he's asking if you like to eat in a restaurant with a load of loud obnoxious people? OR do you like to have a quiet dinner by yourself? or maybe with someone you know?
>>
>>20975350
depends, if its a large feast then family style is fine, otherwise individually plated meal
>>

Family style:
Food is ordered for the table or easily shareable even if served individually due to extremely large portions. Waitstaff will generally serve the food then fuck off for the next seven years. Expect leftovers.
Plated meal service:
Food is served in courses, sharing is difficult to impossible to do due to small portions. Waitstaff will be constantly up your cunt with the next course.

The terminology OP is using isn't typical but easily understandable.

noisy loads of obnoxious people grabbing at food. that's what I said.

Preference is plated by the kitchen, or tableside, and I want courses in order. There are exceptions, such as when you eat chinese or indian food, you always are ordering platters for the table and then split it. There has to be some flexibility or understanding, that you wouldn't order a personal pizza to avoid sharing, or that an antipasto salad serves 4 people, not one.

plated. i dont like to share

>people grabbing at food
There may be people who don't understand etiquette in your family. For example, salt and peppers is passed as a set. I'd also assume the head of the table/oldest person goes first to plate himself, and that people pass everything, entirely, and wait until everyone is served and all has been passed before taking a bite.

>local family owned restaurant started in the 1950s
>old farm house converted to restaurant, long before anything else was there, town built around it
>small menu, everything home made, main dish hand breaded fried chicken with meat from local farm
>amazing home made corn fritters
>everything served family style
>my family went for outings there for for decades

>just up and closed with no notice last year
>>
Both involve too much food I'll never eat. Just give me a singular entree.

shut the fuck up retarded bitch ass

Rather eat at home. Don’t need multiple people touching my utensils before it reaches my table.
