I used to eat ellios as a kid. I didn't like it but is okay. Bought it as adult and it's terrible and not worth eating

Ellios is like school lunchroom pizza

I've explored far and wide for years trying every freezer meal pizza. This is the only good one. They're like $11 though. Actually Amy's pizza is pretty good too
>>
>>20961898
rising crusts are bready garbage. thin crusts are much better but bad value per $
>>
>>20961893
I sometimes buy these as an emergency snack. The only reason i like them is from nostalgia, though, and couldn't recommend them to anyone who didn't grow up with that as a staple.
>>
Fun fact yall
Ellios used to be called Elliot's because the founder was named Elliot. When the family sold the brand in the 80's one of their stipulations was the name had to be changed because the Elliot family wanted a clean break and to have no association with the company. So of course the company that bought it just changed the name to Ellios so as not to damage brand recognition. The Elliot family was furious but couldn't do anything.

I haven't had Dajorno's since the 90s when they had the "its not delivery, its Dajorno's" ad campaign. How does current year Dajorno's compare to 90s Dajorno's? I rmemeber it being much better than other frozen 'za like Timbstones

If you like Digiorno give that Walmart pizza >>20962146 a try. It's a direct imitation and they did a pretty good job while keeping the price a few dollars lower. The stuff crust ones have added seasoning that's quite good.

i actually like digiornos for their bready yeasty taste, their sweet tasting sauce that turns meaty tasting with the 3meat

I think most people do in terms of believing all Americans should have the same rights and freedoms. The part people object to is being told you're a bigot and horrible person if you think men in dresses are mentally ill homosexuals and not true and honest women.

Oh yeah my bad lol. It was a good pizza and the quality was comparable to Digiorno. I couldn't find the supreme, so I got regular pepperoni instead. The cheese and crust were really good compared to most frozen pizzas. It's a top quality pizza.

around 2010 we started getting this new frozen pizza brand we never had before and everything about it fucking slapped
then we stopped getting it and I completely forgot what brand it was and it's fucking bugging my brain since covid
all I know is that it didn't come with a box and I think it was a set and came with 2 pizzas? 3? 4?
the taste was so unique especially the bread but it's been so long that I can't describe it

Can some of you fellow Americans explain a thing about pizza delivery?
Watching US tv every time someone ordered a pizza it amounted to at least 12 bucks per one pizza ,around 2002-2007. Considering that was so long ago, it always surprised me how much it cost, since its a typical fast food item, you would expect it wouldnt cost so much, right? So was it like, 30 percent of those 12 bucks just for delivery? and they always seemed normal sized
>>
>>20978799
Back in the eary 2000s I would say the average pie at a local store was $15. delivery driver usually got a $20 so the rest was tip.

I have not ordered delivery since but I assume its $25 total now
>>
>>20978799
Pie was around 16” in diameter I’d say
>>
>>20978817
>>20978821
interesting. still, it always seemed that the pizza was not comically large, the delivery guy could easily handle them (i.e. it wasnt xxxl supersize). so it was just that much money, huh? seems awfully lot for such a typical dish, even at that time, like 2003
>>
>>20978838
I would agree but I was a kid and I just liked pizza. As an adult I would never pay those prices, plus that local stores quality went down the dump

I rather have cheap frozen pizza over that. I can make a pretty good pizza myself too.
>>
>>20978841
what about going to a pizza place in person? i try not to eat them too much since its mostly carbs but theres a place where they have an unbelievably chewy and fluffy napoletana that i go to every two months. im glad that you can make a nice pie yourself; do you have a special oven or something or just put it in a normal oven in your kitchen?
>>
>>20978864
To be frank I have’t stepped in that shop since. But from seeing other menus its about $19 for a 16” pie.

Nothing special but I’ve just preheat my oven to 550F and it gives a good crust like new york style.
>>
>>20978817
I'm in a suburb of NYC and a 18" pie is $20. But the place i usually go to has 2 large 18" pies for $26 on tuesdays, or as i call it, pizza day.
