Do you put mushrooms in your pasta sauce? What’s the big deal here?
>>

sometimes. they're not essential but I will if I have them on hand
>What’s the big deal here?
idk, they taste good?

jesus christ how horrifying

Why? It's not like it has beans in it.

Italian food was foreign and new back then

It's vile, two different worlds that don't mix together. Stop being a slopfag and learn to cook properly.
>>

you don't put mushrooms in the sauce, you put it in the end product. you want mushrooms in to slow cook because they impart favorable flavor profiles, if you blend the fuck out of them and can them it destroys the flavors.

who the fuck plates plain spaghetti without sauce and then pours sauce on with a gravy boat? and why would you, even if you were to do that, do it on a stack of plates, one at a time? Whoever assembled this ad needs to be checked out as a potential serial killer.

I tried that for the first time last week and it came out quite good. I don't particularly like the texture of mushrooms so I cut them very thin and couldn't feel them at all while chewing, but they definitely made the sauce flavour more rich

I still do that. One of the only good things about tomao sauce on pasta is the contrast, pasta that is pre mixed in tomato sauce is just way less satisfying.

Ok, I'll enjoy my home/restaurant style pasta and you can enjoy your school/hospital/jail cafeteria style

Enjoy the fires of hell with the rest of your God-forgotten bloodline.

Depends on the sauce. Only one I make had mushrooms in it and I think I posted a cook along making it forever ago

I think mushrooms taste the best when fried, so I usually add fried mushrooms to the end product instead of putting them in anything while cooking. I've been eating mushrooms every other day since I was born and never has a mushroom made a dish taste different by it's addition to a sauce (unless it's the main ingredient and you use 3 pounds of mushrooms)

Can you imagine /ck/ being served a pizza like this and how much they would freak out?
>>
>>20839949
I rather like a pizza that's just sauce and parm

You can’t be trusted as you are clearly a mushroom man that has been completely taken over by the spores. Not even human, anymore. Sad, many such cases.

Mushrooms are a meat substitute

Not really no. No protein

It was a different time

Before the pizza wars drove many species of pizza extinct

They have "tomato pies" in New Haven although I've never seen anyone but tourists order that.

The texture of cooked mushrooms is revolting, though.
