>Ask a cosplayer to take a picture of him/her.>Refuses.
>K. Your loss then
Makes me quite sad when it happens :(
Thats why God invented candids

The ones that do this are the "professionals" who charge for photos and wander around cons in full costume surrounded by handlers who get in the way so no one can get a decent shot.
>>10940093That's strange, because the "professionals" I've encountered (ones who are selling photos of their previous cosplay and clearly have a following) are actually okay with a free pic and pose. They have alot of people with higher quality camera and equipment surrounding though and they usually take an hour to finish so waiting can be a pain.
>>10940087My favorite style
>>10940078have you considered not being fat
>>10940078Couldn't be me
I had this happen at my last convention.I'd already been really scared of asking people for pictures, but finally I got the courage, and then the third person I asked said no, and after that I only got one more picture through all of the convention.I guess there weren't that many people cosplaying characters I cared about anyway, so maybe I wouldn't have taken many more photos anyway, but still.
>>10940113What happened? Were you unnerved because the 3rd person said no? Honestly, don’t take it too hard, they could just be tired
>>10940078I only refuse when I'm about to go home, changing back or I feel my makeup is off. Don't take it too personally anon. Most people are glad to be asked for a picture.
>>10940078you must just be unlucky, I've literally never been refused
Never experienced this, you must have caught them in a bad mood. One time i did wanted a picture with someone walking and kept calling them for 5 minutes and they just wont notice and then i gave up.
>>10940078>take the picture anyway>turn around 360 degrees>walk away
>>10940078Don't take it so personally. Cosplayers are people too - they get tired, hungry, they run late for things, they might be busy trying to meet up with someone, they might just be grumpy. Just say something like "Aw ok, I really like your costume though, have a nice rest of your con" and move on. Be a good sport.
>>10940087Nah, candids and creepshots are done by people who don't have the balls to approach others.>>10940093How do people have the gall to ask for money? Even celebs who charge for autographs? Get paid for what? For standing still for a second for the people who will advertise you on the internet?
I was at a con on Saturday and got around 10 pictures with other people, noone refused so either I got lucky or I'm not unpleasant. here's one of the pictures I took with tifa
>Walking back to hotel from con>Guy and his friend catcall me and asks if he could take a pic under my skirt>Say yes>He looks at me weird and starts laughing>Strike a cute pose with my skirt out and wait for him to take the pic>He doesn't know what to say and leaves>Walk away feeling really rejected
>>10940296He was disgusted by your penis
>>10940296Men who catcall do so because they don't have the guts to actually flirt with you. Bitches are afraid for no reason.
I've been attending anime conventions for over a decade and I had little problem asking for photos. anxiety may have built up for the last few years but I have to overcome it everytime. Because deep inside if I dont get that photo I will never have that chance.
whos going to stop you from taking a picture bro
>>10940442Convention staff may remove you if enough cosplayers complain.
>>10940456That rarely happens. Convention staff usually just explain to you not to do that and why.
This is why candids are the best
>>10940845So true
>>10940078>buy a big camera>they never say no>always hold their pose while I move around a few times taking a few shotsits so easy
