>>10937518OP here. Thank you so so much to the person that posted. I love you. I’ll save all of them
>>10937539you are welcome,glad you enjoy
This style was often full of thrifted stuff. As we all now nowadays westerners cosplaying lolita fashion are allergic to thrifting, "coz it haz oll 2 be brands, sis".
>>10937559>cosplaying lolita fashioncare to elaborate?Thrifting has never been a good idea for lolita fashion in the west. It doesn't matter where you get your items as long as it looks good, is appropriate for lolita fashion and isn't a replica. You won't find that at thrift stores in 99,9999999% of cases. If you're broke just make it yourself or hunt for really good deals on the second hand market.
>>10937559Lolita, and much of Japanese fashion in general, is and has always been extremely brand focused,
>>10937561>Thrifting has never been a good idea for lolita fashion in the westExcept it was unless you are tall like NBA player. I know, shocking to many here.
>>10937606Western thrift stores don't have anything suitable for lolita in 99,9999% of cases. Do you mean you thrifted stuff and altered it to suit the aesthetic? That's different but that usually doesn't work very well either even if you are skilled, and you have to have more skill than the average lolita who sews to make anything work. It's less hassle and will suit lolita better if you made something from scratch. If that's not what you mean I'm sorry to have to say that your outfits didn't look as good as you think they did.
>>10937601I've been hunting for that dress for so long...it's nice to see someone wearing it.
>>10937607I'm not here to change your religious views but to inform you they are wrong
>>10937636prove that going to thrift stores in the west is an effective affordable way to find suitable pieces for lolita fashion that don't require any alterations and that these finds are not the exception.
>>10937558she got it right, the rest not so much
such a cute thread, love this.
>>10937912Oof>>10937911honorable mentions
>>10937912Not questioning anything, but this has such a jirai-esque vibe.
