it depends on the thickness of the steak
i recommend a stainless steel pan
heat on high till pan starts smoking
your fat of choice
salt the steak/seasonings of choice
throw in the pan
3-4 mins each side and don't forget to cook the edges if it's a thick cut
remove steak
let it rest for 3-5 mins
if the doneness is not to your liking just keep cooking and experimenting till you get it
