Mine is clam chowder.
>>
>>20689491
That's a chowder not a soup
>>
>>20689491
Yeah but what kind, New England or Manhattan?
I go for the NE.
>>
>>20689491
Tomato Bisque.
>>
>>20689498
That's great with a basil leaf and some crusty garlic bread, anything else is kind of cheap.
>>
>>20689497
NE for sure.
>>
>>20689492
If it's sipable and spoonable, then it's a soup. Yes, milkshakes, too.
>>
>>20689491
tomato basil or french onion

These french onions go great on just about any soup, they give it a nice crunch
>>

Chicken noodle, I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned that yet
>>
K'tieau Phnom Penh. It's the answer to the question "what if pho and ramen fucked?" It's pork pho with choice of rice noodles or egg noodles (not actual ramen noodles, sadly) with squid, shrimp and sliced pork kidney, pork liver and pork belly and/or shoulder as toppings as well as fatty ground pork cooked with garlic to make garlic lard poured on top.
Second favourite is my mum's zöldségleves, which is just a basic bitch vegetable soup with lard (or tallow) and paprika but it's so fucking good.
>>
>>20689513
The American Sign Language sign for cereal is a compound of the signs for MORNING and SOUP.
>>
>>20689546
But that's kind of general, what if specific like Captain Crunch?

You either fingerspell C•A•P•N C•R•U•N•C•H or simply sign CAPTAIN CRUNCH, which is kinda funny cuz the sign for CRUNCH is just CLAW E CLAW E CLAW E a bunch of times, the fingers imitating teeth in a mouth crunching down on something. Captain is the natural sign. But fingerspelling it would be faster. Some brand names have signs, but most are simply fingerspelled. Coke and Pepsi, for example, both have their own signs.

Does Lobster Bisque count?

for me its hu tieu mi with some fried duck and deep fried duck. dad found an especially good place before and after he had to fast for some sort of checkup he had to do
>>
>>20689730
Basically the same thing. Hu tieu is the Vietnamese name for the same class of noodle soups.
>>
>>20689776
whatever its called, i love that shit
one summer my dad made a giant pot of it and we ate like kings for a week
>>

Vegetable pho. It warms me up without feeling too heavy.

>boil whole chicken with herbs
>tak chicken out before meat falls off the bone
>get broth back up to temp, onion, garlic, celery, carrots, potatoes, rutabaga, Jerusalem artichoke, whatever root vegetables you can get
>when the potatoes or rutabaga are aaaalmost for tender, add back in the chicken picked off the bone
some like dumplings, some like pasta, even heard of heretics using instant ramen, i normally just stick with traditional flower dumplings, some times i add pork meatballs too
>>
Anyone think a blueberry soup could turn out well? Went picking yesterday (I was so slow ;_;) but the kind they had is a non-tart variety, almost tastes pea-like so I’m thinking maybe making a bastardized split pea soup.

For me it’s French Onion. When I order it at a restaurant I pronounce it like “oignon” like a Frenchman and I wink at the waitress and my wife and daughter roll their eyes
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qRnT4Y_Azuw
>>
>>20690149
You should snap your fingers and grab the waitress's ass, they love getting attention like that.

Meh, I just try to embarrass my wife and daughter by saying something stupid. I don’t want to be too rude or crude. I like to ask the waitress if the chili has beans, when she says yes I say I’ll have a bowl and then I say to my wife, “sorry hun, looks like you will be getting Dutch ovened all night” and the waitress looks aghast and my wife puts her hands over her face and shakes her head

>>
>>20690222
My dad without fail does the
>"Oh, I'm gonna need a to-go box"
When he finished the plate, or the
>"Eh, it was okay, I picked at it."
Then him and my mom laugh like the waitress hasn't heard it 7 million times.
But at least you guys are having fun at their expense, they are getting tips after all.

>Bone forks have been found in archaeological sites of the Bronze Age Qijia culture (2400–1900 BC), the Shang dynasty (c. 1600–c. 1050 BC), as well as later Chinese dynasties.[1] A stone carving from an Eastern Han tomb (in Ta-kua-liang, Suide County, Shaanxi) depicts three hanging two-pronged forks in a dining scene.[1] Similar forks have also been depicted on top of a stove in a scene at another Eastern Han tomb (in Suide County, Shaanxi).[1]

Any of those 'hearty' meals are really good. It's like a meal in a can and I don't have to cook anything except heat it up. Clam chowder is one of my favorites too. I recently got a lobster chowder can but haven't tried it yet, call me autistic if you want but I genuinely just like looking at it in my cabinet.

>I genuinely just like looking at it in my cabinet
I wouldn't say I'm this far gone, but there is something about the soup aisle that's pleasant to look at. Imagine having one of these in your home.
