Vanilla is the ultimate ice cream flavor. Dazs is king of course, but Breyer's natural vanilla/vanilla bean is also pretty good for the price.

I once was in a college class and first day they went around the room and asked what your favorite ice cream flavor is. I said vanilla and the whole room laughed.

My favourite used to be pistache. I havent had it in ten years. Dont even know why, just didnt eat that much ice cream and went banana or memeapolitan for cost reasons. I dont even know if I still like pistache.
I dont think vanilla is that good. Vanilla is the vanilla of ice cream flavors.

I think they don't use enough, or they use artificial vanilla. Especially since ice cream is frozen which dulls some flavors. When I've made cookies or something at home with a good amount of real vanilla, it's a lot tastier.
>>
For me it's pistachio almond.

for me its peanut butter with mini peanutbutter cups

What's the best ice cream brand?

I like haagen dasz's caramel icecream but it's overpriced as fuck.
I can't find a decent one that doesn't charge an arm and a leg.
thankfully nobody in my poor ass town buys that shit so every couple weeks they have to sell it for like 60% off to free up the shelf space kek

Dazs is always on sale every month or so, so you just have to catch it at the right time. Also, it's 50% denser than most ice creams so you do get more bang in terms of amount per dollar.
>>20975560
Natural vanilla has a better texture than most of its other flavors because it only uses tara gum, which is less stripey and also doesn't turn goopy when it melts.
>>
>>20974887
Breyers isn’t even ice cream.

I don't like how Breyers can't call themselves ice cream but Frozen Dairy Dessert.

Why can't you call breyers ice cream and is that why it tastes so icy and not creamy?

Breyer's has like 10 different vanilla flavors. Most of them are shit, but a few are top quality. Natural Vanilla isn't labeled frozen dairy dessert. Nigger.
>>
>>20975958
Please show me one that says ice cream and I'll believe you double nigger. In any case, if 98% what you produce is dairy dessert shit I am not going to try to find the one special rare one that isn't. Breyers was always OK but everyone knew it was icy frozen vanilla sugar water.

Breyer's sells both ice cream and "frozen dairy desserts" you triple nigger. If it's not labeled frozen dairy dessert then it's implied to be ice cream. Frozen dairy dessert just means there's less milk fat per volume since Breyer's likes using skim milk in most of its flavors.

Ok quadruple nigger... Definitely nothing fishy when natural vanilla not ice cream but implied won't melt.

Lol stupid.
>>
>>20976084
I literally had it last week, quintuple nigger. It melts just fine. Even faster than most ice brands, actually. And it doesn't have a shitty slimey foam texture when melted, but more pleasantly watery like haagen dazs. Breyer's uses varying formulas of ice cream batters compared to other brands. The formulas that use more skim milk, stabilizers, and have more air whipped become "frozen dairy desserts" and take longer to melt due to the gums turning the batter into dough. The formulas that are more minimalistic which they use for their "natural" line are real ice cream and have completely different textures.

I know my ice cream, faggot. Breyer's is a miss 70% of the time but I can recognize when it hits a mark.

Frozen dairy dessert is a term used to describe a type of frozen treat that meets certain criteria set by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). To qualify as a frozen dairy dessert, a product must contain less than 10% dairy milkfat, unlike ice cream which requires a minimum of 10% milkfat. This means frozen dairy desserts typically have a smoother, fluffier texture due to more air whipped in and may contain additives like corn syrup, whey, and diglycerides.

Key differences from ice cream:
Lower milkfat content (less than 10%)
Higher levels of overrun (incorporated air)
May contain dairy alternatives or additives not found in traditional ice cream
Texture is often smoother and fluffier
Examples of frozen dairy desserts:
Many commercial brands, such as Breyers, offer both ice cream and frozen dairy dessert options
Low-calorie or reduced-fat ice cream alternatives may also be labeled as frozen dairy desserts
Some frozen yogurt or non-dairy frozen desserts may also be referred to as frozen dairy desserts

In summary: Frozen dairy dessert is a type of frozen treat that meets FDA guidelines and has distinct differences in terms of milkfat content, texture, and ingredients compared to traditional ice cream. When shopping for frozen desserts, be sure to check the packaging for labels like “frozen dairy dessert” or “low-fat ice cream” to understand the product’s composition and characteristics.

what's really funny is that europoors don't actually make the +/- 10% milkfat distinction and just call everything 'ice cream'

Is this /ck/ or /fit/? So what if it's not real ice cream? What matters more is its taste and texture. I'll gladly eat wet sawdust and ash as long as it tastes like the finest, smoothest vanilla ice cream.
