But honestly the whole Aus scene has been gradually stepping it up in concepts, costumes, and music. I mainly follow Citrus plus and their adjacents and former members. Sometimes the vocals can be a bit scuffed but they make up for it in stage presence and energy. The one thing they are not is shy on stage and I love that in an idol group.

Ways to wonderland was a solid show don’t know if it was recorded or streamed though. Everyone was on their a-game. Nae’s vocals and crowd work was a highlight imo. I think idols should keep some distance from real world events their job is to be a positive distraction of sorts. I think Eimi and Azusa did a good job of hosting a fun event for a good cause.

Runaway Crew were very good it was my first time seeing them perform glad I saw them over SeiPro
My top idol specific performances I watched were
Bloom Idol project- their overall performance was incredible think they deserved the main stage outside I know most people spent their time at the outside stage so those who did missed out on arguably the best performance of the day .
A-Muse project -as usual they are very well in time knew exactly how to make the crowd happy and excited for them to perform more never a dull moment with them. Forever my favorite idol group.
Tea- she always has a way to engage the crowd she is a very prominent stage presence truly an icon felt truly euphoric amongst the crowd
She did astonishing in the special unit that performed as the opening for the idols on the outside stage l too.
Carousel idols- first of their performances I’ve seen and quite enjoyed mostly their closing act not to mention how excited and loud the crowd was for most their set.

As well as Chaos Squared I think they did much better at matsuri than I’ve seen from them before they seem to be growing as idols

I've seen carousel a few times. While I like them and their performances, the one they brought in threw me off. I don't know it's name but the pink skirt thing with the ears looked so fucking over the top and was too much of a try hard in the dances it did. The faces it was pulling on stage just didn't look good and were creepy and uncomfortable. It was obvious it wanted to be the centre of attention during the special idol unit and the trio at the start of Carousel's set. I hope it learns it isn't as good as it thinks it is and needs to not be so obnoxious on stage and looses some weight so she can look like a real idol.

Most of them were lacklustre. I saw most through live streams or at the con so here's my takes on the performances. (split into 2 replies since apparently it was too big)

Saturday
Carousel Idols - good for most of their songs (minus the second last one) the crowd seems to like the duo song a lot and that anime song they do. Although the really one that had the white wig needs to learn how to dance and the one that had the short orange wig needs to learn how to stay in time with the rest of the group and not rush through dances.

Chai - Not much to say, vocals were underwhelming and it was a bit boring but the crowed seemed to like it.

Dreamfusion - usually pretty good but the 4 person songs they did just looked messy

Constellation - Good. But the stage seemed to be too small for the group's size. But the energy was there and the three that did the singing actually sounded good.

Moni - not an idol but an amazing voice. Probably one of the best performance all con, I wish she had had a longer set.

Penumbral - not much to say, energy was there and it was good, crowed seemed to like it too

Cassie Sama - No different to all the other times she's performed. Would have been better without the people dancing with her during the last song since none of them knew what they were doing.

Eucaly - the only one Saturday that even resembled an idol. Great energy and looked good on stage.

Nico - meh, underwhelming, looked slightly clueless at times. Not much else to say.

Ripple - Honestly not a fan of her voice, there also wasn't much going on in her setlist so there's not much to comment on.

Sunday
Lift:Off - for being last minute it was good. The orange one didn't really look very good with them and stuck out quite negatively but all the others did really well.

Doki Chu - obnoxious and sloppy. Watching her do the kpop dance and all the jumping she was unsettling. Out of breath after the first song and the faces she was pulling were cringy. Tried to do a "trick" with a fan and failed. Just not a good performance. Her clothes were also falling apart as she danced.

Implosion - disaster. Out of time and messy. The cosplay didn't even fit for 2 of them and one looked like a whale. It was just bad. One didn't even go back on for the final song or photo.

Magica - not very good honestly. The purple one was especially bad and had no clue what she was doing. The one in the long dress did really well, so did the pink one and red one. Those 3 had tones of energy but the rest seemed clueless for most of the performance.

Misfit Idols - messy, uncoordinated. Their whole set was bad. The one dressed as Miku was rushing and messy, the Luka didn't know what she was doing half the time and the Len was stiff and boring. Probably one of the worst performances. The outfits looked even worse and so did the make up.

MorexChaos - was pretty good, facial expressions were lacking in a few of the members, but overall it was pretty good. The crowd liked it and were hyping them up as well.

Untitled Stage - pretty chaotic and unorganised. The one with the long black hair needs to never have a microphone again and was out of tune singing. The horrible acting and staged "charades" in the middle of the set was tacky. 2 of them had no emotion when they were performing and pretty much looked dead on stage. The only one that actually did well was the one with the orange hair.

Chaos2 - One of the best times I've seen them perform and the crowd was really into it as well. They really did a good job.

Davine - performed both days multiple times but she was good.
