Shortrib stroganoff from yesterday's braised shortrib and herb mashcan't even finish it and my sister cleaned hers but it was gluten free spag for her

>>20923820I literally didnt say anything even remotely related to it being mustard
>>20922570I've had pretty much nothing but hot dogs and chili the past 2 days. I feel shockingly fine, although my sodium is probably a little high. Also mashed potatoes with chili is severely underrated. It's like a tex-mex shepherds pie. Dog tracker: 4 coney dogs, 1 mashed potatoes with chili cheese, 1 plain, and 1 with kraut and onion.
>>2092384210/10 Its so rare to see a hot dog topped appropriately, both in topping choice and quantity, extra points for using decent buns.Normally chili dogs look like they need to be eaten with a spoon but those look pickupable like god intended
Just a pan of odds and ends really
>>20923870you really just going to bite into a whole ass chunk of white onion?
>>20922910BROTHER. I would crush like 9 of those. Here’s the last thing I made. Braised lamb.
>>20923863Amen, ratio of ingredients is underrated for handhelds. Being able to just pick it up and take a bite without any care or fear of spillage is top tier.
>>20923886That's a big yes from me. I reckon that would've tasted pretty fucking good.

>>20924058Can't really see the burger. Potatoes look good
>>20924032i don't really see how that could be improved

>>209227844 (You)
>>20924058fucker rotated on me
>>20924085love it when she does that
>>20924073What I've found to be successful is using smaller potatoes, a decent amount of oil, parchment paper, and convection baking instead of regular to get the moisture away. If you wanna go try hard you can par boil the potatoes in a baking soda solution. Something about the basic solution roughs up the potato flesh.
>>20924066My burgers are like 90% veg sometimes. Especially when you get good summer tomatoes. There's a tiny brown strip at the bottom lol
>>20924110Oh yeah, I can see. I don't mind a lot of salad anyway, as long as there's some meat. I'd eat it without question
>>20924094ah i just have a basic bitch oven apparently back in 1900's the village market called "K-mart" sold a windup fan you put in the oven to get convection like effects, but i can't find anything like that in the modern world
>>20924117Lmao that's crazy, you could always get an air fryer which will definitely get it done. But then that's on the counter top. In a regular oven I'd just crank the heat, space out the potatoes, and do the baking soda thing. Might just be more finicky.
This is the last thing I made that I took a picture of. I tried to make a homemade McRib. I fucked up and way over cooked the meat. It was extremely dry and unpleasant.
>>20924363damn brother, what are you going to cook next? Sometimes you gotta just bust out an old favorite to get back on the horse. Get an easy w
>>20924363when that happens i normally shred it up and make it pull pork style with extra BBQ sauce to moisten it up
>>20923842I've also been downing dogs, but for the last month straight, some plain, some w greek sauce & mustard, usually chips or fries to side, & I feel completely fine, I've still got about three weeks of hot dogs. I order them by the case from Smith's.
>>20924605Baissed, I should keep this train rolling
>>20924605your "chili' looks unique* what did you do to it?
>>20922720>blended into a sauce.have you ever eaten Marinara perchance?
>>20924669maybe, have you?
>>20924658NW Pennsylvania Greek sauce, it's ground beef, fine chopped onion, 1tsp/lb of garlic powder, oregano, basil, cumin, crushed red pepper, salt, pepper, 4-8 oz tomato sauce, cup of chicken stock, throw it in a crock pot, mix the fuck outta it, slow cook for 7-8 hrs on high. good on dogs, fries, & burgers. good in the fridge for 5 days, freeze up to 2 mo.folks in that region will tell you it isn't chili, but I don't see why it can't be considered such. the best restaurant serving it is Red Hot in Erie, PA, haven't been there in a few years but I always buy 5-6 qts when I visit, been trying to replicate their recipe for years.
>>20925015oh its sloppy joe >Red Hot in Erie, PA,i had some failmy visit from the NE and they brought some red/white hots with them, only thing was i couldn't see the color difference (color blind and maybe also retarded) so i kept handing them white while they were asking for reds and they just gave me the strangest looks like "wtf is wrong with you"? Weird i can see the difference in this pic but in the sunlight i couldn't
i made a prime rib roast the other night.
>>20925254Not too big on the veg method, but everything else looks good.
>>20925254im jealous, the only beef im eating is ground when its on sale for $3.99/lbs
>>20925015a real greek chili has just a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon in it, it sounds weird but cinnamon and savory is actually a killer combo
making some simple granola 1/2 cup brown sugar1/2 cup honey1/4 cup canola oil**4 cups old fashioned oats1/2 tsp cinnamon1/4 tsp saltplus i added some raisins and coconut and a tsp of vanilla not much of a picture

I made Chicken Yassa the other night. Growing up we had a family friend from Gambia and she'd make this. I've tried to recreate it several times and this is the closest I've gotten it so far. Still needs more lemon though, I marinated the chicken in the juice of three and threw another one sliced in the pot to boil with the stew. Please excuse the state of my plate, I'd been using it to store chicken prior to plating on it>>20923987Is that Fuet? That shit is like crack to me

i think my thread diedoh well anyways check out my tiny everglades tomatoes
Just now.Beef patties, tasty cheese, cayenne pepper, pickle mustard, egg, tomato, lettuce, beetroot. They are supermarket patties I couldn't be arsed making them (and it's cheap).
Store kaiser roll with shit sprinkled on, beef patties from ground beouf, salt, pepp, garlic, diced and sauteed onion, washoursister and soy sauces, a pinch of msg, brown sugar and a dash of sweet, plum flavoured hotsauce. Some melted cheese, bacon and greenz on top.
>>20929507When you have a really good seal, the end of the burrito is the best part imo. Like the savory equivalent to the end of a drumstick cone. That's why I slice my burritos in half so I get 2 end bites instead of 1.
>>20929593cherry tomato boys
>>20930789>kaiser rollthey always get over looked for burgers but i think they work great and hold up to a really juicy burger that would turn brioche into mush
>>20930976they're about half the size of a cherry tomato and about twice the flavor, they are about he only tomato that will grow in my hellscape
Peposo and Parmesan mashed taters. I added some carrots just to get them out of my fridge. Pretty simple but I didn’t check on it early enough bc my sister needed help with hw and it came out a bit dry. When I finished the leftovers after 3 days in the fridge it very tender and juicy idk why.

Ox Cheek Ragu with Polenta. No idea why my phone made the polenta that yellow colour, as irl it looks much paler. Oh well. Cherry cake and custard for afters.
>>20938050Which cheek did you use, the mouth or the butt?
>>20924073Use small yukon gold potatoes and cut the into bite size pieces. Put them in decent sized bowl and toss in some olive oil and toss to cover them in it. Then add your kosher salt, cracked pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, a couple dashes of smoked paprika and toss it all again to distribute thoroughly. The just throw them in an air fryer at 350f for about 15 minutes, tossing them one time mid way through cooking. Very easy, very fast and always perfect. If you want to go one step further sprinkle some real Parmesan cheese on top of them when there’s just a few minutes left to cook and it will crisp up perfectly over the potatoes.
>>20938079oh i think you know
>>20931557so since im a little thin on cash and there was a pretty good sale, i'll be eating pizza again. It's amazing how the things i once considered party night foods like pizza, Chinese, etc. are actually some of the cheapest survival foods you can make mozzarella $1.79/8oz x2pepperoni were $3.50tomato sauce was $1 and maybe $1 worth of flour, salt and yeast=$9 for two extra large 16 inch pepperoni pizzasand honestly i could have gotten by with only one block of cheese bring it closer to $7.20
>>20923987i came buckets thanks anon
>>20938309actually i get 4 pizzas out of one can of sauce so its closer to $6.70 for 2 extra large pepperoni pizzas i drizzled a little olive oil around the crust to protect the garlic powder from burning and a sprinkle of shaky parm for grease control
>>20938376came out nice and thin with puffy crust
no expensive pizza stone or 8000 degree oven needed just a $5 pizza pan from walmart and and baked at 450f for a perfect crust
>>20938422needs way more veggies get some veggies on there maybe some veggies and activated eggs and some nice de-acidised veggie clubroot (organic) get also some veggies for health like parsnips and microsalad with veggie shavings like carrote and some veggies for side dish
second pizza is up and even more puffy, not bad for a one hour quick dough
