>>20914980>burnt outside>raw inside 3/10
>>20914980That looks good as fuck. What did you use to season it?
>>20914980Not stolen/10.
>>20914980Ignore the troll, this is what peak steak performance looks like. I could only dream of getting such a crust without overcooking the inside. Please teach me your ways
looks alright
>>20914994Salt, pepper and garlic
>>20915017Use charcoal, cover in duck fat, seasoning and put over charcoal while still cold from the refrigerator. Flip after a few minutes and continue until steak reaches desired temp. The steak will continue cooking 5 degrees after removed from grill so keep that in mind
>>20915017Also remember to wait until the charcoal no longer has any flame
>>20915017I’m bad at directions. It doesn’t have to be duck fat. Any fat or butter will work
>>20915029Solid and simple seasoning. Good job anon
>>20915029How did you get such a nice thick flavorful black crust?
>>20915031>>20915036Do you think ghee/clarified butter would work? I might try it but I'm not sure how well it would stick to the steak to coat it.
>>20915109by being fat white trash. them people like that.
>>20915120
>>20915117Butter will work for sure. >>20915036The butter or fat hits the charcoal and flares up
>>20915029>garlicThere's the problem. Garlic burns in a second at proper searing temps. Pepper burns too, but not as much as garlic. Honestly, just dry brine with salt some time before cooking, then pepper and garlic after searing. You did a good job cooking the steak itself. You just fell for the garlic and pepper memes.
>>20914980It looks like a brisket , lmao
>>20915120Everyone likes a thick meat crust, you homo. Few things are more universally human than a love of seared bites.
>>20915149>everyonei'm not fat tho
>>20915143True
>>20914980try not using sugar to burn treacle onto a steak and get back to me
>>20915143>dry brine with salt some time before cookingonly if the steak is shit quality
>>20914980anon can I come over for a BBQ?
>>20915176What a fucking mess.
>>20916217lol of course
>>20914980 That looks like a very good steak anon. The bark looks excellent and the inside is pink and juicy. 9/10 would eat.
>>20916411Thanks man. Still have 2 porterhouse and a t bone I gotta grill soon. Been eating tons of red meat and animal fat and my health has improved. My triglycerides dropped 100 points. Also not eating fast food but maybe once a month
>>20914980Looks a bit crispy on the outside. I'm assuming you cut it in a way to make it firmer on purpose and are using a lower-quality (lower fat content) cut of beef in order to be fancier, but it doesn't look as appetizing as I would think. Reminds me more of fajita beef, like as if it's a hanger steak.
>>20916534It’s a portion of a porterhouse, bro. Very tender
>>20914980looks like cheap ass sirloin, but...would.
>>20916364siiiiiiiiiiiiick
>>20914980a steak? you call that a steak? burnt outside and raw inside and zero appurtenances for the dish, by the looks of it at leasti would rather cuddle a raccoon than even think about eating that "steak"in fact I think it would be quite nice to cuddle a raccoon, so long as they were friendlythey do look like little woodland corgis in a certain senseobviously you'd need to bathe the raccoon first to get the dirt off of it, but i can picture the washing of a raccoon being quite a funny thing to see!!!they are little chubby beasts of beauty.i just searched the world wide web to check out chubby raccoons because i thought that would be cute, and look at this photo! a pet raccoon allegedly taken in 1986. what a treat it would be to have a pet raccoon.just little bundles of joy. i wish they were as popular as pets as cats and dogs.but back to the point. 4/10 for the steak
>>209149806.5/10
>>20914980Whats the appeal of eating charcoal?
