personally i like to sear it so it's still pink on the inside when i slice it then will serve it with some citrus maybe or a nice sauce i whip up of some kind, some roast veg and a nice salad. maybe some rice or noodz

my advice would be, cook it less than you would other type of meats, probably 1 minute on each side in a hot pan would be sufficient. 2 max.

these recipes are similar to how i make it

You can sear it a little and make tuna strips, sorta like steak strips.

Not OP but is there anything obvious to watch out for when buying raw tuna at the store? From my understanding (good) sushi place have a special way of handling their raw fish and that's what makes it relatively safe to eat sashimi; I don't trust whatever the fuck my grocer or I am doing if I'm just gonna be searing

it's prob fine unless you don't live anywhere near the ocean

Just pan fry it or grill it like a steak. Don't overcook it tho.

Thanks anon I'll take that into account. I live in Florida so I'll just ask the store where they get it and do some bare minimum research

More special than regular freezing I'd reckon

To reduce fever, they break the nerves and drain the blood that causes the odor.
Then they are rapidly chilled or frozen.
