>want to go whole foods while keeping it retard simple>example: chop a few things or open a can, toss it in a pan, cook, eat>Options available for veggies: 8959498721300>Options for protein and fat: 5 (chicken breast, steak, ground beef, eggs and fish)I like 95% of the veggies, and most of it even comes canned or frozen if I wish, so I'm good to go for veggies. What other proteins are there? Or am I gonna be heavily dependent on doctoring up the 5 things with different seasonings? So uh..... beans, cheese? What about fat? ....is it gonna have to be nuts and seeds and more fish? ....butter and olive oil?
>>20976811Whole Foods is no longer the hipster, expensive, inconvenient place it was 15 years ago. It's owned by Amazon now and they have pretty much everything you can get at Walmart or whatever for low prices. The Amazon brands are lower quality but they still have high end slop too.t. Shopped at the Arlington, VA whole foods for 2 years when stationed in DC
>>20976811You must not have looked around for very long. Whole Foods is notorious for having specialty meats. They have pork, turkey, bison, quail eggs, chicken liver pate etc. Pretty sure they also have ostrich snack sticks.
>>20976811>What other proteins are there?Beans, sausages, tofu, all sorts of dairy products, different kinds of animals, different kinds of fish, etc. You can only think of those five because that's all you ever eat.
>>20976811>>20977117>>20977134sry I meant I'm going to eat whole foods, not go to the store.>>20977139>You can only think of those five because that's all you ever eatnuh-uh there's a few more things but it's all slathered with non whole food things. Like ribs. It's probly the bbq sauce that makes them good and probly not that great without bbq. >sausagesmost have added sugars & shit>tofu>look up how to cook ityeah that might be too much work. Can I just toss in some soy sauce while it's cooking and call it a day?
my go to easy meal is cabbage and sausage soup with chicken broth, carrrots, celery, onions, and anything else I feel like throwing in therejust chop, throw in pan and boil it
>>20977559>nuh-uh there's a few more things but it's all slathered with non whole food things.nah you're just retarded. why'd you leave out pork entirely? no pork chops, loin, tenderloin? why only chicken breast? are you worried about the fats in darker cuts of chicken? but then you're also worried about not getting enough fat. chicken's a good fat. use the whole bird. ground chicken is good too. there are way more options for beef too. I mean, steak alone is multiple cuts that are all different. not to mention chuck, or roast cuts. seafood introduces tens of different proteins. fish alone has tons of variety, but what about shrimp, shellfish, bivalves, squid/octopus?don't discount offals either, they're very good for you and can be tasty if you know how to cook them. liver, gizzards etc. on top of all that, you can make multiple different dishes with the same cut of meat. I could make probably 15 or 20 different things with a chicken. you gotta open your horizons, man.
>he missed the camel and wombat aisle
whole foods is a cool perk from prime even though as of like two years ago they now charge for delivery even if you have primehaven't been to a store in like three years aside from the liquor store (although they deliver booze they don't deliver cigarettes)
