I'm currently on the diet this book is suggesting, it's been 4 days and I feel better than I have in years. Is the plant based lifestyle a meme? I don't mind eating greens/fruits/veg/nuts/fungi/grains everyday but not being able to have salt has unionically been the hardest part.

>I'm currently on the diet this book is suggesting
Why? The entire book is a meme
>it's been 4 days and I feel better than I have in years
Any kind of diet usually does that. It's a combination of the placebo effect and the fact that the dog shit fast food you were probably stuffing your face with before isn't compatible with any diet.
>Is the plant based lifestyle a meme?
Yes
>not being able to have salt has unionically been the hardest part
You can have salt.

You can literally live off of just meat but you need salt
So this is bullshit
You're just fasting and fasting feels good

veganism is dangerous for most people long term. there might be some outliers that can do okay with the right supplements but most people will get sick from the lack of animal nutrients and potentially overload on certain plant toxins

I've fallen off the wagon recently, but I liked the time I spent eating this sort of super-strict plant-based diet. The hardest thing to follow if you enjoy cooking is not using any rendered fat/oil, but if you adapt to it and resign yourself to not getting very experimental in the kitchen, it's not too bad. I really liked barley and chickpeas as the centerpieces of my meals, and I regularly made whole grain bread. Kale with walnuts and ground flax seeds every night.
I need to get back on that, at least in part. I definitely looked a lot better when I ate that way.

Bodybuilding is not the same as living a long, healthy life

Imagine taking a book with a title like that seriously.

Elaborate on this. "Animal nutrients" is a misnomer, and "plant toxins" makes it sound like you think people will inevitably incorporate poison hemlock into their diets.

It's so hard to do it day in and day out. I crave meat every day. I'd settle for one egg at this point. Still the hardest part so far has been cutting down the sodium because even the foods I'm allowed to eat can't be spiced properly rendering them tasteless.

It's working so far though

>living as a balding, fat weakling until you're 80 is better than living as an aesthetic bodybuilder until the age of 79
Vince Gironda lived to be 79 years and 343 days. He sacrificed 22 days off his 80-year lifespan. Pretty sure it wasn't the eggs that did him in.

Greger is currently 51 years old and looks like he's in his 70s.

it's obese sharts that will literally do anything other than eat anything green and fresh. they were raised on frozen foods from costco because their boomer parents couldn't cook.
