Gonna do joker 2019 face paint, I’ve had no experience with face paint before, what is a good non irritant brand that won’t get itchy and washes off easy?

>>10936989Can't help with your choice of facepaint but makeup wipes get facepaint off like a treat.
>>10936989>>10936989Former homestuck cosplayer here, I gotchu senpai. Face paint typically comes in two types- water based and oil based. Snazzaroo has a wide range of colours and is water based, and is my usual go-to recommendation. However, because it's water based, you need to seal that fucker. Apply a thin layer, let it dry, then apply another and let that dry, and don't let the cake or your brush get too wet. Seal with a layer of baby powder and then a layer of hairspray (or a good quality makeup sealer, this is advice from a broke ass bitch). Water based is easy to wash off, but that means it's also easy to SWEAT off, so I usually only use it for short periods of time, maybe a con day in the middle of winter (or one with really, really good aircon). Or you could let parts of it sweat off and become flaky and add that to your costume aesthetic, you do youSecond is oil based. I don't have too much experience with it if I'm totally honest, but oxx cosmetics does an excellent face and body paint. I wore a white under layer, used a metric fucktonne of green eyeshadow over the top and used that as my costume base when I went to a shrek rave. I am a sweaty fucker and even in a hot, noisy environment with a lot of drinking and dancing, it didn't really come off. Worst comes to worst, cheapy face paint from the dollar store will work just fine. It's easy enough to wash off with a bit of soap, a good flannel and some elbow grease. And for the love of god, TEST YOUR FACEPAINT beforehand. Take a little bit and put it on your wrist and then wait at least an hour. If it itches, becomes red or swollen or you think you're having a bad reaction to it, DON'T USE IT.
