I have been buying the $7 meal deal in the past month. They feature a Baja throwback chalupa at the moment in the mix, that or the double decker.

Gorditas and Chalupas have become more generic since then. You wont find a brown spec on a nu Gordita, its much less flatbread and more flatbreadish tortilla, same goes for Chalupa. The originals are lost to time, and the new ones are just marginally different soft taco shells

Never liked Taco Bell during their "golden age," started liking them once everyone else stopped, not purposefully. Cantina chicken taco and Grilled Cheese burrito are my go-tos. Very much miss the Quesarito, and please bring back those Cheesy Street Chalupas, couldn't get enough of them.

Also, I don't see how people say it's overpriced compared to other chains, their value menu is far and away a better deal than those shit wimpy burgers you get from McD's/Wendy's/BK, and even the pricier stuff is more filling than what you'd get for the same price at elsewhere. Then again I live in Western NY, we don't have all the chains some others do like Carls Jr or Jack in the Box, so maybe those are the comparisons.

I like refried beans, but with that burrito its never evenly distributed, so its like half beef and half just bean.

This thread made me drink drive to TBell, just saw the ad on my stream with Flagpole Sitta too.
Gordita supreme isn't as good as I remember, guess there's a reason Cheesy Gordita Crunch has been a staple for all these years.

The gordita and chalupa shells are both different now.

The gorditas back in the day were a lot more like actual flatbread, these days it's almost like a combination of flatbread and a regular soft tortilla, same as the chalupa, it's not nearly as "deep fried" and "crisp" as it used to be, I still prefer either over a normal soft shell or crunchy shell but they're both a bit more generic now
