Anything that requires milk and you think coconut would improve the taste of. Pancakes maybe? Eggnog? Would make an interesting white russian.
>>
>>20975779
Cook rice in it with sugar and spices, delicious!
>>
>>20975779
Mix it with crushed pineapple and make vegan pina colada ice cream.
>>
>>20975779
Simmer it with a bit of sugar to replace eagle brand in desserts.
Exactly what I did with sally's baking addiction's lemon bars this week and it was really good

Chicken Laksa is one of the best noodle soups in the world! and it's coconut cream based
>>

Why do they have to stick a boiled egg on everything?

Chickens are native to SE Asia, they just wander around everywhere. Eggs are free and abundant.

You can throw it in the fridge and wait til the cream separates. Scoop the cream off, blend with egg yolk and sugar, and freeze. Coconut ice cream, best garnished with chopped peanuts

Coconut jelly.
>actually, I wonder if using instant pineapple Jell-O with coconut milk would yield something like a piƱa colada jelly
Mango sticky rice.
Opor (curry like soup from Java).
Titiyas (Chamorro tortillas made with coconut milk and wheat flour; I posted a cookalong for them ages ago)
Tropical oatmeal.
Rice and peas.
Coconut tres leches (swap the whole milk for coconut milk).
Coconut candy (might be difficult for you if you don't have access to nut flour).
Greens, breadfruit, coconut milk and saltpork.
>the missus makes this and it's fucking delicious; we went to a Kenyan restaurant back in October and there was a menu item, muhogo wa nazi (i think that was the name) that sounded extremely similar: cassava and greens in coconut milk. No one at our table ordered it so I don't know if it has any salted neat in it but it was neat to see that Trinidad had clear African influence in its home cooking even if restaurant stuff is all Indian
I use coconut cream or oil in place of lard when I make red bean paste at home (I also use vanilla sugar for it ).
Bubur kacang (rice pudding with beans and coconut milk). I usually make it with mung beans (kacang hijau) but I hate how they smell as they cook and occasionally use red beans (kacang merah) instead.
Kolak (Indonesian dessert soup with various fruits and yams in sweetened, pandan flavoured coconut milk).
There's probably South American stuff with coconut milk, idfk

milk is 3.25% fat, the coconut milk in the OP is 19% fat. they are not interchangeable.

Oh yeah, every time I speak to one of them there's a chicken in the background.
>>
>>20975885

If you haven't tried Beef Rendang before you are in for a treat. It's one of the tastiest foods on the planet. It's made from slow cooking beef in coconut milk and spices, until the water content mostly boils away and the coconut sugar caramelises... The longer you cook it, the better it gets.

It's Aroy D. No cream wll ever separate. It's coconut extract (70%), water and E435, Polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monostearate, a seed oil derivative. Daily recommended intake for the latter is 25 mg per day, per kg of body weight for all the E-numbers between 430 and 436.
>You can throw it in the fridge and wait til the cream separates. Scoop the cream off
I wouldn't do that if I were you, you're killing yourself.
>>
>>20977313
>a seed oil derivative.
