I made some cute pumpkins with a pumpkin pie filling! This was just a trial run as practice before I make them again for Thanksgiving, but they came out perfectly. What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods? Here's an ingredient list if you want to know what's in the pumpkins:Filling: (makes about double what you need for the skin)Full 15oz can of pumpkin pureeFull 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk2 large eggs1 tsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp ground ginger1/2 tsp ground nutmeg1/2 tsp salt1/3 cup corn starch (to help the filling thicken for shaping)Skin:Full 15oz can of pumpkin puree2 cups glutinous rice flour1/2 cup corn starch6 tbsp sugarAlso some dried cranberries for the stems.
>>20982241they look like orange anuses pooping out a bloody turd
>>20982247How will OP recover from this
>>20982241Looks charming! Usually I make little birch log cookies
I detest pumpkin spice things but those are adorable. Your husband must be please with how much of a catch you are.
>>20982241I like it. If this thread was around in early October, I might've tried to make a jack-o-lantern version of this with bits of chocolate and pumpkin seeds in the fillingI like the idea of incorporating cranberry, but I'd put them in the filling for texture and find something else for the stem
>>20982263I agree, they look awesome. His husband will be proud.
>>20982279Regardless of whether OP is male or female, s/he is clearly making enough food for a group ergo, s/he cares about someone and likely has a bunch of someones who care about OP in return. Can the same be said of you? >>20982241Again, pumpkin spice is gross but I'm happy for your success. I'm imagining that these are steamed bao-like thingies, yeah?
>>20982299>Can the same be said of you?nta but no
>>20982299Basically yeah. I cook the filling on the stove like a custard, let it chill overnight, make the dough for the skin, then get bits of filling and wrap it inside the skin, shape it into a ball, use a toothpick to make the grooves, then jam a sliced dried cranberry in the top. Then it gets steamed for 10 minutes, and it's done. It tastes better after being chilled in the fridge though. And I'm an unmarried heterosexual male with no significant other. This batch will be going to my book club meeting tomorrow to show off to a bunch of old ladies, and I'll make another batch for my family on Thanksgiving.

>>20982299Did that post bother you for some reason? Why does your fake positive attitude have to extend to whining about a joke?
>>20982316I would think cishet OP's grey minge book club would miss him if he died suddenly and unexpectedly. Who would care if you did?
>>20982319>t. friendless smurf, the one even gargamel doesn't want to eat

Ok let's see the jack-o-lantern version. Also you have double the condensed milk you should.

>>20982404Have people actually ever used the word muttonhead? Do they still? All I think of when I see it is the name of a secondary antagonist in a video game I absolutely fucking adored as a kid, Popful Mail.
