I don’t understand why everyone dislikes them so much, it’s always so nice to talk to them. They’re so friendly and accommodating and when they come in with their cosplays, you can just see how passionate they are.

Japan is an exception, I have found Japanese resources when searching for cosplay tutorials as well.Most of the cosplayers I see out of China are scantily clad women usually trying to sell me something (themselves or otherwise), the main exception to this being that short chick with huge bolt ons that does really amazing stuff with 3d printers and making in general.There are cosplay whores in the West and Japan as well, those that just buy all their stuff, never modify it, and use it to sell themselves, but I have many examples to the contrary for those. I'm sure more exceptions exist in China, but I literally have never personally seen one that isn't trying to do that outside of the one exception.
