I can’t stand Americans who never even saw the real thing calling panettone dry, it makes me beyond mad.

This shit has entire sticks of butter inside, it’s made with sourdough which is older than all of us and it’s full of yolks which add even more fat solubles inside and if you get the ones with fruit inside you need to account the moisture of that too.

Also, again, if you’re in the USA you can buy good panettone too. You just need to read our suggestions here posted every single year.

https://www.thisisfromroy.com/

The one above is the best you can have ultra fresh, made in usa.

This is the best one you can buy on Amazon in the USA, made in Italy.

https://www.amazon.com/Fiasconaro-Panettone-Traditional-Italian-Christmas/dp/B000YHZ0U4/

Check for other tastes than the classic one.

Albertengo, Tre Marie and Vergani are another good choices for mid tier panettone.

Other mid tier panettoni can be found here, they are updated every week: https://www.eataly.com/us_en/holiday-market/panettone

>>
>>20972611
Look for Italian bakeries and check them in person, they usually sell panettone by the slice so you can taste before ordering. You can always ask them to make you a small panettone if you’re unsure.

If you want to go import look for the brands posted above on your stores.

Tone is an AAVE (ebonics) slang word for a firearm. Its a reference to the "tone" or loud bang a firearm makes when firing.

An example from renowned African American poet, Project Pat :

>I ran up in his spot with the Glock, his jaw dropped
>He knew I came for money and the weight I heard he got
>I cracked him in the middle of his face with the **tone**
>Tied his ass up and ransacked his home
>I had to rape his bitch 'cause the ho was stacked
>I fucked her from the back with my gun to her back
>I left up out his crib with dollar and purple hat

Can we see the ingredients label?

It’s a low tier panettone as it is, nothing wrong with it of course but be aware that there’s a big difference with the more expensive ones.

Try looking for these brands in your online stores: vergani, Fiasconaro, Filippi.

Also there are Italian bakeries in Ausland (one is called San Valentino) that makes fresh panettone for like 39$ aud and I strongly suggest to buy that one
>>
>>20975562
as much as i like panotone, id be lying if i didnt say i much prefer stollen

>>20976643
Sorry my fault it’s 68$ Aud.

It’s like 40€, the same we pay artisanal ones in Italy.

Ok anon, it’s trash.

That’s not panettone, I’m not even sure if it’s an authentic Italian product at this point.

Pic related is the cheapest panettone at my supermarket, a mass produced one, 5€ on sale for 1 kg.
>>
>>20976714
Second ingredient in the one I got is sugar. Don't think everybody has access to ones like you
>>
>>20976723
You can anon, trust me.

Check this one too they make panettone (as per their instagram and google maps pages): https://www.dolcetto.com.au/

Also you can find these ones, they’re true low tier panettone of good quality: https://youtu.be/OXX5RevbkOk

You should find them easily in Italian deli shops or imports, maybe even at the supermarket.
>>
>>20976731

>>
>>20976731
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256711555117

>>20976740
Who cares, they’re cooked.
>>
>>20976740
They’re pasteurised because since they’re industrial products they buy hundreds of buckets of pasteurised yolks because they make them many months before Christmas unlike higher quality ones that are made in November at least.

Also I’m pretty sure even artisanal bakeries use pasteurised eggs.

some don't cope well and lash out at others, some can't cope and kill themselves, only a select few manage to flourish and heal others.

>>
>>20974321
you're right it is just seasonal bread. I dunno maybe it got marketed hard a few years ago or something. Even in my country department stores have started trotting it out every Christmas season since like 2014, before that you could only get it in specialty Italian shops. I buy it a few times every year, but only because it's pretty cheap here (3 to 10 euros).

It’s the usual made up brand for the export.
It’s an industrial panettone, at least is made with butter instead of palm oil, of course being sold in Europe, so try it if you like but don’t expect a high quality product. It may taste good.

I'll let you guys know. I just got it at grocery outlet.
>>

You can easily eat it if you then do a 100km 4000m D+ bike ride. You'll probably still be in a caloric deficit.
Don't let your memes be dreams.

Get one

I buy these in like January when they're $2 at Grocery Outlet and make French toast out of them. No way I'm paying $15+ for some fruitcake that's mostly air.

>>
>>20981318
Really? Had a classic Losion in a tin about 7 years ago and it was enjoyable. Defintely a step above the average supermarket fake ones.
>>
>>20981359
it wasn't bad by any means but i was not impressed more than that. i remembered about it because of the font from the pic

>>
Pandoro is betterer
>>
>>20983442
i like both of them, stollen is the best though
>>
>>20983445
'doro is inferior to 'tone
>>
>>20978780
You can eat them plain just fine, they (the good ones at least) are buttery and sweet. But they're not too sweet so you can put something on one, eg custard, mostarda or even chocolate, or dip them. And they are moist. Like the other anon said pandoro and panettone are not meant to be dry and in fact if you get a dry one in Italy you know it's a low tier brand.
>>
>>20971697
The Notone.
>>
>>20971697
plain, any sort of filling ruins it
