anything until after the midterms. He is a doddering old fool who just says random things, what actually matters are the movements of US aircraft. Im of the belief we will get one final pump before full commitment and then we descend to niggerhell.

Netanyahu is not God of Israe, his personal legal troubles will not hamper Zionism's decades-long plan to subjugate the Middle Eastl. A war cannot be conducted without the United States. And the United States needs to be in the best position it can before full commitment. It is in a terrible position right now with oil at yearly highs, with stocks in the toilet, and with the midterms approaching. And at the end of the day, if Israel truly was dictated by Netanyahu's whims alone, then WHY did they wait several months to strike Iran again in earnest? Why did Israel straight up pull out of the conflict?

Depending on which market you're talking about we've been rangebound for a while and we're starting to touch the bottom resistance range. We will get big tech earnings next week and that could bounce us off that bottom resistance. If earnings are bad then yeah I would say start worrying.

If anything I think it's a reminder that the market is chomping at the bit to reverse the AI trade and when it actually shows up it will be lightning fast and brutal.

>And at the end of the day, if Israel truly was dictated by Netanyahu's whims alone, then WHY did they wait several months to strike Iran again in earnest? Why did Israel straight up pull out of the conflict?
Oh and I can answer this one too, and answer why we will never set boots down in Iran in earnest even if Orange-Glo demanded it tomorrow.

Netanyahu is as much of a geriatric as Donald Trump and Joe Biden before him are. The guy is 77 years old. Zognald is 80.
The entire world is falling apart because everyone in control is an ancient fossil still clinging on to Cold War ideals of how the world works while letting younger, better businessmen effectively abuse their grandpa for Business scams.

Netanyahu demands Zognald invades Iran, beacuse he remembers the Yom Kippur war and the 6 day war and still is under the delusion that Israel is protected by yahw*h and is destined to control the greater middle east. He waits a few days because nobody else is under that delusion, every person below 50 realizes a war with Iran would be disastrous and compromise Israel's security for a hundred years. Netanyahu does not care. He demands things work right now.

Zognald also wants to invade Iran because he remembers the Iran hostage crisis and the Shah. He still genuinely thinks there is a chance at installing a puppet government of Iran and putting a gold statue of himself in Tehran. He listens to Netanyahu because they are both ancient skeletons.

We get to live with the strait closed forever and over $150/barrel oil once the reserve runs out. The gambit to use Venezuelan oil to supplant Saudi oil was always retarded, but we are ran by extremely retarded people.

>Iran's not tough
Lol
Thanks for your input boomer.

Iran is surrounded by massive mountain ranges with their Capitol far inland in the center. It's like a big bowl with all of their military targets inside of it. Unless you're going to strike them from space, you can never have a clean invasion of Iran. If you try to land ships, it is trivial to make the kind of munition that can strike from inside the bowl to the outside with no recourse or retaliation. If you try to send aircraft, well, you saw what happened when we tried to send aircraft. If you send drones, they have just as many and theirs have a shorter flight time to reach our bases.

It was ALWAYS a retarded idea to invade Iran. There are ancient texts describing how retarded of an idea it would be to seriously invade Persia, and nothing about that has changed. Why do you think despite Trump claiming, every single week, that Iran is wiped out and there is no military left standing, there are still ships being destroyed in the strait and US bases exploding? Obviously, their actual military cares very little what he thinks. Most of it is simply too protected to strike.

If you are esoteric and wise enough you realise it is all fun money, we made it up, it has no inherent value. They are fun tokens to be rubbed together by clicking buttons on the internet and multiplying.

Only a slave gives it any value. The first thing a poor dad teaches is the value of a dollar and hard work, the first thing a rich dad teaches is how to take advantage of that worker and exploit him to trade his one life for a scrap of debasing paper.

Git guud smigga. Its all a game and then you die.

Iran has had a slow-speed rail linking them and China for years.

Let me just say this: There is no path in which we win the Iran war with the Military and Leadership we got.

Hegseth standing in front of stadiums and people and screaming "TO THE LAST GOY!!!! SEND ME!!!!" has not only not translated into the recruitment numbers that would be required for a full invasion of Iran, it has done more damage irreparably to the public image of the US Military than any Iranian or Chinese propaganda ever could.

You can gloat about muh k/d but that will never translate to the Strait being opened. Maybe if the US Military had gone through with this, and then did a serious effort to clean up its image and offer real benefits for joining and for vets would this have worked; they haven't. All of their posturing comes off as desperate, and nobody is ever going to be willing to be known as the person who killed thousands of people for another Middle East war that we're going to lose when we inevitably get tired of hearing of people dying and leave.

This is also a retarded idea because it wasn't Iran that was reliant on the strait for economic output. We already sanctioned them dozens of times before that war even started.

Look at this graph and tell me that they're the ones hurting by the strait being closed. It's literally business as usual for them.

It's okay that you don't get this because you're not the US Military leadership for this country. This entire gambit should have resulted in Hegseth being fired because anybody can look up that this is only hurting us, not them.

The USN narrative of "These fires just started themselves" isn't a very strong one when satellite images capture it. Also considering most of the USN ships have moved far away from the Iranian coast to prevent more "mysterious fires" from happening.

>>62812781
It's not just the sanctions but it's also we have better ways of discovering how they move money secretly which we're also actively shuttering. You do not understand these various tactics synergize to create a much more powerful force than sanctions alone. Maybe Iran can survive sanctions forever but not sanctions + shuttering their exports and capturing their tankers, unveiling had stopping hidden financing streams and military attacks. Time is the other factor. Iran admitted the oil chokehold was working after the mou and everything we did then has been amplified since
>>
>>62812796
Yeah that's my point: shutting the strait down does not harm them whatsoever. They can have the strait shut down forever and it's business as usual for them. We were already sanctioning Iran from using it.

Shutting down the strait is why nobody wanted to invade Iran in the first place. They could keep it shut down forever.

A ground invasion of Iran would end the American Empire forever. It's been one massive blunder after another and the best thing to do at this point is cut losses.

But ZOG is too tied to Israeli interests and until greater Isreal is established expect the USA to weaken more and more as it is milked to server Jews.

Iran doesn't give a shit about its people. That's the advantage military dictatorships have in the realm of military power: We have to beg our population to sign up for military service. They just roll up to a village and kidnap as many fighting-aged men as they can. They do not care if every person in Iran starves. Trying to sink to their level is a strategic advantage for them

>I think you provided an alternate theory of events not supported by facts because you're a schizo doomer and nothing else

Ok here's Donald Trump:
https://www.npr.org/2026/06/18/nx-s1-5863027/us-iran-trump-memorandum-of-understanding-full-text

>The memorandum of understanding released June 17 provides $300 billion for Iran’s economic development and recovery, eases sanctions and unfreezes up to $24 billion in Iranian funds.
>The deal also implies that Iran will soon be able to charge ships for passing through the Strait of Hormuz, effectively recognizing control of the strategic chokepoint that didn’t exist before the war.

That's several hundred billion more than what Obama was air-dropping back into Iran. Which was also a stupid idea. Trump's third initial deal with Iran was to beg them to take the dark money back that this war was supposedly choking, and let them charge tolls for ships to traverse the strait.

I'm extremely happy it blew up in his face and he didn't get to go through with it. That is an unconditional US strategic retreat to allow every tanker to just pay Iran to pass, and Trump was willing to do it.

gemini says the market is heavily hedged with puts, which forces market makers to sell into weakness to hedge, says the put/call skew is extreme on the bearish side. if volatility collapses though, that eases the market maker hedging demand and causes them to buy back shares they shorted, so if the fed meeting goes well, big tech earnings are good, and there's no increase in headline font size, the market should have a bounce just from a drop in implied volatility.
